If you are bringing your dog on holiday then we bet that being close to a good beach is a top priority! Here in Wales the gorgeous beaches at Tenby in the heart of Pembrokeshire are just perfect and there are areas where dogs are permitted all year round.

If you dog enjoys long walks then the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is just the place with mile after mile of trails to explore and stunning scenery all around. Cardigan Bay is also an excellent area to visit and here you can enjoy the beach, harbour and even a dolphin spotting boat trip with your pet. New Quay is the place for more challenging dog walking terrain including thrilling mountain walking.

Driftwood in Anglesey is a good example of a family holiday cottage by the sea. The property sleeps 4 and offers bright, airy accommodation just 150 yards from a huge sandy beach. Hiraeth is a good option for larger families as it sleeps up to 10. Located in rural Llandrindod Wells the detached barn conversion, affords wonderful valley views and has some lovely original features.

Pet Friendly Days Out in Wales
Parc Bryn Bach
Located in the beautiful heart of the South Wales Valleys, this is the perfect place for a day out with your dog. Set in 340 acres of mixed grass and woodland, the park features a 36-acre lake, picnic and barbeque areas and a regular programme of seasonal events.  There is also a visitor centre and visitors can take part in a wide range of instructor led activities including climbing, caving, gorge walking, kayaking and mountain biking. Dogs are permitted in the grounds but may have to be on leads in some areas.
Criccieth Castle
A medieval castle set in beautiful surroundings. The Castle is one of the areas most popular attractions and is both family and dog friendly. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic and the site offers good parking facilities. Dogs must be kept on leads.

Gelli Aur Country Park
Situated in Landeilo is a good for families and dogs and offers plenty of open space for children to play, some fantastic nature trails that your pet will love exploring and an on site deer park. Dogs welcome but must be on leads in some areas.
Wepre Park
Offers play areas for children to run around, miles of walking trails, and a visitor centre with café serving tasty snacks. The site also boasts some old castle ruins. Dogs on leads are welcome.
