Cunliffe House Reviews

We loved our stay at this beautiful house. We enjoyed the hot tub and the gorgeous garden too. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space. A lovely welcome hamper was waiting for us too. Would highly recommend.
Eileen
The accommodation is great, huge space, lovely outdoor facilities. The hot tub was well used by out younger members and the pool table by everyone. The downstairs toilet needs a lock or snib. I was disappointed not to get a reply to my text about the issue on Sunday morning, something in the loft. The message was still unread when we left on Monday. Otherwise all was good and if you're a fan of Emmerdale, it's a must.
What a perfect house
Amazing property and location. Photos of this property do not do it justice , it was immaculately clean and modern but felt homely and usable. Facilities were outstanding with everything we could ask for a great getaway with friends xxx
We have returned from a lovely week at Cunliffe House. What can I say, a lovely beautiful property with everything one needed for a much needed holiday. It was clean, comfy, bright and had some great amenities. Would definitely return if back in the area.

The house was lovely for a large party. The rooms were all comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. The gardens and views were wonderful. The location was peaceful and relaxing and close to many lovely and interesting places. The bedrooms and lounge and sun room were nicer than in the photographs. 4 bathrooms was a good bonus. The games room was a great extra space for relaxing and the hot tub was fab. The dining table was quite small and snug for 8 adults. We had a lovely stay and would definitely return for a family break.

Really good stay. The location is tucked out of the way off the main street and therefore very quiet. Kids and hubby loved the games room whilst i and the grandparents enjoyed the spacious room to relax in and chill out. Lots to do around to both outside and in for day trips, walks, etc for all ages. One tiny bit to note is there is a step up on the lower floor which i don't recall reading about sorry if is there, which caused a little problem for one of our guest. But this step is there to access to downstairs dining room, front room, and bedroom. cant really be avoided. On the plus side we did have a heating issue and from contact to fix this was less than 12 hours incld an overnight, and was very responsive and helpful. Thank you for a great stay and will certainly be on our property list for the four of us.

A group of six adults recently stayed here, and we all agreed it was one of the nicest rental houses we have been to. The property is stunning, beautifully appointed with everything provided you could wish for. The furnishings were top quality, and everything was spotless. The owner also left a few welcome basics, which was a nice touch. The setting was beautiful and even nicer as the sun was shining. Would highly recommend.
I booked this fabulous cottage for my 60th birthday celebration. It was super clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The bedding was crisp white cotton, the towels were fluffy and soft and everything we needed was provided. The hot tub was great, as was the games room. It was a short walk to the local pub which served a nice Sunday lunch. We only stayed 3 nights but would definitely return again.
Thank you for a great short break. The property is stunning and in a lovely quiet location. Just what we needed for a relaxing time with extended family. The welcome pack and amenities were great. Only missing a pizza cutter but everything else was very well stocked. The games room was great and well used after initial disappointment of the pool table not been as advertised although it was still well usable. A great area which would be brilliant opened up in the summer months. Hot tub was large and clean. Bedrooms were very spacious and decorated well. All in all a great place to spend a few days. We will definitely consider revisiting, maybe when the weather is more settled. Thank you.
The cottage is beautiful and in a wonderful location. We had a lovely stay with a group of friends and having lots of bathrooms was great. Would highly recommend this property
Fantastic weekend celebrating a 30th birthday, The cottage was immaculate, fantastic garden and games room , had so much fun, lovely walks and plenty of pubs nearby.

We had a comfortable stay, the house was clean and the location was lovely. There was a few minor issues, door and cupboard handles are loose with a few breaking off. No where to hang towels or put toiletries in one of the bathrooms, not enough kitchen cupboards to put groceries, there was only 2 wine glasses when we arrived but a call to Andy and he soon got us more , so thank you for this.

A lovely weeks stay, the games room was very popular as was the hot tub. Very quiet but not too far from supermarkets etc. Lovely 5 mile circular walk from the village taking in woods, rivers & canal. We ate at the Woolpack in the village once, if you want Sunday lunch you need to prebook. Already recommended it to friends & considering booking it again next year. Just need to update the details in the house as the heating controls had been moved, rang Hayley & she got back to me straight away.

Wow! That is what what our family of 7 adults a 7 year and 1 year old thought. Absolutely loved our week away, the hot tub and the bar were well used. Lovely walks around Esholt and a drink in the Woolpack afterwards. Kitchen cupboards well stocked, bedrooms plenty big enough, washing machine used, sun room was our quiet room! Spoke to Hayley with a small problem and within an hour she had sorted it Thankyou Hayley All in all Cunliffe House is perfect for a family getaway. Will definitely be returning.
Thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at Cunliffe House. All rooms are a good size and the whole place comfortably accommodated the 7 of us. Having a bathroom for each bedroom worked well. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outside space and gardens were good and the hot tub was relatively private whist having a lovely view. Didn't really use the games room but it was a good option to have. Would recommend.
We loved our stay and were sad to leave. We had a very busy week as there is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas. The house was lovely and clean with everything you could need whilst on holiday. My only suggestion would be a lamp in the sitting room would be good for soft lighting in the evening.
Wonderful house , stunning! ! Had a lovely stay , comfy beds , house had everything we needed, beautiful decor, hot tub and games room were used every day, would definitely stay here again

This is a fantastic property for eight people. With a little review of the kitchen cupboards and their contents, an extra fridge in the games room etc things would have been perfect but with our feedback, Hayley immediately ordered various items Id suggested I wish Id asked at the beginning of our day, if Ive known they would arrive the next day
Camilla
The stay was AMAZING, the house was perfect for our family trip. Great location and the house was comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful location with lovely outdoor garden and seating area. The games room is a great addition and the hot tub was clean and really warm. awe had a great welcome basket, with bread , cakes and snacks with a bottle of fiz in the fridge. We all had a great weekend . Thank you.
Christine
We had a lovely family holiday, house was very clean, everything we needed loved the welcome pack
Fantastic place for our family mini break with lots of hidden extras. We loved it. Would definitely recommend
Carole
Excellent property. Great touches with the china, towel warmers, quality linen, extra dishes, the views, the leisure shack including darts and pool, the hot tub, the BBQ, the amount of seating and especially the willingness to allow our local family members over for a visit. The only thing that would have made it perfect would be laundry detergent available as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the showers.
House is fabulous and was perfect for our weekend break. The area is so peaceful with the famous Woolpack a short walk away and a some great walks on the doorstep in the surrounding woodlands in Esholt. House was spotless, furnished to a high standard and had everything we needed including plenty of parking. The blokes in particular enjoyed the games annex. The beds were very comfortable with good quality bedding and towels and the little welcome pack was a lovely touch. We wished we had booked an extra night and will 100 book again 0

Superb location, quiet yet still near to all the shops and places of interest. The house is excellent , very well equipped and clean. A lovely welcome pack on arrival, hot tub was well used by our grandson. We will certainly visit again,
Louisa
Beautiful cottage. Great location. Lovely welcome hamper. Would definitely recommend you will have a great time! However, just a couple of things that could be better. Not enough wine glasses , tumblers, cups etc. We have stayed in numerous properties and often there are more plates, cups, glasses, cutlery etc than needed however there was 1 half pint glass and 3 wine glasses and not as much crockery and cutlery as would expect. This also meant the dishwasher was going on for very few items. No teapot but 4 cafetires. No plastic glasses for when in hot tub either. Also games room great but not really any useable darts. But these are such minor issues that are easily improved and its a great place, so if you book you wont be disappointed.
Great stay at Cunliffe House. The property and grounds were very clean on arrival and the welcome basket and goodies in the fridge were much appreciated. The games room was well used as we had a wet day. All beds were comfy and having plenty of seating areas was great with a large family group.

A lovely home with a wow factor! Very spacious, clean and the welcome pack was extremely generous and much appreciated! All beds were comfortable, lovely big sofas for relaxing evenings and good facilities throughout. Travel cot and high chair were available as requested and baby slept well always a bonus! The hot tub was popular. Good storage in the utility area for outdoor shoes etc. Lots of hot water and house was always warm. We moved a bedside lamp to the lounge for evening ambiance. We know the area well and visited this time for a family occasion in Guiseley we would all like to return to Cunliffe House in the future, it is lovely.
Lovely house amazing location we really enjoyed ourselves and have booked again for next year thanks
Had a great girls trip for 3 nights, lovely house very comfortable, and enjoyed the hot tub
Absolutely fantastic place, thank you for the starter pack. Everything was really clean, maybe suggest a little fridge in the games room and also more outside lighting around the hot tub area, but apart from that we would recommend your house and we will definitely come back
Everyone really enjoyed their stay. Brilliant amenities, games room and hot tub especially. We loved the location too, peaceful area with localbpub and walks, but also easy access to the nearest towns, Saltaire and Bingley. Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic few days with the family i. E. son, daughter in law and two teenagers. Lots of memories made. Just a few observations made as follows The teapot was cracked and leaking No hot water in the bath in upstairs bathroom A shower screen needed over downstairs bathroom to prevent flooding. A full length mirror would bt appreciated
The house is ideally situated to explore the area but also secluded enough to enjoy the peace of the countryside. Everything was clean and tidy and the welcome pack was above and beyond, we even had a bottle of prosseco to enjoy. We placed an online grocery order from Asda that arrived as promised with no issues, it was ideal for a large family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we reported that there was not enough wine glasses and they supplied some the same day, a very prompt and polite service
Nice & cosy property in a peaceful location. Being able to walk to the cricket club & the atmospheric Woolpack pub was a bonus, where we had a very good meal. A lovely welcome hamper was provided on arrival. Plenty of hot water and linen & towels provided were of very good quality. The kitchen was well equipped. Unfortunately our group was a little disappointed. There was food from previous guests left in the oven. Broken teapot in cupboard had leaked and left a brown tea stain in cupboard. We removed couple of beer bottles that had been left in games room. A broken leg on the lounge armchair & lounge suite was worn. Also a broken zip on the conservatory sofa. Soap container in master ensuite almost empty on arrival & dusty skirting boards in Master ensuite. Lack of wardrobes in some bedrooms. The outside table & chairs appeared not been cleaned for sometime & the fire pit table had ashes left in it. I contacted the owner re some of the issues. She apologised for the cleaner having overlooked some things & she offered to send someone up to address the outside issues but as it was our penultimate evening we declined. Some of the above would indicate that the cleaningmaintenance could be better. Weve previously stayed in other properties with Sykes.
We had a fantastic stay for our first family holiday in years at Cunliffe House. Totally relaxing environment and would definitely come back, we were a little disturbed by the banging and construction work going on next door but this can't be helped, and the gentleman that came to fetch the mower from the shed a couple of times was very friendly and respectful, especially when he asked if he was okay with the dog. The pool table is not like the one on the pictures which is a shame, but we spent plenty of time on it regardless, a real highlight! My only suggestion would be to have some form of barrier or gate on the drive, or where the outdoor seating area is, as this is not enclosed and we had to park our cars in a way to try and block it off as we had a dog with us we had a few people walk by the bottom of the drive with dogsrunners etc so this was something we had to be aware of. Although the listing says fully enclosed, unfortunately this is not true as our dog could easily get out if he chose, and there is a large space in the hedge that goes straight through to a six foot drop onto the roadpathway. So if you do have a dog that is likely to wander or is in anyway reactive, a lead is very necessary! This didn't take away from our stay though as it's still relatively private, and the whole house was lovely, decorated to a beautiful standard, and we genuinely felt like we were at home. We made use of the fire pitBBQ, went in the hot tub nearly every day, and had an all round fabulous time. We hope to be back soon!
We immediately fell in love with this gorgeous, welcoming house. It was clean, spacious, warm and comfortable and the lovely welcome pack on arrival was very much appreciated. The large hot tub and games room were well used by all family members and were a great fun addition to this property. The conservatory at the back of the house is a lovely quiet space and the outdoor area offers different places to sit and enjoy the lovely views. The quiet, scenic location was so peaceful and a 5 minute walk to the friendly village pub was a definite bonus. Would definitely recommend this house for a getaway and would love to return with the family again.
My friends and I had an amazing stay at this property. Everything was clean and fresh upon arrival and the pictures do not do the house justice in how large and well decorated it is! We came with a small dog who had the time of his life in the garden and relaxing by the well stocked fireplace. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the hot rib exceptionally large! We had such a great time, I would definitely look to book again. The owner was also really helpful in returning an item of lost property we didnt even realise wed left it there! Thank you so much for an amazing stay
