Cornflower Cottage Reviews

Alison
We absolutely loved Cornflower cottage! We have stayed in BB every year for the last 12 years and this cottage is right up there as one if best we have stayed in. It was fab! Well be back!
Third time here. No response to request for a second set of keys, later found in a cupboard. Not as clean as before.
Louise
Lovely little village, walking distance to 2 pubs and central to local places of interest. The property was beautiful and cosy with a well equipped kitchen. Garden was a fantastic size and great to listen to the birds each morning. Only shame was the fire was not able to be used. Would stay again.
Jonathan
Really lovely property. Good amount of space and well equipped. We did a Christmas dinner and the range cooker was very useful. Great village close to a couple of nice pubs and Hive Beach.
Cornflour Cottage was a delightful place. The quality of the furnishings was very appealing. Highly recommended. Beautiful garden. Comfortable beds and a very welcoming environment.
Patrick
Lovely cottage right in the centre of the village with superb walks in the country & minutes to the sea Two good pubs with good meals steps away The garden is superb, a great place to relax & totally private.
This is our second stay at cornflower cottage. Absolutely stunning cottage very spacious decorated beautifully throughout love all the little touches makes it so homely, and I'm in love with the fire place, the garden is absolutely beautiful and so private, comfy beds and bedding has everything you need and more .It's a good base for us as it's only a 5 minute drive to West bay and the stunning coastal road passing west Belington, chesil right down to Portland is just round the corner and the beautiful Hive beach a 3 minute drive . My only negative is although very comfortable to sit in it's a struggle to get up from the sofas they could do with replacement. But we love it here and will stay again had a wonderful week didn't want to leave. Thankyou for sharing your beautiful picture postcard cottage nestled in the beautiful village of Burton bradstock STUNNING!
Cornflower cottage was beautiful inside and out. Cleanliness, comfort and plenty of room was our priority and cornflower cottage certainly met up with our expectations. The garden was beautifully maintained and very pretty. Parking wasn't an issue. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending.
We had a fabulous few days at Cornflower Cottage. We really appreciated how well equipped the cottage was, particularly the kitchen. We've been living through a renovation for the last year, so it was such a reprieve to be able to stay somewhere so beautifully finished! The location of the cottage is fantastic, an easy walk from Hive Beach and several pubs. We had a dog with us, and the cottage was well suited with tiled flooring downstairs, and an enclosed garden space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would be very happy to revisit, or recommend to others.
Property was lovely. Shower in wet room leaks badly all over the floor. The seal must be gone on shower glass. Not enough towels in property for a week stay.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. Decorated beautifully & well equipped could do with a hairdryer though The beds were very comfortable. We think the cleaning company is letting it down though..it needs a proper deep clean in the shower room and kitchen especially. It was very dusty too throughout. That being said, we loved our holiday and didnt want to leave. Thank you for letting us extend our stay an extra night. We would love to return in the future and Id definitely recommend the property.
Cosy comfortable and warm cottage in a beautiful picture postcard village. Facilities all there apart from a hairdryer which although not mentioned in the details have not visited anywhere before without one. Great walks to Hive cafe so close to two fab pubs. Will be back.
Beautiful cottage. Second stay there and looking forward to our next stay. Clean, comfortable and ideal location.

We enjoyed our stay and might return. However, the sofas in the lounge were dreadful! They really need to be replaced. We would have liked a few more items in the kitchen serving dishes, covered casserole dish and other oven proof dishes, serving spoons. There were only 5 mismatched wine glasses but 24 champagne flutes! The garden was delightful. The beds were very comfortable. The Sykes description describes the upstairs family bathroom as having a bath with hand held shower and a separate shower cubicle it doesnt have a separate shower cubicle.
Claire
Lovely comfortable cottage very well equipped possibly the best equipped cottage weve ever stayed in! Comfortable beds felt like a real home. Lovely garden. A few doors up from the anchor pub which has the best seafood. Right on the main road which, as the only way in and out of Burton Bradstock, is quite busy. Literally walk out of the door and have to be careful with the dog. But we got used to this and it wasnt too much of a problem. Parking opposite ,though not dedicated. Unfortunately the road was being resurfaced while we stayed there and they only worked during the night. This was very disturbing to us, but wont affect any future guests.
Stunning cottage! Just spent the week at cornflower cottage and had a lovely family holiday
Loved Cornflower Cottage, great location with some must do walks along the beach and the Three Horse shoes is well worth a visit or two. book Sunday lunch well in advance.Everything you will ever need in the kitchen, comfortable beds, the bath and shower were more than adequate and a nice garden. Only negative was the main road at the front can be very noisy and we would never use Sykes again after a bad experience with their customer service.
Deborah
Lovely property situated on a busy road in the village
Sophie
Beautiful cottage in a lovely village. The maintenance issues we had upstairs toilet, leaking roof were resolved with very little hassle so not a problem. We will definitely recommend the cottage to friends and family!
Stunning cottage. Very clean and comfortable. The only criticism we would have is that it was very cold on arrival day and the toilet upstairs was blocked from day one.
