Yorkshire Dales Pet Friendly Cottages

yorkshire dales pet friendly cottagesThe Yorkshire Dales is one of the most popular areas in the UK for cottage holidays, lodge breaks and camping trips. The natural beauty of the area combines with quaint villages and welcoming market towns to offer everything needed for a fantastic holiday. The vibrant city of York is also on the doorstep with its 2000 years of history, cobbled streets and eclectic mix of individual shops, contemporary restaurants, bars and large department stores.

As a pet friendly holiday destination the Yorkshire Dales has a lot to offer. This beautiful region is an outdoor enthusiast's ideal holiday spot, with glorious countryside and plenty of wide open spaces for walking, riding and cycling.

The 79 mile Wolds Way trail extends through this area and down to the east coast passing through picturesque villages and breathtaking areas of natural beauty. The towns of Swanland, Skidby and Kirk Ella offer an array of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as friendly local pubs where dogs are made very welcome.

There are plenty of pet friendly cottages in the Yorkshire dales offering everything from cosy country retreats to impressive annexes in the grounds of stately homes. We like Sycamore Cottage for couples as it has a warm and welcoming feel, a delightful 'upside down' lay out and offers superb views and walking from the doorstep. Holly Lodge is perfect for families and sleeps 4. The immaculate barn conversion features exposed stonework and timbers and has a tranquil hillside position close to the village of Giggleswick. Both of these cottages are dog friendly and close to fantastic walks.
