Broadleaf Lodge, Skellingthorpe

We had a wonderful stay at Broadleaf lodge, our 3 families & all the children had the best time. The lodge was extremely clean & spacious. Plenty of room for us all. The outside area was so peaceful & lovely to sit outside & unwind after a busy day. Jane the owner was lovely & on hand if we needed anything. Definitely recommended this lodge & we will be back again. Georgie

Lovely place to stay, very comfortable, clean dog friendly and well positioned for visiting Lincolnshire.

A wonderful cottage with plenty of room for 8 and a dog. Set on a very quiet country lane with many walks close by.The owners provided most things we needed for a wonderful stay with the kitchen well stocked with pots and pans to make meals. One thing we could have done with was a coat stand in the hallway or coat hooks in the utility as with 8 coats we struggled to find somewhere tidy to put them away.it didnt spoil our time away at all though and we would definitely recommend the cottage and we hope to return when we are next in the area.

We all had a great stay at Broadleaf Lodge the property was just as described. Very comfortable with more than enough room for 5 adults and a dog, in a fantastic setting, lovely walks in the local woods and we were blessed with good weather as well. Visited nearby Lincoln and the cathedral I believe the rooftop tour is well worth doing and Belton. Jane was available if needed but otherwise very discreet. Would definitely return.

We all had a fantastic stay at Broadleaf Lodge. The house is lovely, clean and comfortable, and very well located, being only a 15minute drive from Lincoln. Although the hosts live next door, they were never intrusive but were very helpful when needed. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and we hope to return again sometime in the future. Lots of lovely memories made!

Lovely property with large nice garden. Quiet rural location yet conveniently local to village. Well looked after by owner who is helpful and friendly. Well worth a visit.

We had a very enjoyable stay, during the hottest days of the year so far, in a very nice house which is generally as described with lots of outside space. There are some nice walks from the door and plenty of others just a short drive away, it is also handy for the park&ride into Lincoln. Although Jane and partner stay just the other side of the car port, they are very discrete but are there if you need them. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Broadleaf lodge started out as a dream for a 16 year old teenager who realized her dream some years later when she purchased the land and decapitated bungalow which was demolished and the site cleared before building this fabulous family home No expense spares on the quality of fixtures fittings which have stood the test of time since the house was available to hire from 2013. The guest book bears testament to the pleasure the house has given many families from all over Europe for reunions and even weddings. Although only 4 miles from Lincoln and the cathedral being visible from the house it is in a rural setting which feels a million miles away from the hustle and bussle of a busy city. The quality of this acommodation will satisfy the most discerning visitor and my wife and I have no hesitation in recommending this property, Jane and Ben are on hand to assist with any queries and are meticulous in the preparations and appear to have thought of everything you may need for your stay. We had a lovely and comfortable stay in Broadleaf Lodge. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owner was very friendly and the communication and assistance, before and during our stay, were perfect. We'd love to stay again.

Stunning property, friendly host and ideally located for a relaxing holiday. Plenty of space for everyone inside and out. Jane provides very comprehensive information about the property and area and was always available for any queries. Lincoln city centre and retail parks are only a short drive away. Its worth noting dogs arent allowed upstairs which we werent aware of from the listing information, Overall a fantastic place for a holiday.

This holiday cottage is excellent. Great location for a variety of walks and easy to get to Lincoln centre, the Cathedral, bomber command and Doddington Hall to name a few. Great for cycling too. The cottage itself is very comfortable and really clean. Maintained to a high standard with really good quality furnishings. Yes the owner lives next door but you wouldn't know it. Jane leaves you to get on with your holiday but on hand if you need anything. I was a bit reluctant to leave feedback but only because I don't want loads of people going there and stopping me being able to rebook!!

An absolutely fantastic house in a beautiful place, well worth a visit. We've been twice now and will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broadleaf Lodge. It is a beautiful house with spacious accommodation. Our Host Jane has thought of things for all age groups to make our stay special. Whether to stay on site or explore the area it is a place we would return to.

Lovely property, extremely comfortable and well maintained. Extremely peaceful location down a little lane.We loved sitting in the conservatory early evening watching all the birds on the huge front lawn.Very lucky with the weather which made a huge difference. Highly recommend.

The property was everything we could have wished for. Equipment and furnishings to a high standard and the enclosed rear garden was great for our dogs. Congratulations to Jane for such a great property. We loved it.

Excellent accommodation with plenty of room and great facilities. Very clean and well maintained. Broardleaf lodge is by far the best accommodation we have stopped in. Owner lives next door which was great if we needed anything, but also respected our privacy. Lots of walking right on the door step. Our dog loved playing on all of the private land the property has. Will be returning for our future holidays.

Our second visit to Broadleaf Lodge and once again a thoroughly enjoyable one with all of the facilities on offer it is very much a home from home and a superb base to explore Lincolnshire and its many attractions.

Wonderfully homely from the moment you step through the door. Adequately equipped, we wanted for nothing, and a magic fairy even restocked the log shed overnight. Close enough to Lincoln for a trip, but equally tucked down a county lane for peace and the country feel. A bike ride to Donnington Hall was just one of our adventures. So much to do in the area, with pubs and supermarkets close by.

Lovely, comfortable house in quiet location. Perfect for families. Nice secure garden for dogs and plenty of places local to take them, especially the woods down the lane. We all had a lovely stay. Can be tricky to find initially so recommend owners consider using whatthreewords rather than postcode.

An excellent property in a wonderful setting and so convenient for accessing the many attractions of Lincolnshire. Our only regret was that our stay was too short but we very much hope to return next year.

Broadleaf Lodge was a lovely home from home experience. It is set in a lovely area. Jane the owner is very friendly and helpful and our dogs loved exploring in the paddock. There was a heatwave whilst we were there so we didnt explore as much as we would have done. We ate out at Tequilas Mexican in Lincoln, also the Pyewipe and The Greek house at Burton on the water, all of which were very enjoyable.

Excellent location yet so close to an historic city. The house is of a high standard and well designed. The garden is ample room for a pet dog to run around, in addition the dog poo bins in the garden is a well thought thing. The house is designed in such a way to give the holiday guests a warm atmosphere and a pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Broadleaf Lodge. Plenty of room for 6 adults and two dogs Lovely spaces to spend time together but also to split off and relax if needed. The house was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed visiting much of the surrounding area with dog walks from the doorstep as well as country parks and places of interest within very short distance by car. We would recommend this house to anyone wanting a relaxing stay away from it all!

Property owner couldnt have been more helpful before and during our break. A large comfortable property with spacious front garden and ideal for dog owners with lots of walking right from the front door. Wellappointed throughout. Lincoln city centre just a short drive away and so many interesting places to visit close by too. Wont hesitate to return in the future.

Thoroughly recommend. The house was extremely clean and had ample space to relax and enjoy the lovely garden in the good weather. Dog friendly too with plenty of room for them to run about. Jane greeted us on arrival and even put our grocery delivery away that was delivered earlier in the day. Great location. This is one of the best houses we have stayed in throughout the last 21yrs of holidaying in the UK.

Wow, what a place, I want to live there! Nothing too much trouble, very clean and tea and coffee provided. We had a family gathering for one afternoon and relaxed for the rest of the week. Great location. Will return.

Absolutely beautiful, superb, high quality property in an incredibly peaceful and lush corner of the countryside. This was a familyfriends stay for a milestone birthday and each of us agreed it was the loveliest and most perfect holiday home we had ever stayed in. The rooms are tastefully decorated and every last detail has been considered. Take binoculars as you'll spot lots of birds on the lawn. The wonderful design of the house allows maximum to enter and we enjoyed sunshine in the mornings on the balcony then in the private garden area in the afternoon. Although there are plenty of attractions close by Brunsby equine charity a particular hit but we found the house was so perfectly suited to our needs, we were loathe to wander too far even the 7 and 11 year old preferred to stay there! Host Jane is amazing generous, thoughtful, friendly and extremely accommodating. A place we wish to return to again and again and will live long in our memories. A real oasis of calm and astonishingly, the photo's do not do it justice thank you Jane for a truly lovely week.

Wonderful lodge is all done in a very high standard , everything you need is there. In a lovely location,perfect for walking. Jane is very welcoming and helpful nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend Broadleaf Lodge.

Lovely accommodation. Lovely location down quiet lane surrounded by countryside. Walks from the door. Everything you need in the property. Beds really comfortable, kitchen fully equipped. Our young dog enjoyed the gardens and the property is dog friendly. Was able to close all doors to the hallway at night so she couldnt roam the downstairs without supervision and the stair gate would have stopped a dog from going upstairs ours does not go upstairs at all The time went too quick. Would fully recommend. Many thanks to Jane who answered any queries we had. The electronic booklet about the property prior to our holiday was extremely useful.

We spent an absolutely fantastic time in the most wonderful of settings, the house was immaculate and had everything you would want in terms of kitchenware, bedding etc. The enclosed garden was wonderful for our two doggies and approx 15mins walk you will find a wonderful wood. If you are lucky enough to stay in this place no doubt you will love it as much as we did and will be rebooking next Spring.

The property is very spacious with all the equipment you need. The owners send a digital information pack out beforehand which is really good and very useful. It is only 5 miles outside of Lincoln but in really nice peaceful countryside. Our dog loved playing in the gardens enclosed smaller rear and open front. Dogs are not allowed upstairs ours usually sleeps upstairs at home, but he settled well and wasnt a problem. The owner who lives next door was very responsive if needed but otherwise after the initial meet and greet left us to enjoy our time. Apart from visiting Lincoln, we mostly visited National Trust properties. We drove to Sandilands beach one day which was just over an hour away. Thank you for a lovely stay, we would certainly recommend a stay here

Broadleaf Lodge deserves a 5. There is plenty of internal and external space to enjoy. Jane, the host, warmly welcomed us, with a cake, and introduced us to the property, should you have any questions of difficulties, which we didn't, Jane was on hand to answer them. There is plenty to see and do in the local area and we noted that many visitors, unsurprisingly return. We will be back.

Jane was a perfect host, several weeks before we were sent a very detailed , comprehensive welcome pack by e mail, which was very helpful and helped us with planning and preparing,and helped us with an easy arrival using the recommendations for the local coop and fish and chips which was a 10 minute drive in Saxilby. There was ilk I fridge and cake for our arrival which was so thoughtful. Jane is next door but left us to it and was on hand to help with any question. A lot is already there for you, like handsoap, herbs,oils,, Coffee machine & beans etc..its very well equipped. House is beautiful, peaceful and a pleasure driving up to it, in superb surroundings, and is much roomier than photos show, it has a lovely snug with large TV aswell as a conservatory, plenty of room for 4 adults and our dog.. Fire we used on cooler afternoons evenings is huge, cosy.. And really warms the place up.beddingand towels excellent quality. Great location with short drives to places of interest, and only 15 minutes into Lincoln. We had a fab week our dog loved the back garden which is very secure. My only thing to make it even more perfect would be larger dressing table mirrors and a large wall Mirror in the other double room too. Enjoy this stunning place and janes inspiring story

House and gardens where immuculate, well equipped and it was such a joy to spend the our holiday there everything was perfect for adults, children and dog. Hosts where amazing very friendly and helpful.
