Our second visit to this firstclass accommodation delivered another extremely enjoyable and warm 2week stay. We were made welcome from beginning to end, hoping to return next year. The setting is extremely soothing and tranquil, with views to the coast and across open meadows. It is less than a 15minute drive to a selection of over 6 beaches each providing different opportunities, from surfing to relaxing. The village provides a friendly welcome with a pub, church, and a couple of shops, but Newquay is only 15 minutes away with supermarkets and dining out. If you want to cook for yourselves, there is an abundance of cooking aids or BBQ on the first floor balcony to relax and enjoy the quiet. We were not disturbed by the adjacent cricket ground or sports facilities, rather this added to the welcome feel of the village and setting. Thanks again to Rebecca. We have just come back from our holiday. What an amazing property! It had everything we needed. The owners have clearly thought about the essentials needed by holidaymakers. The living space was amazing, the beds were so comfortable and the garden was fabulous, our spaniel absolutely loved it, especially on the sunny days when he could chase the bird shadows! Not far at all from all the lovely beaches in and around Newquay but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet the village had to offer. The only downside for us was that there wasn't anywhere on foot as far as we know that we could walk our dog off lead as the village green does not allow dogs but this was definitely made up for by the big garden he could run around in! All in all a great holiday.

Absolutely loved our week in this lovely house ! Super house, gardens and location for our little family ! A lovely balance of Stylish yet comfortable and practical the place had everything we needed and the hosts were great ! Great location lovely beaches within 15 mins, little ones loved Lappa valley and easy access to wider Cornwall !

Beautiful property in a great location. The kitchen was well stocked, beds and sofa were very comfortable and the hot tub was a wonderful addition. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and there was a lovely view of the sunset from the upstairs patio. The only negative was that there is a skate park next to the property which was a little noisy and the spotlight shone directly into the living area once it had gone dark, but this was a minor issue and certainly did not impact our stay. Prior to arrival, I had mentioned I was celebrating by 40th birthday whilst there and the addition of birthday banners and birthday card for when we arrived were a lovely surprise and very thoughtful. Would love to return to the property on a future trip to Cornwall.

A lovely property in a great location for exploring the local area. The property was very clean and the owners were really nice and friendly and made our holiday feel extra special. Our only suggestion for the future would be providing additional towelsrobes for the hot tub but that is it.

The Host, Rebecca was very helpful. All the information before and during was extremely helpful. The house we call it the upside down house because the bedrooms are downstairs and the kitchen living area was upstairs was terrific exceeded our expectations. Excellent facilities. What a wonderful place to stay! So close to so many different days out we went to Holywell Bay, Perranporth, Newquay, St Ives, Padstow, Port Isaac and a brilliant place to enjoy the quiet village life. Lovely butchers and convenience store a walk away and we were even entertained one evening by the cricket ground next door. Skate park next door for the kids is ideal. The place itself was gorgeous comfy beds, great showers, lovely sun deck for BBQs and great to watch the sun set, everything you need in the kitchen and more, superb hot tub and beautiful garden. The hosts were absolutely brilliant communication was fabulous throughout the whole week, wonderful welcoming basket and instructions for everything were great. Thank you so much Rebecca and Phil for allowing us to stay!!!
This is a lovely property, a real home with everything you need to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer. A peaceful location with a lovely view from the balcony terrace, a private enclosed garden accessed by 2 of the 3 bedrooms and ample parking. This property is perfectly positioned to see so many of Cornwalls attractions in less than 1 hour of driving. We loved it so much that we have already booked for next year.

Stunning modern house with everything you need for a great holiday. Walking distance to a shop and pub and easy driving distance of many amazing beaches such as Perranporth and Porthtowan. Huge hot tub and spacious garden which our dog loved! Very nice welcome pack there when we arrived! Would 100 recommend!

We had a fantastic time at Avalennek! The house was spotless and smelt so fresh and clean on arrival. The welcome pack was such a lovely suprise! We enjoyed having a mini cream tea to get into the cornish spirit! The house was super spacious and had everything you could think of. Its definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed! The view from the balcony was stunning and it was lovely to sit out on an evening and have a bbq! The garden was perfect for our pooch to stretch her legs on a morning. It got the sunshine right until the end of the day as well. I had a few questions before arrival and the owner was so nice and super quick at responding! We had the best time and would highly recommend

Lots of relaxing space and great to come home to after a day out. The village is friendly with a great local pub! A really lovely house. Great decor. All needs have been thought of. Three well sized bedrooms. Beautiful terrace looking out over the garden. The village itself has a lovely pub, a well stocked shop and a fantastic butchers.

The house was absolutely amazing, it had everything you could possibly need. Very dog friendly too with an amazing enclosed garden which our dog loved just wondering around in. We as a family had an amazing relaxing time, even though the weather was not great, it did not impact, as we had this beautiful house to relax and play games in. The welcome pack from the owner was so special, especially the flowers, balloon and card for our anniversary very thoughtful. Thank you for making our holiday so special. Recommend, friendly quiet local pub, pheasant Inn, pasties from butchers are amazing, The Smugglers Den Inn, amazing food, and dog friendly, the Bowgie Inn lovely location, no dogs allowed inside but can sit outside, there is seating looking out over the beach. Football golf is great for a couple of hours exercise and fresh air. Quad biking is expensive, but well worth it as our son and his friend loved it, again dog friendly you can watch from the bridge with your dog.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the superb Avalennek in early July. The place was just so lovely, clean, modern and everything you could think of needing was there for you to use. We all loved the hot tub and the dogs enjoyed your enclosed garden. The hamper of goodies left ready for our arrival was also a lovely touch. It's also so conveniently situated for everything we wanted to do. Beach days at Crantock, Holywell & Perranporth. Lappa Valley for the children. And St.Ives, Tintagel Castle and the Eden Project for days out. Thank you so much to Rebecca, we hope to come and stay again soon. Xx
Avalennek is a lovely holiday home. The upside down feature has many benefits especially the terrace and views from the lounge area where you can look across the country side and watch a spot of cricket!! The house is very well equipped and a dip in the hot top rounds off a fun day. Thank you Rebecca for the goodies which greeted us. We had a brilliant holiday and hope to return next year.

Beautiful property, well provisioned, excellent area, short drive to all amenities and sunset.
The property was very well equipped and honestly felt like a home away from home. The welcome pack was a lovely touch, and we enjoyed the balcony and hot tub. Was really well equipped for our dog, as well. We had a lovely time. The house itself was lovely, and wonderful beaches and walks only a half hour or less! drive away. Would recommend to friends and family and definitely stay again.

Our second time of going back. We were welcomed with a cream tea, cakes and lots of other goodies. The house is beautiful inside and out very spacious, very clean, lots of games for young children in the event of rain. It's conveniently located for many of the attractions in Cornwall. We had all the facilities we needed and the equipment to eat in if desired, incuding a BBQ. There is also a hot tub which would easily fit up to six people. We will definitely return.

We had a lovely week. The house was just as described and had everything we needed. Great location too thats literally a 10 min drive to Holywell beach. Bedrooms are all a good size and well decorated. Our 10 and 14 year old loved their rooms and own space! Rebecca was great. We had a small issue with the kitchen sink being blocked and she came round the next morning and got it all sorted for us. The hot tub also played up on the last but one day but again excellent communication to try and get it sorted. Wed definately recommend and would love to return in the future! Oh and the hamper on arrival was amazing.. scones, wine, milk, shortbread.. lovely touch

Fantastic place ! Spotless. Very warm and welcoming touches throughout. Facilities fabulous and everything in full working order. Absolutely loved our stay here and if we visit Cornwall again, this is where we will stay for sure. Brilliant hosts ! Cannot recommend it high enough.

The property boasts excellent comforts throughout, with luxurious beds, lovely showers, ample seating both indoors and outside and a beautiful hot tub. The enclosed garden is more than suitable for your fur baby to enjoy, along with loads of thought by the owners by providing a feed station, and throws. When you walk in, you really get an overwhelming Wow. This is nice. Then once you have seen the size of the bedrooms. You enter the lounge, diner, kitchen area on the first floor. Yes, the area is light welcoming and extremely well configured. The balcony boasts a very useful seating area with a gas BBQ not used by us. Views over the local cricket pitch and the town football club. For a perfect base to visit Cornwall you must stay here....
The stay at this home was better than expected! It was clean on arrival, is really nicely decorated and has all of the facilities you will need. The balcony and hot tub are great and the local scones that were left for us on checking in were a really nice touch. Will definitely be returning!

Fabulous property and equipped with everything you would need. Would highly recommend. Tucked away off the road means its nice and quiet and lovely views from the balcony. Village feel but only 10 mins from Newquay so you get the best of both worlds.
