12 Blue Hill Park Reviews

We did have a hot week and the blinds in the seating area werent able to be adjusted to keep the sun out. We had the windows open, but it was a very hot apartment. Not sure the second bedroom is a king size bed when zipped together. A bit disappointed that there was no welcome pack. Although not always listed, we have always had one at previous properties we have stayed at. Its a nice touch to be able to have a nice cup of teacoffee on arrival after a long journey and to promote local produce. The car park numbering is a bit odd! We were staying in apartment number 12, but parking space was number 10! This caused a bit of confusion when other holiday lets arrived and seemed to think we were in their space!!! Other than these points, its a well positioned apartment and we did enjoy our stay, Thankyou x

We have been visiting the Lake District for 10 years now and 12 Blue Hill Park is easily the brightest and warmest place we have stayed in. It is relatively new, with floor to ceiling windows and excellent insulation, making it exceptionally comfortable. Parking is great too with extra space for visitors. The village is an easy 10 minute walk for this 74 year old so you don't need the car if you go out for dinner. There are minor signs of wear and tear but nothing to detract from the overall experience. We are already planning to book it again for our next visit.

All was great other than the bathroom around the chrome work, recessed wall shelf above bath and along bathsink seals could have been a little cleaner and the blindwindowsill in one corner of the twin room. Both suffered from black mouldmildew which is to be expected in the Lakes and we used the mouldmildew spray found in the flat, but didnt expect to need to do that on arrival. Maybe allow the cleaners a little longer though appreciate that in bathroom not having a detachable shower head and hose probably makes things tricky for them when cleaning the bathshower. One final minor thing is that the living room rug needs a good clean. Its great that dogs are allowed, we benefited by taking ours, but the rug looks like it has some stains on it.
The property was nicely decorated and well equipped. The parking was good especially with a dedicated space that can easily accommodate a fairly large car. The location is convenient to Ambleside town with all its shops and restaurants and also to bus services through the area much easier than driving and worrying about parking. The only slight downside was that the apartment felt a little grimy. It was superficially clean but cups had a few stains and kitchen surfaces were a little sticky. It was ok, not terrible, but not super clean. Probably an issue with the cleaning service rather than the owner and otherwise the apartment was really nice.
Property was ideal for our short stay in Ambleside. Quiet location yet within easy reach of the shops and cafes. Would definitely look to book again when we visit the area.

We are not usually ones for negative comments but feel you need to be made aware. We appreciate that the property is pet friendly but as soon as we opened the door to the property there was an awful smell of wet dog. We had to purchase cleaning materials as the only solution to get rid of the smell was to mop all the floors. We had to remove the mat at the bottom of the stairs as it was the worst cause of the smell. We left it just outside the door and replaced it before we left. After cleaning we went to put our shopping away only to find the fridge full of the last occupants half eaten food. We threw enough food away to fill the bin! Most of the food was uncovered so we then had to deep clean the fridge too. Not the best start to our holiday! The property itself was ok and had everything we needed but I think the cleanliness needs to be addressed.
Excellent apartment in a great central location to Ambleside
The property was modern, as shown on the Internet. Most facilities were good, however it was obvious that only a short clean had taken place between one guest and those following and the property should have been cleaner. The apartment was reasonable value for money but we would not stay there again as we would seek a more convenient property closer to the centre of Ambleside.

This is our second visit to the apartment & we would always book to return when heading to the Lake District in this area. We specifically wanted to book this apartment as we loved it so much the first time. A well situated, clean & well maintained property overall. Ideal if you travel with pets, a communal garden for quick toilet breaks in the morningevening, good external lighting outside the buildings. Parking for each property is numbered, a nice spacious living area, good cooking facilities, ovendishwasher & all the things you need to have a comfortable stay. Beds are comfy & well maintained & an added bonus of a washerdryer. Really peaceful & quiet area only a short walk away from town in Ambleside which is absolutely ideal. Couldnt recommend enough & already looking to book to return next year!

From the moment we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is of a high standard. The kitchen is compact but very well designed with all you need. The apartment had a designlike feel to it with features such as the vaulted ceiling and large picture window. It was a 1015 minute walk into town, uphill on way home which wasnt a problem as we dont mind a walk. The only slight problem we encountered was with the access road as it was very narrow with cars parked perhaps where they shouldnt be but you just have to take your time and its fine. We are planning a return visit. If youre contemplating whether or not to book, just do it!
We had a lovely stay at your apartment it was in a great location close to central Ambleside but away from any bustle. It was stylish, cosy, clean and well equipped. We ate in almost every night as we were so comfortable and tired after a days walking, we didnt wantneed to go out. Well definitely stay again.
