Campion Cottage Reviews

Our family stay was most enjoyable in this property which was in a beautiful location and had a spacious living area with very comfortable seating and a great TV. The kitchen was reasonably equipped but needed enough cutlery and crockery for a days worth of meals otherwise the dishwasher would be on 3 times a day! The beds were comfortable but there was no storage in the downstairs bedroom which made it awkward living out of suitcases. The property was very accessible for my wife in her wheelchair but could have done with seating and grab rails in the lovely walk in shower.

I tried to contact the owner upon arrival as the cottage was chilly and the main oven was not working but my 2 calls went to answerphone and my text was ignored also and never spoke to anyone at all. This was worrying as I could have had a more serious problem. We managed to work out the heating apart from the single bedroom which we could not get to work and reset the cooker the following day ourselves. The kitchen is very dark to cook in and the cooker lights are not working which does not help. It would be helpful to have a few extra place settings as no extra plates to set food out on. The description states WC in downstairs bathroom BUT the photos do not show this and of course there is no WC just wet room and sink. Overall the accommodation is good. The pub is right next door so that is handy and they will do a takeaway service aswell.

Lovely cottage, very remote, just a few other cottages and the Inn nearby. Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds but lacking in storage in some rooms also unfinished looking hanging spaces. Nice kitchen but only 7 of everything, plates, bowls, knives etc. This means you have to constantly wash up if youve not enough time to put the dishwasher on. Also, the mugs are tiny I would have brought my own if I had known. Overall a lovely cottage, plenty of parking and super quiet.
The house was very nice, plenty of space, open plan and bright and airy. Good parking and very well located for travelling around. Location is peaceful and very easy to find from Watchet roundabout on a39 just a 5 min drive. Although dog friendly garden is not enclosed or gated, horses are in the adjacent field and as semidetached garden is shared. The accommodation is very good, comfortable and lovely bid smart TV to chill with a bottle of something and watch a movie of an evening if you are not out and about. Dunster is about a 15 to 20 min drive depending on traffic great little fish and chip shop in Watchet. Pub next door is expensive and food average not really worth the money they charge. Lovely Italian in Minehead, top of the main drag just up past weatherspoons pub. Some lovely walks on the Mores if you drive up North Hill. If you take the moores road go to the end, there is a car park and some amazing views. Dunster is a must, magpies amongst you should visit The Crooked Window jewellery shop they have some beautiful jewellery for all budgets, we go every year here and manage to spend too much.. So overall great location, pub locally is not much cop, fish and chips are great In Watchet Dunster very handy and lovely walks to be had but it's not secure if you dog likes to wander..

Beautiful cottage with everything we needed and more. Beds were comfortable everything was clean and well thought out to make our stay perfect. Lovely outside area and the kids loved seeing the horses. Wish we were staying for longer but will definitely book again!

Really liked the setup, beds were comfy and had all we needed. Ideal for 2 couples with kids as all had a bed. Kitchen had all you need, just bring washing tablets for dishwasher and washing machine. Fire was amazing, so warm and cosy and table was perfect. Right next to the pub which is a good pub, but also drive to Watchet is easy and a lovely little town for a visit. If you want logs for fire be sure to order before arrival as we didnt have them first night as cut off is 4pm but so is check in at 4...
