Fawley Reviews

We arrived with our extended family to celebrate my 80th. birthday,I chose Fawley because it seemed to suit our needs, actually it exceeded what we expected. There was everything one could want to cater for eight people, it was very comfortable with room for everyone and the goody bag was excellent and generous.

Fawley is a very comfortable house in an excellent location. We had three generations with us and all enjoyed our stay. Only thing to be aware of for those less able is that one has to be fit to walk up the hills in lyme regis .
This is a lovely, well maintained property. The only negative is the lack of a larger freezer only has an ice box in one of the fridges. The property was very comfortable for 4 adults and one small dog. Very clean with a lovely, large kitchen. As it is at the top of the hill, we did have to drive to the beach each day for doggie walks going down was easy but the walk back was a killer for anyone with mobility issues. However, the beach is only half a mile away with some lovely coastal walks along the cliff tops. The weather was perfect for this time of year and the property was very tastefully decorated for Christmas which was a lovely touch. Even had some gifts under the tree on arrival
Extremely pleased with the property. The layout worked very well for all the family and dogs. Kitchen very well equipped, cosy lounge for all and spacious comfortable bedrooms although the downstairs bedroom has a small double bed. Good location to walk to harbour and town but be prepared for the walk back up the hill. Lovely eateries on seafront. Would visit again
Space and facilities wise the house offered everything we needed. It was very clean and tidy offered every bit we required. Kitchen, bath appeared refurbished, all 4 bedrooms had most of the functionality required. Kitchen also was good.
Spacious rooms suit groups, small garden is private enough to enjoy afternoon sun and tea on patio. Well equipped kitchen. Small points , pity main dining table only has benches not chairs, Chairs in lounge could be bigger and more comfy. Downstairs loo lock not working, simple bolt needed. Never did get bathroom shower to work properly from fixed nozzle. Otherwise really enjoyed break in very clean, comfortable house in great location for beach, harbour and high street.3 Carpark spaces real bonus. Steep slopes unavoidable in Lyme Regis but provide lovely views.
House was wonderful, really well equipped kitchen and comfortable in a great location. Only minor points like, a couple of the toilet seats were loose, could do with more tea towels and the mats in the hall need a non slip back on them.
Great place. We were able to park three cars Ford Focussized.

Fawley is a well presented, clean and comfortable property, and well equipped apart from that there was no freezer.
Overall we thought the property was clean but fell short of expectation on comfort. There was not enough loo roll to last the stay, the lack of black out blinds made sleeping difficult, the dishwasher was tiny for an 8 person house as was the freezer facility. Everything felt like it had been done to the minimum. I wasn't very impressed.

I wasnt going to respond to this but you have sent a couple of reminders. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property in an excellent location. However our stay was spoilt by the shower over the bath being out of action. We reported the leak and the maintenance man planned to seal what was the wrong area, we pointed out that the problem was actually a badly fitted bath requiring more than just sealant patching. It was causing water leakage into both the downstairs bedroom & kitchen dining area. We did not want to cause anymore damage so agreed we would just use the ensuite shower but wanted to keep use of the bath for our 2 year old grandson. We did expect that we would be suitably compensated for this but were offered an extra night in a property they were obviously having problems letting given the number of free weeks available and the large reductions of 300 they were making. I did expect that we would get a compensation offer at least equal to that but we only received a small offer which we decided to take as better than nothing. We were disappointed as we thought we were being helpful to the owners in trying to avoid greater problems in what is a great property for a holiday.
Wonderful house, ample parking for two large cars, both cars over 2 metres wide we let the passengers out on the drive then parked up. The house is at the top of a hill so its a very pleasant walk down to the Cobb or Town, quite a hill back up. But this is expected in Lyme Regus! we had our 90 year old mother in law with us and she managed the hill!. The house has all you need and quite homely no complaints. The micro wave is a little high as some other people have remarked but we found this no problem. Our only suggestion it would be advantageous to have a non slip mat in the main bath room bath for when taking a shower. To sum up we had a wonderful time there.
Lovely stay, loved the house and it was very well presented and clean. Amazing location, would definitely book again. The only thing I would say is the parking advertised was for 2 cars, this would need to be 2 small cars, we have 2 larger vehicles and only 1 would fit. Lots of residential parking near by and a large car park so this was not an issue for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Beautiful beach walks with the family. Relaxing in the property with everyone. Meandering around the lovely independent shops in Lyme. A beautiful property with plenty of room for everyone and spotlessly clean. Parking was great and so valuable. Thank you!

A lovely property. Very homely. Microwave positioned in a dangerous place. Safer on the counter. A comfortable chair overlooking the garden would be great. Armchair would be great in the lounge too. Would definitely recommend this property to a friend. Many thanks for a lovely stay .
Fantastic Fawley, what an amazing property. Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Nice and quiet location, ideal for walking into town, beach, harbour front and coastal path. The Town Mill Bakery do an excellent brunch. Hope to be back soon. Thanks to the owners for a well thought out and first class property.
