16 Seafield Terrace Reviews

We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Seafield terrace. The house is nicely decorated and has everything you need A well stocked kitchen, a comfortable living room and a large family bathroom with a great shower. The bedrooms are comfortable and we slept like logs all week. It is perfectly situated to explore the local area. We went to watch Newcastle play at St James and shop at Eldon square in the centre of Newcastle, the Royal navy museum in Hartlepool, Beamish open air museum and Durham city centre to shop and see the Castle and cathedral. All were easy to get to by car, but there is also excellent public transport with trains and buses going all over. The Durham city park and ride and tyne wear Metro are good value. South Shields itself has a nice seafront, plenty of shops, a market and loads of places to eat. We would recommend the Marine pub on the corner of Seafield terrace, Colmans fish and chips, Donatellos pizza and Lucky Chinese takeaway, There are plenty of other places we never got round to. Another bathroom or WC would be useful It wasnt an issue for us but might be for a larger party. Some very minor issues would be the lack of a soap dish or shelf for the shower as there is no where to put soap, shampoo, shower gel etc. and the lock on the bathroom door is quite high up to reach for smaller guests. A vacantengaged bolt halfway up the door would be better. If the plan for the locked upstairs room is for another bedroom or bathroom, we would definitely consider returning with extended family as they would also enjoy staying at Seafield terrace.

Absolutely fabulous from beginning to end. We had the pleasure of staying on Seafield Terrace for 3 weeks. Location, proximity to everywhere and the spaciousness of the house were beyond measure. Impeccably clean and so much room for visits from family and friends. Kitchen was amazing, beds comfy and bathroom huge. Could probably benefit from another loo but otherwise the perfect home for our holiday!!!!!
This property is in a great position for a stay to enjoy South Shields. First off the house was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. It was very peaceful at night. The layout of the property is very good and there was plenty of room for our party of four, although a large party may feel the need for an extra loo on the lower ground floor. Use of the hot tub was lovely after a days walking. The owner was very quick to respond to a couple of issues. Sight seeing opportunities are endless and we purchased a Day Rover ticket for the Ferry and Metro and went all over in a day. Lots of places to eat out and get takeaways. Harbour Lights pub was great for food and Colmans fish & chips takeaway was best. North Sheilds for the Fish Quay area very good and Newcastle Toon is our favourite place to be in the North East. This is a period house with some very nice features and even though it needs a few minor decor touch ups here and there it is a lovely house to stay in. Would easily stay again as there is all you need in the area for a great holiday.
