Broadlands Reviews

The property is in a wonderful location & had amazing views, you could not get tired of them! It is extremely well furnished & comfortable with lovely beds, towels & even dressing gowns! I was nervous about the oven looks like an Aga but actually it was very easy & quick to use. The location for the top 3rd of Cornwall was great & we found everything where we wanted to go was easily accessible. The only tiny draw back for us being all adults, was the location of the bathrooms, one at either end of the cottage but this wasnt a big issue & having the dressing gowns really helped. We would definitely book again if we return to this part of Cornwall & so would the friends who stayed with us.
This was our 2nd time staying at Broadlands and we love this house. Lot of space for eight people with the large lounge, dinner table and sunroom all with stunning views of Sennen Cove, Lands End the ocean and even the Scillies on a good day.

Its the second time weve stayed here and its an excellent property and great location. We arrived at the time we could get on the property but the cleaner was still there maybe shed had a bad day and was running late but the kitchen and entrance hall floor was soaking wet It would have taken at least half an hour to dry so I went in and went over the floor with kitchen roll so we could get in that was the only thing which was slightly annoying but, as I say, maybe shed had events happen that day to make her late.
Lovely holiday, views amazing from massive windows weather permitting. Scones and little extras a lovely welcome gift!
Broadlands was much more than I expected. From a warm welcoming with scones and some fizz to the lovely decor and the most amazing views, it was spotless. The beds are so comfortable with good quality linen and dressing robes for the hot tub which we thoroughly enjoyed. We even enjoyed watching planes go by from the garden. The photos dont do justice to what the property offers. Some great cafes and restaurants are just a few mins away as well. I highly recommend and would definitely come back next year.
This was our second summer holiday at this beautiful house. It was lovely and clean on our arrival and smelled amazing. Unfortunately it was foggy on day one but it soon cleared up and we could see the stunning scenery that we remembered from our first visit, the most fantastic sea views. We loved having the hot tub, perfect after a day exploring the area. We had 6 adults and 2 dogs and there was more than enough space for us all. We have had the best week and hope to return.

Broadlands exceeded our expectations, well equipped and furnished property. A lovely welcoming pack of scones, jam and cream Jam first being Cornish, along with some wellbeing fizz. The kitchen has everything to make your stay go well, dishwasher and washing machine tabs in case you forgot. The bedrooms have luxury linen, towels, dressing robes for the hot tub and quality mattresses for a great sleep. The lounge and conservatory have quality furnishings and throws, games for the kids. For our dog, Nova, there are enclosed gardens with an added paddock bonus for a good run out. St Just is literally a 5 minute walk for your supplies and a couple of good pubs. We did several longer walks towards Cape Cornwall, Cot Valley and onto the Coast paths, Cornish Choughs and good bird life, many choices and lovely not to take the car out. We are only up the road in Wadebridge, North Cornwall but we could have been anywhere and so nice to see the old Cornwall. We will back in November. Julie, Tris, Ellie and Nova our dog.
Absolutely loved our stay rolling country sude everywhere you looked a lovely ... Absolutely loved our stay rolling country sude everywhere you looked a lovely sea view beautiful bungalow comfortable beds all very clean very well equipped we had a lovely holiday and would totally recommend this property close to local shop and pubs
This was possible the best property and location we have stayed in. It was spotless, very difficult to find anything wrong. Shall return again as soon as possible.

Warm and welcoming lovely situation with outstanding views pity we couldn't use the garden and hot tub due to winter conditions. Would love to visit again in the summer .

The picture of the property and surrounding area does not do this property justice. this is by far the nicest sykes property we had stayed in and we have stayed in many . the views out to sea were stunning even on a wet day, furnishing and bedrooms are just perfect we were very sad to leave as well was the dog he loved the huge garden to rummage through . missed my coffee in the beautiful conservatory looking out to sea and doing the crossword definitely coming back next year
We have had the most wonderful week. A property that is offered in immaculate condition that also accepts dogs and has a completely safe garden for them is such a rarity. Outstanding views and a very rural feel but within minutes to St Just which has everything you need. Going to re book for next year!
As per the listing, everything was in good order and the perfect place for our summer holiday. Hot tub a lovely bonus and good sized garden for the young ones. Amazing views and even better than we thought it would be. Loved watching the planes arriving and departing the local airport! And of course the fantastic weather helped!
We absolutely loved this cottage it was perfect for us. Our mother is 80 and the rooms being all on one level was ideal. The photos looked fantastic but in reality it was so much better, the views are absolutely stunning! We had 2 dogs and having the space in the big gardens was a big plus. We loved the hot tub. It's our first stay in this part of the country and it was amazing. We found any areas we wanted to visit were only a short drive away. In fact we loved it so much we already re booked. Thankyou for a fantastic holiday !!
We had an excellent stay at Broadlands, the quality was consistent throughout, linen, crockery and cutlery. Our elderly parents came with us as it was a 90th birthday celebration, we would recommend a hand rail or the edge of the steps painted white as a contrast, as my mother is also visually impaired, and found the steps challenge to navigate from the dining room to the patio area. Stunning location and property.
We have had an amazing time at Broadlands the bungalow was very well equipped with everything you could possibly want. It was lovely and clean. The cream teas was a very welcome surprise after a long trip and we throughly enjoyed them. Our dog loved the garden and the treats . We all enjoyed the hot tub which was just fabulous, watching the planes fly by. So thank you Broadlands its been a fantastic week spent with family . We will definitely be back. Karen

Superb all round and the scones were a very unexpected surprise
What an amazing property in a wonderful setting. Extremely clean, comfortable and well presented. The owners have thought of absolutely everything, it really is like a home from home! We didn't have to fight over the bedrooms as they were all lovely. The fabulous scones, jam and cream, were a very welcome treat. as were the doggy treats Not forgetting the hot tub.. Robes supplied! Views from the front of property are amazing Lands End in the distance and watching planes take off and land at Land's End airport Some fabulous walks from the property... Recommended the walk along the lane behind the house, up to the top of the hill, quite narrow and steep but well worth it for the 360 views at the top. Will definitely be returning! Thank you !
We had an excellent week at this property. The house was warm and cosy with plenty of room and lots of little touches to make our stay even better. We had lousy weather as we had two named storms come in so 3 days of high winds and a further two full days obliterated in sea fog but it didn't stop us from enjoying the area and the house. We had two dogs with us and it really made a change to have a garden that was fully dog proof unlike a lot of listed properties who make this claim and it isn't when you get there. Thank you.

We relaxed straight into our stay at Broadlands and with the wonderful views across to Lands End, it was no surprise. The welcome treats were a very nice touch, especially the Easter Egg which our two boys enjoyed. Cottage was very clean, well equipped and the perfect place to relax for a week.
Nicola
An absolutely fabulous bungalow in a beautiful location. The property was spotlessly clean and prepared for us perfectly, with wood for the fire, welcome scones, Jam and cream and even treats for our dog. This holiday home provides the perfect base to explore and is so well equipped. We particularly appreciated the gorgeous hot tub from which you could watch the small planes take off and land at Lands End airport, as well as enjoy the stunning vistas and sea views. We will definitely be booking again and soon!
Great property and great location, shame about the cleanliness , spent our first evening cleaning the property ourselves.
Thank you for a lovely stay. The bungalow is well equipped, comfortable and very light, bright and spacious. Ample parking. Great having a large secure space for the dog to run around. Lovely views, easy access to walks including into St Just. Appreciated relaxing in the hot tub after a day out.
Broadlands is a very comfortable well equipped holiday home. Spotlessly clean and tasteful decor and furnishings. As a family of 7 plus 3 month old we had the best time, It was a very comfortable home from home. Nice walks for the dogs nearby. A steady walk into St Just, which is well equipped for eating and shopping. The views from the house were spectacular, and the Hot Tub was just the icing on the cake. We would have no hesitation recommending Broadlands to any of our friends and other family. The owners have thought of everything to make Broadlands a perfect escape.
We had a great stay at Broadlands, the views are spectacular. Thank you Karen for our afternoon tea, treat for the dog and beautiful flowers. We would definitely stay here again, maybe with family next time as the bungalow is massive.
Broadlands is a beautiful and very peaceful place to stay. We had a very enjoyable holiday to remember with my mum and dad. An idea place to jump in the car and explore the many nearby beautiful Cornish beaches. We were spoilt for choice! The path behind the bungalow led to a local walk which was a perfect spot to watch the sun set after a day at the beach. We will miss the stunning views and Broadlands is the perfect place to relax after a busy day exploring and would definitely recommend.
Lovely house. Huge. Loved the spa. Beautifully decorated. We loved our time there.
Fantastic place to celebrate a special occasion and family holiday. Hope to come back again. The panoramic views of the sea and coast from Broadlands was spectacular, just beautiful. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, together with cream tea set out on the table on arrival. Clotted cream, Cornish tea, coffee, milk, apple juice also provided. Facilities and furnishings were all of good quality, bedrooms comfortable and spacious living areas. Only negatives were low water pressure for the showers and could do with another shower room for 8 people sharing, small dressing tables in all bedrooms would have been useful, cling film, tin foil in the kitchen. We found the garden parasol already broken, propped it up best we could but kept falling over, would have been useful during the hot summer sunshine while we were there.
Trudie
Absolutely beautiful property that was well equipped with everything we needed. Stunning views, great location and added bonus of a hot tub. We didnt want to leave and will definitely look to return again in the future.
