Jacob's Retreat Reviews

Well what can I say, it is a lovely property in a very quiet spot, so perfect for anyone including families that want to escape the lively seaside towns. Of course they are only a short drive away. We did so much in our week here there is plenty to do around.. Jacob's retreat is only a 6 minute walk away from a beautiful beach, there is a small cafe, shop and car park if needed. We spent many evenings here having a beer, watching my son play and listening to the sea. The property has absolutely everything you could want inside, usually when we go away like this I take a few home essentials with me, I didn't this time based on a review I had read and they were right it has everything to make your stay comfortable. I would say the property could benefit from some fans for comfort only because we stayed over a heatwave.. We will definitely visit again. Had a super week away...
Just returned from a lovely peaceful week at Jacobs Retreat. What a find!!! Stones throw from beach, small wood and amenities. Had some great walks. Property just as described, very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. The sun room is perfect for relaxing and taking in the lovely pond views. Made 2 very demanding new friends...2 geese who expected feefing everything we opened the doors.
Jacobs Retreat was a real retreat. We wanted to relax and reboot, we had a wonderful break, a stones throw from the beach and peaceful. We would recommend this cosy home from home. Our dog was worn out from the walks on the beach.
What a find! We stayed at Jacobs retreat the first week of November with our two dogs. One of our dogs is extremely anxious of fireworks and this was an ideal spot away from the noise. The bungalow is situated near a fishing lake and a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach. Jacobs retreat was an ideal base for us and the accommodation itself is top notch. Outside space extensive secure private space with plenty of garden furniture would have used more in the summer months and a lovely view across the lake. Lounge extremely comfortable couch with smart tv. Games and books too. Kitchen everything you could need is provided. As a seasoned traveller I always pack a few of my own kitchen gadgets, but there really was no need. Good quality knives , plenty of crockery and cooking equipment. Fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and iron and ironing board. Dining room table, chairs and placemats. Bedrooms 3 beautifully decorated rooms with plenty of hangers and storage. Even enough for overpackers like me! Bathroom Electric shower which was very good Sunroom Even in November this room was lovely and warm. Shoe rack for your wellies and walking boots. Water bowl for dogs. A book of instructions and helpful hints was provided which we found very useful for the local area. To be honest too many things to mention, but Jacobs retreat is fabulous accommodation in a lovely location. Highly recommend

We had a lovely week at Jacobs Retreat. It very clean and well equipped. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The sunroom was lovely and we were lucky enough to have some warm days to sit in the large outside area and enjoy the view of the lake. Its enclosed and private with only an occasional car passing beyond the fence. The area has many dogfriendly beaches. We recommend Huftoft with its lovely cafe. A bonus is that you can do online supermarket shopping and online food orders in addition to the local bar meals at Popas kitchen and bar. A relaxing spot and we hope to return next year.
The bungalow was clean and tidy when we arrived . Here and there it may need some tlc and the garden weeds need dealing with . The one downside of the bungalow was the lack of a dish washer . The Court is a nice area but a couple of empty properties let it down . Not the owners fault of course . We really liked Anderby Creek as a good base to get round the area .
A beautiful cottage with all amenities required for a great holiday. The place is spotlessly clean and situated only a short distance from the beach. Beds are very comfortable with plenty of space for all luggage in each bedroom. The welcome tray was well stocked with milk sachets, teabags, coffee, sugar and some biscuit packs. Great place to stay with a lovely view from the back garden across to a small lake.
Lovely views from the patio beds very comfortable, pubs nearby very dog friendly
Very nice place and was as described, everything you would need for your stay, very clean and well equipped ideally located for the beach and and surrounding places to visit. Perhaps a little early in the season as for everything to be open.even in Mablethorpe and Chapel most cafes and food places seem to shut by 3pm food and drinks at poppas bar ok ,but the 1st visit no food available again at 4ish.but saying all that this is out of the owners control, so not detriment to the owner and I would 5 recommend and would stay again.
Lovely bungalow very well presented every thing you need to make the holiday stay nice
Stephen
Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Delightful and peaceful patio with lovely view over the lake. Real seaside feel to the bungalow and close to the sea with lovely beaches. Nice pubs to visit. Will certainly be going back.
