Bwthyn Megan Reviews

Lovely cottage in quiet location, with a delightful garden. A minor issue with the TVs was sorted out very quickly by Fiona, our host. Very enjoyable stay in well equipped cottage.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Bwthyn Megan. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. One of the highlights was the garden. It is incredibly private, peaceful, and a lovely place to sit and unwind, whether enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink. Fiona and Pete were exceptional hostsfriendly, welcoming, and always happy to help if we needed anything, while also respecting our privacy throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality really made our holiday special. We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend Bwthyn Megan to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway. We will definitely be returning!

We had a lovely stay the cottage was warm and the real fire was fabulous the bedding was of great quality and the beds were very comfortably some of the pans could be updated but apart from that you have everything you need the hot tub was fabulous but would say the garden needs to be cut back and a bit of tidying at front garden , I would highly recommend it to family and friends it really relaxing and fiona and Peter we're helpful lovely stay cant wait to stay again no complaints very happy
Claire
Really lovely cottage, really comfortable and appreciated the personal touches and excellent friendly communication. Only feedback would be that the shower temperature is very variable so cool and then really hot so couldn't let the kids use it.
Michael
Lovely cottage that requires a few tweaks to make it a great cottage. On arrival we had no heating or hot water but this was resolved by the property owner. Some oven dishes and gin glasses were found to be dirty and a cupboard door was falling off. Rusty fire extinguisher in the kitchen window had expired. In the bathroom the Shower temperature fluctuates from hot to cold in use and the shower screen moves off the bath causing water to spray all over the floor and the toilet flush is really weak. Also worth noting that this cottage is quite remote with no shops, pubs, takeaways or restaurants in the local area
Lovely host, very thoughtful and attentive. Cottage is cosy and well looked after. Hot tub is a real bonus!
A last minute booking and wow what a great place. From the moment we walked through the door we felt relaxed. The house has everything that you need and the added bonus of the hot tub. We would highly recommend staying here as its so easy to get around the island. We will definitely be back.
This was our 3rd stay so that alone should be testament to this lovely, cosy, home from home cottage. Again there was everything you could want. The hot tub is just lovely, and the log burner was stocked with everything to get you started. The table had been laid for us also with crackers, and the cottage decorated for Christmas. We'll definitely be back again.

We had a great stay, loved the hot tub, very comfy beds, and lots to do in the area, us and our dog especially loved the beach nearby! Thanks for having us!
Absolutely beautiful and really comfortable. Will be back
If you are looking for a warm and cosy cottage to stay in then this is definitely the cottage for you. This was our second stay here and to say it was it was perfect would be selling it short. A fab location for exploring both Anglesey and North Wales, Bwthyn Megan is an amazing cottage with everything you need and more. Every effort has been made for you to enjoy your stay from the welcome treats when you arrive to logs for the fire to get you started. The cottage is immaculately clean, was decorated for christmas, and even the table was set with crackers for us. The hot tub was a lovely relaxing treat after a day exploring. If I could give 10 stars I would. Can not recommend highly enough, such a wonderful cottage to stay in.
Lovely, comfortable cottage, super comfy beds and sofa, great cosy wood burner and the new hot tub was amazing! Peaceful, very private, secure back garden, all in all a very enjoyable and relaxing break in wonderful Anglesey.

This property is really welcoming and fitted out to a good standard. All aspects of the house have been developed with the guests' needs in mind, from an abundance of DVDs provided, to games, reading materials, and even a badminton set. The village of Llangaffo is centrally located and only a short drive from many of the costal resorts around Angelsey and the supermarkets are only mostly a 10 minute drive. LLangaffo is a lovely small village, and the neighbouring locals are great and very friendly. The best aspect has got to be at the top of the street near the Post Office, where in an elevated position, one has a panoramic view of the whole Snowdon Mountain Range, golly it took my breath away every time I saw it, and also brought a tear to my eye, it is simply magnificent and one of the best views in 'the world' I would wager. Fiona the owner was very helpful when we had a couple of queries, and even offered help in locating the local GP when we became ill, offering also to pick up some grocery supplies etc. Nothing was too much trouble. We shall definitely be returning in the future, we loved it. Christine, Mark and Wilf dog Hall
We had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage. It's well equipped and cosy but with an excellent hot tub to relax in after busy days exploring Anglesey. The owner is very helpful and goes out of her way to help you have a great stay. The only thing that could have been better was the weather!
We have just returned from a great week at Bwthyn Megan, the property is an excellent location to explore the island of Anglesey. The cottage had everything we needed, it was well equipped and provided everything we needed for self catering. The cottage was very clean and hot tub checked daily. The bed was comfortable and garden great for the dogs. Fiona is an excellent host who is on stand by to help with any queries or concerns you may have. Thank you for the welcome pack when we arrived it was a lovely touch! We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a great relaxing week home from home. We will definitely be back!! Lovely week at Bwthyn Megan in May 24. The bed is extremely comfortable and the hot tub was perfect after a day out walking with the dog. Milk and wine on arrival were a very welcome addition too! Cold wine steaming hot tub guaranteed my happiness! Lovely owners. Highly recommended.

We had a very comfortable stay in a lovely quiet and rural location, excellently placed for a lot of the local attractions. We had everything we needed in the cottage, which was lovely and well arranged, with the advantage of a secluded garden proving a real suntrap. We managed a full itinerary of activities and places to visits with plenty more still to do on a return visit! Thank you very much!
Beautiful cosy cottage and very welcoming host .
Amanda
Lovely cosy cottage from which there is easy access by car to all parts of this lovely island. We found the cottage spacious for us two and our black lab. Lovely garden with hot tub and out door seating. Arrived to milk and goodies which was lovely and Tesco happily delivered to our door that evening. Very comfortable bed a pleasure to climb into each night and lovely hot shower in the bathroom. Only a couple of miles from the sands of Newborough beach and Forest where you may see red squirrels. Lots of walking routes if you enjoy that pursuit. Really is a lovely place to take a holiday.
Nicola
On arrival no instruction manual or welcom pack, had to call owner for WiFi and heating instruction. All sorted thankyou. No instructions in regard to the log burner in lounge area. Decor in the 2 reception rooms very drab. Garden secure for our dog so good. But again outdoors room for improvement, uninviting area for a hottub. Owner is very meticulous re hottub care,.The location is good as close to various beach locations.
Thanks Fiona for been very helpful from the start. We had a great stay. My friend and myself have been coming over to Anglesey for the past couple of years, just as a few days away and to beat the winter blues and also so my dog gets a little holiday too with lots of great walks. We loved the location of this property and really enjoyed our stay and we had the added bonus of the hot tub, although we only managed to use once due to us being out a lot. We will definitely be returning and are already looking at next year! Thanks again Fiona and family! Lisa, Lisa and Bailey
This was our second visit and certainly won't be our last! Love how cosy the cottage is. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is beautiful too, crisp cotton, always a win for me! The Hot Tub is kept spotlessly clean, the best we've had for the last 10 years. The area is quiet with stunning scenery just at the end of the road. Well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and a Tassimo machine for that morning coffee was a lovely touch too. It is looking a little tired in places but for me that just added to the charm. Looking forward to returning soon.
Darren
We had a wonderful time at the cottage and a lovely surprise treat for my mums birthday. When we arrived at least we could have a drink with the milk that the owners left and a bottle of wine. It had a warm and cosy log fire. Most comfy beds in any of the sykes cottages we've stayed. Fabulous hot tub to chill in that wasn't over looked. A quiet retreat. Ideal to explore the rest of Anglesey from. Would look at returning another time.
This holiday cottage was a perfect setting for our family break. Although it was a terraced property it felt very private and garden not overlooked at all. The log burner kept us so cosy and the hot tub well maintained. The bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable. The host was informative and on hand to answer a few questions we had on arrival.
What a fantastic gem of a cottage with everything you could want and more! Clean, tidy and cosy. Had a fab week over Christmas. Good base to explore and to come back to such a cosy place was the icing on the cake. Fantastic communication with the owners before and during our stay. Will most definitely be back.
Pauline
This cottage is oldie worldly it has everything you need and is cosy. The bed is very comfy and the furnishings are good quality. The village shop is very handy and the cottage is very near other areas of outstanding beauty.
The cottage was beautiful and located in a small village with a shop. The interior was a mix of authentic cottage with a lovely lounge with wood burner that we didn't use, another reception room with good size dining table and modern well equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms had a high standard of decor, with incredibly comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The garden was secluded with a back access gate and the hot tub was very much appreciated as were the very fluffy towels provided. There was plenty of road parking. We would definitely rebook this cottage for future time spent exploring North Wales.
We had a lovely week at Bwthyn Megan. The cottage is situated just a short drive from a beautiful beach. Theres a handy little shop at the top of the road too. There was everything we could need for a homely stay and the owners were very responsive and helpful. The hot tub was a lovely added luxury for us in the evenings. I dont think Ive ever stayed anywhere where all the neighbours and people in the shops and restaurants nearby have been quite so friendly! Would definitely recommend
We booked this cottage as a base for walking the southwest of the coastal path. ..It was perfect and the hot tub and super comfortable bed took away any aches from a long day's walking, a huge success to the start of our adventure!
We had an absolutely lovely week. The cottage was beautiful and we would definitely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
The cottage provided us with a cosy and comfortable get away. The weather was wet and windy which meant we really appreciated getting back to the warm cosiness of bwthyn Megan. The cottage is well equipped and we lacked nothing, clean and well kept a lovely place to holiday! Thank you!
A beautiful traditional Welsh cottage! Excellent communication from our hostess, nothing was too much trouble. Cottage exceptionally clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. Close to Newborough beach which is my favourite beach on Anglesey. Hopefully I will be back next time I visit the Island.
This was a lovely little cottage and we would highly recommend staying here. It was extremely comfortable, especially the bed in the master bedroom. It was cosy and had pretty much everything that you need for a stay. There were one or two very minor issues where there was slight damage but nothing problematic a cupboard door handle was broken for instance. The owner had forgotten we were arriving that day but the cottage was ready and clean and someone very quickly came to welcome us and set up the hot tub. Absolutely wonderful stay.
Thank you for a lovely stay. Great little property with good facilities. Enjoyed the hot tub as often as possible! Perfect for our half term getaway.
Sophie
What a wonderful homefromhome experience. It is clear that a great deal of effort goes into making your time at Bwythyn Megan both memorable and special. The hot tub is a real treat and my husband and I enjoyed sitting by the woodburner in the evenings reading and planning the next days adventure. Not far from Newborough, this is a super base from which to explore Anglesey with comfortable beds, everything you might need in the kitchen and excellent WiFi. Thank you Fiona for taking such good care of us!
