Brow Wood Cabin Reviews

The property was lovely and clean, very cosy , we were there for a week and it was great. It was close enough to everything we had planned. We loved going down to the viewing area and just sitting with a cuppa in the evening. The only thing i can say that was a bit of a pain was the hot tub only because it went green and slimey quick, other than that everything was great! We ised the hot tub in the rain as it gets lovely and warm!
I booked this for me and my partner for his birthday but also for me as I needed an escape from reality! , and we absolutely loved it. Its not far from lovely areas to hike and local restaurants! We hiked up Aira Force and came back to use the hot tub, it was lovely. The cabin was as described and so comfortable and relaxing, not to mention the little hamper that was waiting for us! We are already discussing when we can next come back! Thanks again to Kate and the team x
Lovely accomodation. Everything as advertised. Kate was very welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely time
My partner and I had a lovely stay at Brow Wood cabin and would definitely recommend to others. We especially loved the heated floors, the great views from the viewing site and the feeling of accomplishment from warming the hot tub! Although we stayed in February, the cabin was warm and cosy. The location is a great base for walks around Ullswater Lake and visits to Penrith in the car. We would especially recommend The Secret Garden in Pooley Bridge for a scenic meal and a walk around the lake. Thanks for having us Kate & team, all the best Grace and Ben

What a Wonderful stay at Brow wood cabin! The facilities and cleanliness were impeccable. The lovely touch of neighbouring snacks, fresh milk, bath robes and a day worth of fire wood for the hot tub was lovely. The placement of the cabins was in a beautiful location. The grounds were spotless and full of nature. Not far from towns, shops or beautiful scenery locations. We loved every second of our stay and will defiantly be booking again! Thank you so much to Kate and the team for a smooth, enjoyable and perfect stay.
A beautiful little lodge with everything we needed for our weekend break! We will be back!!!
Lovely little cabin, it is rather smaller than we expected not much room especially with a dog. The cabin is lovely and clean and has a very comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom. The kitchen has all amenities which is very useful. It wasn't clear how to locate the bins they were down a walk way into the yard. I would recommend this place but I wouldn't bring a dog as there is not enough room especially for a bigger dog. Its also not ideal how the garden isnt enclosed so dogs are unable to run freely which ours really likes to do Ideal for a couple for a get away! Pubs not to far away and shops! Thanks
The cabin was such a pleasure to be in over the weekend, it was homely, warm and so comfortable, though the weather was stormy the cabin made up for it, being so close to Keswick which was beautiful too, it was a lovely mini break with so much to do in the local areas. The staff that visited on occasions when working on other cabins were friendly and helpful. We would recommend to anyone to visit and stay and look forward to planning our next visit. Thank you for the welcome gift, extra special and welcoming.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at this property, and we would definitely return. The only issue was that we got a little impatient waiting for the wood fired hot tub to get up to temperature, but it was worth it once we were in it! Check out the viewing area, it's stunning.
Brow Wood cabin was a fantastic place to stay. Ive been travelling to the Lakes for a few years and rarely stay in the same place twice however, I will definitely be staying here again. The cabin is a great size for me and my girlfriend and is clean, comfortable, and has everything we needed. The wood fired hot tub is a great idea and the instructions are pretty simple to follow and get it up to temperature.
Amazing place! Quiet, clean and well equipped. Thank you

The cabin is clean, modern and very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. I absolutely loved the bed and had the best nights sleep! The cabin can get warm quite quick so we turned the heating as low as it would go. We were looking for somewhere secluded so we could take our dog and this place was perfect, although there are 3 other cabins near by, we didn't see anyone and felt like it was just us there, which is what we wanted. We had a little walk around to the nearest village where there is a pub but it didnt open until 5pm on a Tuesday the day we went haha and 12 every other day. The village and pub are very picturesque. We drove into Pooley bridge which is only 10 minutes away and then Keswick the following day, which is only 20 minutes away, both great locations for walks, scenery, pubs and shops. It was our first time using a fire burning hot tub, we read the book which is very helpful and we managed to get the hot tub hot and ready in 2 hours and it remained hot for quite a long time which was great! Would highly recommend this cabin if you want an escape away.
The property was perfect, in a great location with stunning views! Thank you

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the Lake District. It was our first time using the sykes accommodation and visiting the area. It was just perfect, I was worried we might need utensils etc, but everything was provided. The accommodation was so lovely, comfortable and clean and had just about everything we needed for our stay. Will definitely be coming back next year!! Thank you for a fabulous stay
We stayed in Brow Wood cabin which looked beautifully maintained externally on the web site when we booked. However on arrival the two well maintained cabins were not our accommodation and Brow wood cabin was situated away from these two, and the surrounding ground did not match the photos. The cabin was overgrown with waist high thistles and grass obliterating the path leading to it. Also the viewing area which looked well maintained on the website was overgrown and difficult to get to but did offer a fabulous view. The accommodation was clean and comfortable although very small with no bedroom storage which for 7 nights was inadequate for us.
