Garden House, Alnmouth

Extremely large property, a short 1520 minute walk into the lovely resort of Alnmouth. Also handy for other Northumberland Coastal attractions such as Bamburgh, Holy Island, Alnwick, Farne Islands and Warkworth. Very dog friendly with handy enclosed garden. Inside could do with some updating, but is still clean and tidy

Firstly, I honestly didnt want to leave. I fell completely in love with this house. Its huge and quirky and comfortable and surprisingly warm considering the size of every room. The garden is beautiful and I was sad it was too cold for us to use much. The proximity to the beach and coast walks is perfect, lovely views, peaceful despite being on a main road . The kitchen is well equipped, but for the number of people this house can accommodate, Id swop the 2 slice toaster for a 4 slice. There was milk and home made biscuits and dog treats on arrival, very welcome! The boot room is awesome! The lounge is just luxury. The upstairs layout had me and my husband in stitches, we regularly lost one another, but that only made us love this quirky house more. The beds are so comfortable, if a little on the small side, but we slept so well here. The only negative was trying to book it again and finding it fully booked up, but I wont stop trying. Two tips download the Merlin app as the birdlife is amazing. Also, wear your smart watch all the timeyour step count will be phenomenal just walking round the house!

We loved our month at the Garden House and were sad to leave. It is extremely spacious, very well equipped with thoughtful attention to detail and beautifully clean. The setting is private, mostly quiet and the surrounding area is stunning. We would happily recommend staying here if you are interested in exploring this area of Northumberland. A couple of suggestions would be to add a downstairs loo and to repaint the outside of the property but that didn't detract from our stay.

Perfect location excellent cleanliness much larger than expected. Quiet, public transport on the door step, great places to eat in Alnmouth, fantastic walks, scenery is beautiful. Would throughly recommend. A bit of updating showers , pillows, wouldnt go amiss although these things do not detract from the overall experience

A lovely peaceful stay, the house is of a very good size and is situated within very easy reach of several lovely beaches. Only 1 thing I think that could be improved is the freezer storage. The compartment on the fridge for frozen items is too small in my opinion for a self catering stay.

The property is huge, loads of room and character, space for all our family. Two huge tables meant we could use one for gamesjigsaws and still have room for eating at the other! Garden was enclosed and great for the dog. The house layout worked well for us and the location is lovely! Easy stroll down into Alnmouth and bus stop and train station close to the house makes moving around without the car simple too!

Great house well equipped and comfortable. Only tiny downside showers not very powerful, but good and hot. Boot room much appreciated for cleaning walking gear. Enough space for people to cook, sit and eat comfortably often the number of beds doesn't match this! Location great for joining coast path easy walk into Alnmouth or bit further Warkworth and less than ten minute walk to main line east coast railway station.

Garden house was in a perfect location with an easy scenic walk into Alnmouth. The house even though large was cosy with a relaxing ambience. The house was well equipped with everything you needed. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden.

Lovely comfortable very spacious house sympathetically decorated with original features in mind. A downstairs cloakroom would be very useful for such a large house and a better shower in the big bathroom.Good enclosed garden ideal for pets and nice sea views from the house. The exterior of the house badly needs attention to the paintwork but overall a stunning property.

Garden House is very large and spacious. ..perfect for a multi generational family holiday. Its close proximity to Alnmouth railway station was an unexpected bonus... it enabled our son to join us for the weekend and provided endless entertainment for our granddaughter who loved spotting the trains. The beach at Alnmouth was only a short walk away and the Boot room in the cottage proved very useful drying beach towels etc. The outside space was enclosed and safe for the dog and young children. The TV didn't have a Wi Fi connection, so we couldn't watch Netflix or listen to the radio, however there were a lot of jigsaws and books and a welcome pack of cards to keep us entertained.

This house was amazing everything we needed. Lots of space for a family of 5. In a great location. Very clean and nice and quiet. Having a little garden was great for our grandaughter. Lovely views from all the windows and Mrs Tulip was very helpful.

What a lovely big old house, spotlessly clean and and very well equipped. So much bigger than it looks on the picture. Garden was lovely and relaxing. Theres a lovely costal path walk into Alnmouth which takes around 25 mins to the beach and just 5 mins in the car to Alnwick. The Market Tavern and Lilburns in Alnwick were excellent for food, dont bother with the Sun Inn in Alnmouth, it wasnt good! Only thing i could ask for is a baby gate option, our nearly 2 year old loved the stairs and its a big house and shes fast lol!! Would highly recommend this house

Great place and within a short walk to the town and beach. Situated off a road with a bus stop outside and a train station close by. Lovely garden area , lots of parking. Spacious inside with excellent facilities. We loved the kitchen with the huge dining table. The bedrooms are spacious but the beds could be bigger and more comfortable. Some of the singles are only suitable for children and the doubles are small too. The outside at the front needs painting too. But overall an excellent place to stay and one we would return to

We had a wonderful stay at the Garden House. The area is beautiful and the cottage is so well positioned. After some amazing days out and some tasty Pub lunches, it was great to return to the Garden House to relax and recharge for the next day. Quiet, warm and comfortable, the perfect holiday, thank you. Highly recommended.

Just as described, clean, comfortable, very spacious and well equipped. A nice enclosed garden which was ideal for the dog, views to Estuary and Alnmouth from both the garden and house.

Once again weve had a fabulous week in the Garden House . Its everything you want , warm , clean , well stocked . We love it ! Its proximity to coastal and inland walks makes it perfect . Weve already booked to return . Thanks to Judith for being such a great hoast .

The second time we have stayed in the Garden House and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. The house is well equipped and very clean. Everything you need is there for you. Ideally situated just outside Alnmouth but with easy access to the whole area. You have loads of space to chill out and relax. Very, very good

We loved our stay at Garden House, The owner was very helpful with a query I had before we arrived. I feel sure that had we needed help whilst there we would have had the same help but they were very discreet and left us to our own devices. The house was very comfortable & spacious. Constant hot water, good reception wifi & excellent kitchen facilities. Approx 20 min walk into Alnmouth.

The property was clean and spacious. .beds comfortable...in an excellent location...although attached to the owners property still felt very private . Unfortunately our stay was spoiled by the fact that overnight road closure and repairs resurfacing the road and merges started on the Monday night directly outside the property resulted in 4 nights of restricted sleep..lights alarms from vehicles moving back and forward Jack hammers the lot. although not the owners fault they certainly would have been aware this was happening..had we been told would have cancelled and booked something else..this really impacted on me and my partner's enjoyment. The price we paid was not a small amount and for us all the holiday was completely ruined. Will not be returning I personally feel it was dishonest not to inform us as the owners would certainly have had advanced notice

We had a wonderful week at this cottage. It's absolutely huge and we found it very well equipped. It's set well back from the road along a long drive so there were no issues getting in and out off the main road and there was a pavement to get over onto a nice path to Alnmouth. We spotted a hedgehog, rabbits and even a deer during our stay! Really well placed for beaches at Alnmouth and Warkworth and we enjoyed visiting NT Wallington and Howick Gardens. Would definitely return, thank you for a lovely stay

We were immediately impressed by the spaciousness of the cottage and, over the week, by its location. Being on the X1820 bus route is a boon. All the equipment was in good working order with instructions available if needed. Even Henry was well looked after. The only minor niggle was that one or two of the storage spaces were a little dusty. Although we haven't reread the property description, it exceded our expections. Thanks fo making it avaiable and sorry we ran out of time to comment in the visitors book.

Lovely holiday home, lots of space for a big family! We were amazed about how big it was and pictures just dont do it justice. Ideal for our dog too with an enclosed garden and a boot room to sleep. Ideal location with a bus stop right outside the property that takes you into Alnmouth or surrounding areas. Just up the street to the left is a play area and another down by the beach which was also perfect for the younger children. Overall we wish we had stayed long!!

This is an extremely spacious and well equipped house in a great location five minutes walk from Alnmouth station. There is a nice garden and great views. Lovely walks and beaches nearby.

The property is in a beautiful setting with a lovely garden and drive up where you can park with ease. The entrance takes you into a huge living room through to a large dining room onto a big farmhouse style kitchen with table and chairs. There&39s a boot room off the kitchen with lots of space for all dog and walking related gear. The upstairs has 3 beautiful bedrooms that are very spacious and a bathroom big enough to dance round. The house is a good size for a family with children and grandparents...we loved it.

House was lovely, linen clean, kitchen very well turned out and the property with the secure garden was perfect for children 6, and 4 years and a dog. The whole place had an excellent feel good factor and was spacious and comfortable.

A fantastic property with plenty of space for all the adults and children . An incredibly comfortable place to stay with fabulous &39squashy&39 sofas and lovely beds. Liked the feeling of space from the high ceilings and the tasteful decoration. The enclosed garden was a fabulous place for the grandchildren to play and have fun safely. A brilliant base for all amenities and yet quiet and peaceful too. Won&39t hesitate to return, in fact have already booked up and will recommend to our friends.
