Goss Hall Reviews

Jonathan
The house was lovely and worked very for our party of 8. The extensive gardens were a bonus too. It was also great to be able to walk to the great pub in Ash from the house.
3 of the 4 guests found bed bugs in their bed and received bites across their backs legs and necks. The standard of cleanliness is questionable as this property requires the people staying to do the majority of cleaning, and putting away of dishes etc and stripping beds and tidying. It is not cleaned to a professional standard period.

What a very special place to celebrate an 80th birthday with family. We felt as if we were in a Jane Austen novel! The property is very spacious, very comfortable, warm, well equipped, and as it also operates as a b&b, each and every room has been beautifully furnished and decorated, and three rooms benefit from ensuites with the other two sharing a huge bathroom. We had a great time and loved having family dinners around the large dining room table, relaxing and reading in the living room, completing a 1000 piece puzzle together, enjoying the garden with pond and ducks, and it was a brilliant space for the kids to play hide & seek! The plot is shared with some working barns and another property although there was no disturbance whatsoever from them, and the views are undisturbed and beautiful out of the front of the house. The house is conveniently located to get to various coastal towns and we visited Margate, Deal, Botany Bay, Broadstairs and Wingham Wildlife Park whilst there. We will have fond memories for years to come and are now thinking of an excuse to return. We would highly recommend Goss Hall!

We stayed at the property as a group of 10 and the house was perfect for us for a big birthday celebration. It was clean and spacious with lovely rooms and perfect setting for walks in the countryside.

What a place! !! The house and grounds are beautiful. We honestly couldn't fault the place. The level of care and attention to all aspects was much appreciated.
Absolutely loved staying at Goss Hall. We were a party of 8 adults, 2 kids and one dog celebrating an 80th birthday. The house is stunning, each room large and comfortable, surrounded by beautiful, natural grounds. Loved arriving to see all the ducks sleeping around the lake and the donkeys in a neighbouring field. We cooked 3 meals together in the kitchen which was big enough to accommodate that. Relaxing on the decking area near the lake gave it a holiday feel we also very much enjoyed playing croquet and other games on the ample lawns. A visit to the local nature reserve was less than a 10 minute drive. The location really made the celebrations feel special.
We had a super stay at Goss Hall, and will definitely be coming back. The house and grounds were amazing, and the welcome pack in the kitchen, the magazines in the rooms and little toiletries in the bathrooms were all lovely extras. Maggie, the owner, was extremely helpful, answering any queries we had.

Lovely setting and a wonderful house a privilege to enjoy the beautiful decor and furnishings. As enthusiastic cooks, we were impressed by the wonderfully stocked kitchen and it was especially nice to find a few handy extras, as well as the generous welcome supplies. Our only criticism not enough loo rolls! By day 4 we were limited to using only two of the four bathrooms!
