Bryn Derw Holiday Cottage, Eglwysbach

Had a perfect 4 days at Bryn Drew, beautiful spacious house with everything you needed, lovely outside area and views you could sit and look at all day. Comfy beds and lovely rooms with a lovely homely feel about the place, couldnt fault anything, we will be back

We loved our stay, the house was amazing and the views even more amazing. I had elderly parents with me so the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was a bonus. A nice little food package was waiting for us on arrival which was a nice touch. All the beds were comfortable so we had a good nights sleep. The alpaca's were lovely, we all found ourselves talking to them when we was in the garden. You do need to drive everywhere as its at the top of a big hill so there is no walking to the pub or shops. Would we stay again or recommend if we was in North Wales, yes we would.

What a lovely property, everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable. All the facilities listed were first class. The welcome pack was greatly appreciated, as was the chance to feed the alpacas.

The property was excellent and extreamly spacious, and had a separate space for a dog. We were made to feel welcome. The Alpacas was a big hit, being given food to hand feed them. Internally to a high standard and the beds were very comfortable. A splendid view of the valley from the hot tub. We would definately consider returning. A big thank you to Delyth and David for making our holiday so good.

The house was lovely clean and tidy. Welcome basket with bread milk and other items were a nice touch. Delyth put up some Happy Birthday balloons which was also a nice touch. Great log burner and hot tub to enjoy. The view was amazing of the Conwy valley.... Would recommend xx

This is a absolute lovely cottage to stay at The views are amazing, the place is quality. The owners could not have been more helpful.we had a truly lovely weekend and will definitely be going back

The property was really good. Kids enjoyed the Game room and the Hot tub, The Bedding was very comfortable. It has amazing views and its really quiet like we wanted. Host was very nice and very helpful. We would definitely recommend this property for a stay.

Brilliant property that far exceeded our expectations. Beds were comfy, kids loved their own play room, the 2 ensuites were really appreciated and all accessible for the less able in the group. Owners were friendly and easy to get in touch with for any queries. Would highly recommend.

This property made our family holiday. Plenty of space to enjoy individual activities or join together for fun. The view from the hot tub is breath taking. The horses and alpacas were fantastic. The owner could not have been more kind or helpful. It is situated outside of the village up a steep hill and has broadband, although not a fast speed, it did what I needed it to do, download books. I would certainly return to the property and would recommend it to family and friends.

Lovely spacious cottage in great location. Will never get tired of that view. Very clean and comfortable and everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Most important thing for us was quiet and peaceful setting. Loved the hot tub, alpacas and horses. Del and David were very friendly and welcoming. It was our second visit and will definately be back at some point. Would highly recommend.

The house is nice and welcome basket was lovely. However the bath mat hadnt got a nonslip backing I got out of shower on Monday the mat went one way and I went the other, breaking several ribs and breaking my shoulder, ruining our holiday and will be suffering for the next few weeks.

The children loved the hot tub and would have spent all holiday in it if we had let them. Delyth, the owner brought food so the children could feed the alpacas which they really enjoyed.

Its our second time at Bryn Drew Cottage, it was another amazing week, its well equipped everything you need its perfect, welcome pack is a lovely gesture, the views are amazing, and feeding alpacas was an awesome experience thanks to delyth and David for everything.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and we were blown away when we arrived. We visited with our friends so there were 4 adults, 1 teen and 2 small children. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays, including a 40th, and walked into a giant 40th balloon and a welcome hamper on the dining table, as well as a ballon banner that spelled out 'Happy Birthday' across the conservatory. The consideration and thoughtfulness of Delyth and David were second to none. The grounds and view are just breathtaking and the house was spotless and stocked with every possible item that could be needed. We had so much to entertain us during the evenings thanks to all of the games that were provided in the games room. The view from the hottub was just incredible and we often got in before dawn so we could enjoy the beauty of the valley unfolding. We were delighted to see the alpaca that lived in the field near the house it was really magical. David popped up towards the end of the week, as we had been looking for a hoover and he had mistakenly locked it in the garage whilst at the cottage, he invited us and the children to visit the barn at their farm to feed the alpaca, which was really lovely. The kids got to properly meet and feed the alpaca and also met Ella and Shaun, the ponies. David was really patient and kind to the children, letting them have a look at, and sit on some of the farm vehicles in the barn. There are some lovely places to visit nearby, including Conwy Castle, which is stunning. We would definitely recommend staying at Bryn Derw Delyth and David are wonderful hosts and their visitor book is packed with messages of warm and sincere thanks for the wonderful stays had by previous guests many who have returned again and again. We will definitely be returning Bryn Derw is my new favourite place!

Absolutely amazing house in a location with amazing views. Very well cleaned and maintained. Loved sitting in the conservatory or hot tub and enjoying the views. Many thanks to Delyth and David especially for inviting us up to the barn to feed the animals it was really nice. 1010 would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay with you. The unfortunate water problems caused a slight inconvenience, with 6 people needing to shower etc, but we understand that was beyond your control, and you did try your best for us, supplying bottles of water for drinks etc. The hot tub is a great addition and the alpacas are wonderful. I would however warn potential clients of the 33 incline as it did prove difficult for our granddaughters little car to get up the hill. Fabulous stay and would definitely highly recommend

Felt like home the minute we walked in. Fantastic views whatever the weather and the hot tub is fabulous. Lovely to have direct access from the house to a field for our old dog to roam. All the family enjoyed feeding the Alpaccas. Well appointed bathrooms downstairs and ensuites in the upstairs bedrooms. Quality appliances in the kitchen so Sunday lunch for 8 was enjoyed by all and we managed to eat alfresco! Very special to have daily visits from the red kites and early morning call from the house martins. Owners quick to sort any queries,and thankyou for the lovely welcome basket and birthday banner. Highly recommended.

The house was amazing. The views were stunning,have stayed in many holiday cottages with Sykes and they have all been excellent but Bryn Derw has been perfect.We had good weather which helped but hoping to go back again and try the house in the winter I'm sure it will just as good.

Absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The cottage is beautiful and comfortable, and extremely clean, inside and out. The setting is beautiful and tranquil. Lots of birdspotting and beautiful sunrises. Very well positioned for exploring the beauty of north wales. Would definitely recommend.

My friends and I spent a lovely 3 days in this beautiful holiday home. The views were amazing and the Alpacas kept us amused all weekend. The owners went over and above to make our stay a success. They even put up birthday banners and left cards for the two ladies celebrating their birthdays. A welcoming basket with essentials including Prosecco was much appreciated. We would definitely look to return in the future.

Lovely property, good for large family or group of friends. Views from the property are fabulous and so many nice walks all within easy drive from the property. Would definitely recommend.

We can only echo the fabulous feedback from previous reviewers, this holiday cottage is one of the best that we have stayed in and a real home from home. Set in a beautiful rural location high up on a hillside with the lovely little village of Eglwysbach with its friendly pub the Bee Inn, and Bodnant gardens very close by. Betwsycoed, Conwy, and Llandudno are all within easy reach. Zip world velocity is a 40 minute drive away and well worth a visit for kids big and small. Many thanks to Delyth and David, this is one place we will definitely return to in the future.

We have just come home from a wonderful stay at Bryn Derw. A super house with wonderful views and easily accessible for my 92 year old mother. A well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and sun room, and very comfortable beds, in fact one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in. I'd also like to thank Delyth and David for the welcome gift of goodies which was most appreciated by all. We would definitely book again when next in Wales.

Absolutely amazing property with fantastic views over the countryside. The four bedrooms were very comfortable and bathrooms fabulous with very powerful showers. Living are and sun room also very comfortable and views were amazing. The property is next door to the owners farm and Del allowed us to feed her Alpacas who were just beautiful and so gentle. The hot tub looks over the valley and sitting in the garden is so quiet its like a little piece of paradise in Wales. It does sit at the top of a very steep hill but its totally worth it as the view and peace and quiet are outstanding. We cant recommend it enough.

We had a wonderful week here. The house is amazing and fully appointed for the 10 people who enjoyed the stay. The views are incredible, loved the hot tub, llamas and the outdoor area. Indoors was great with a large kitchen, lounge, dining room, 4 bathrooms and conservatory. Can't fault it and the time went far too fast. Thank you!

We had a fabulous week in this amazing property with our family including two small babies. It had absolutely everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean and really well maintained. The views are spectacular, the hot tub was great, sitting in there just looking at the countryside was so relaxing. The alpacas are great fun, our grandchildren loved watching and feeding them. The owners Del and David were extremely helpful, and left us a lovely welcome basket and a bottle of prosecco, great start to the holiday! We would love to come back and have already recommended the property to friends and family.

We had a wonderful week at Bryn Derw. The views are amazing. What a treat to eat breakfast outside contemplating the scenery, including the 6 gorgeous alpacas! I have remembered their names! I would not say I am a frequent user of hot tubs, but sitting in the tub with those views, with good friends was wonderful, especially while the men made tea! The house was warm and welcoming with a lovely welcome pack. Many thanks. The beds were so comfortable and there was everything you could need in the kitchen. There was lots of space and a super conservatory to take advantage of the views. The birdsong every morning and evening was a delight too. Perfect.
