Elmwood, Port Isaac

Wonderful stay at this lovely house. Everything great! Lovely location not far from Polzeath, spotlessly clean & modern. Loved it. Looking forward to staying again. Great stay in Cornwall at this lovely holiday home. It had everything we needed for a family, and was such a lovely place to stay. Will be back again next year.

Absolutely loved our stay at Elmwood. Such a lovely house. It had everything we were looking for during our family holiday in Cornwall. Just a short drive to Rock and Polzeath but so lovely to come back to in the evenings, away from the hustle & bustle, with a peaceful garden overlooking fields. It was beautifully decorated, clean and well kept, with lovely touches of a coastal holiday home. We are already planning to return again soon.

What a great find in the heart of Cornwall. A gem of a cottage, plenty of space for our large family, some great walks and 2 lovely farm shops nearby. Really well thought out accomodation, clean and cosy, will be back next year for sure.

We loved our time at this lovely house. Perfect location for us, in a lovely tranquil village, just a 5 min drive from Polzeath and two great farm shops nearby. You can walk from the house to a little cove at Port Quin & onto the coastal path to Port Isaac if you are feeling energetic enough. We did it one day and was a great walk. A few comments mentioned in a previous review we read have obviously been rectified because we found it all to be perfect and everything looked as lovely as the photos on the website. The house was spotlessly clean, modern and with all the amenities we needed. We couldn't have been happier and we would highly recommend the place to anyone.

Having stayed in the property opposite on a previous holiday we knew the location would be perfect for exploring the places we love in Cornwall. The cottage was good but not excellent as there are a few things that could be done to improve it. better cleaning. Mould on shower screen seals especially the one in the main one bathroom lots of hairs on arrival in the bathroom which definitely were not ours multiple chips on furniture around the house from wear and tear but things like this make it feel less premium stained carpets stairs quite bad and furniture sofas clear instructions to regulate the heating as we found it impossible to turn it down or off. In the information pages the page about heatingwater is blank. not enough hot water for everyone to shower on the same day morning so we split it up 3 evening3 morning wouldve been handy to be able to boost the system to enable this to happen. Crockery is cheap Ikea stuff which although clean is badly marked with wear only one side tablelamp in one of the king bedded rooms and the room made up as a twin. we were fortunate to have a week of sunshine, however when the children wanted to watch TV, the sun made this difficult and curtains wouldve been useful. All of the above comments are meant to be constructive feedback which could easily be sorted out. Thank you.

Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home. It had all that we wanted and more it was cosy, clean and comfortable. We are very much looking forward to our return .

A well presented spacious house plenty of room for the 6 of us who stayed. Very clean and good amenities. Great for a base for exploring Cornwall.

Fantastic place to stay as a family.

Really lovely clean house. Very comfortable. Just one point temperature of water in shower needs regulating. Far too hot and difficult to adjust.

We had a fantastic stay at Elmwood. The house was modern, exceptionally clean, well presented, just as the photos show and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Beds comfortable with lovely linen. Elmwood is in a pretty hamlet within a short drive to all the lovely beaches and places we wanted to visit close by and reasonably priced in comparison to others in more central locations. We actually preferred coming back to the peacefulness after a busy day than being in the busier areas that we have stayed previously. There arent any shops within walking distance but a great farm shop with all the essentials you need a 5 minute drive away. We will definitely be booking again.

Beautifully presented property but has some irritating features. On our arrival no welcome pack . I appreciate the economic pressures we are living in but I think at least a pint of milk in the fridge would not break the bank . The microwave is very small and only 600w really inadequate. The crockery very basic Ikea therefore chipped plate and teapot should be replaced . Broken blind in one bedroom , blood stain on a duvet cover concealed under a throw . Bath towels small standard size . No information pack provided by the owner with basic info regarding local facilities, places of interest and bin recycling collectionregulations .I know this is not essential but we have always found this useful.

Lovely house. Curtains in bedrooms and lounge would have been nice.

Beautiful house ! ! Highly recommended this property it is so beautiful and the location is great near to polzeath. We have looked at staying again next year but the property is fully booked which shows it is very popular. We come to Cornwall 2 or 3 times a year and I can truly say this is the nicest property we have stayed in . Thanks again.

We had a fabulous stay at Elmwood thank you. It was clean and had everything we needed. We have a 'grown up' family now and are a group of 7 adults but there was plenty of room and we never felt on top of each other or cramped even on movie nights when we were all in the living room together. Elmwood is in a lovely private location with plenty of parking we had 3 cars and within easy reach of some fabulous days out. Thanks again.

No shaver points in bathrooms

Elmwood is a stunning and luxurious house, very modern and a pleasure to stay in. However, it does not have a conventional heating system and was ridiculously hot. Rooms were generally 26 to 28 degrees. There was no way to turn the heating down and it made sleeping difficult!
