Grant Cottage, Strontian

Had a lovely stay in this highland gem , every thing you need for a relaxing break. Perfect place for further afield travels or stay near by and enjoy all the area has to offer . Hot tub was a lovely bonus ! even especially in January!

This is lovely little cottage, within a very friendly community. Highly recommend the Bothy Bar for evening meals, just a 15min walk. The only thing we missed was a couple of pints glasses. One of best we have had the pleasure to stay in.

Very well equipped cosy cottage with an amazing range of cooking options! Very sturdy building which was a great comfort during Storm Ada! One suggestion it would have been helpful to have some power points in the bedroom.

My friend and myself had a fabulous time at Grant Cottage. Spotlessly clean throughout, maximum comfort and just a beautiful place to unwind. I have to say though, the photos do not do this place justice at all, I mean on the photos the place looks great and it was just what I was looking for but to get there and see all the little touches around the place to make it feel like home from home was so lovely and welcoming. The cottage has more than enough information about the surrounding area from where to get food to amazing things to do and see. You might struggle to leave this place to do anything though because it has everything you need and more. The hot tub was spotless and just perfect. We got the chance to meet one of the owners, Caroline, who we had a lovely chat with and found out about a good walk to do and a lovely place for a bacon roll. There was nothing I could fault about this piece of heaven. Everything was as described and much much more!! I would highly recommend Grant Cottage to anyone and everyone and I really hope I can make it back someday. The village the cottage is in is one of the friendliest places in Scotland. Everyone we met was lovely. I cant thank Adrian and Caroline enough for the 4 days of perfection we had and for making the place so beautiful and inviting. I really didnt want to leave.

Fabulous week at Grant Cottage,so very clean,beds really comfy. Everything you would need in a kitchen was there..garden was fully enclosed and felt very safe letting our dog wander about while we were in the hot tub!! Fabulous stay,just wish we knew about the Morrisons delivery service.

On approach to the property my heart sunk, the cottage itself looked like it could do with a lick of paint but it was the flower tubs full of dead weeds & the hanging rust rotten outside lanterns that put me off. First impressions count. However the inside was clean, very well equipped. Comfortable bed & well set up for families. Plenty of hot water. It was very nice. Great area, very peaceful. Just a suggestion to take away flower tubs if they are not going to be maintained, including a tidy of the fire pit area. The hot tub could do with being under a canopy so that it can be used when its bad weather, oh & please take down the rusty lanterns, not a good look. Saying that we have had a wonderful stay

Absolutely loved the cottage. Very peaceful location. Amazing walks straight from the property and within short driving distance to all the main locations. Would happily revisit!

Ideal base to explore the beautiful area. Cottage had everything we needed. The hot tub was a great bonus on a starry night. Our dog enjoyed the large secure garden. We will be back.

Grant Cottage was the perfect home from home for us and our dog Robb. It was spotless and very well kitted out. Comfortable seating and bed. Plenty of soft fluffy towels. The large garden really is fully enclosed and very dog friendly. Robb loved having a sniff around there as well as the many great dog walks nearby. We would highly recommend a stay at Grant Cottage for a relaxing holiday, peace and quiet guaranteed and also a great base for touring the area. Very friendly but unobtrusive owners. The only downside for us was that we only booked one week!!

We had a wonderful two weeks in Grant Cottage and the weather was pretty good too! A great base, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Both the inside and outside facilities, including the hot tub and seating areas meant we were able to enjoy some lovely weather in the daytime and evenings too. Thank you for an enjoyable and memorable stay.

Grant Cottage is a lovely cottage set in beautiful scenery. The cottage is well equipped and Caroline was very helpful with any questions we had. The village has a couple of good shops and restaurants. The stone baked pizza was a real hit! Lovely stay, cant wait to return!

We had a great time, the owners were really friendly but left us to enjoy our holiday. The cottage is very well equipped and had everything we needed. The local area is beautiful and has so many places to explore. We will definitely go back.

Thanks for a wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage. We loved the hot tub great for stargazing and had lots of clear nights to enjoy it! The outdoor veranda with roof is also good to enjoy being outside even if its raining. My mum broke her arm and it turned out to be a great place to rehabilitate and enjoy some gentle walks but so many great more adventurous options close by too. Hopefully well come back to enjoy these another time!

Stunning sleep 4 cottage in a peaceful setting. We had booked for 5 days and it was 5 days to remember. The accommodation was superb with everything that you could need. The cottage was perfect for our family. I cannot rate this lodge and the owners Caroline and Adrian highly enough. We phoned the Caroline to ask for something and they were there not even 5 minutes after the phone call. Very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a fab holiday even the weather was glorious

Wow ... fabulous place !!! Highly recommend it . Very private , its an extremely chilling holiday , In its own ground theres a great hot tub , lovely and warm in all weathers , theres a screen round it which makes it more private, fire pit with seating round makes it fun to sit and enjoy

We had a great stay at Grant Cottage, the super comfortable cottage was very clean and tidy. Only point of attention would be that the number of towels is a little for a family of five one baby Facilities are great! Super complete kitchen, washerdryer and of course the jacuzzi.

The fact that the double bed was comfortable and the surroundings were so quiet ,you get a good night sleep . This in my book is so important. You can deal with most things when you get a good nights sleep!! The only thing I would suggest is a bit more cutlery ,secure the shower screen and maybe a hand rail in the shower, that is me being picky. But fab place I would book again especially as dogs are allowed. Although you wouldn't know this as didn't smell of dog.

Quite and peaceful location that was good for the places we like to visit. Accommodation was clean, well equipped and a very comfortable.

Couldnt fault it ! Perfect place to unwind,enjoy the vast amounts of beautiful places to see and do or not do if you prefer! . Hot tub ,a definite bonus ,not something I would search for but lovely to have . Dont want to big up the area or the cottage too much ,I want to keep this little gem to myself ! Hosts were perfect,there to greet on arrival and then left well alone but we knew we could call on them if any problems. Would highly recommend this cottage.

A beautiful cottage set in woodland, has everything you need for a trip away, including a hot tub! ! Very easy to find and not far from lots of beautiful place to see. Caroline and Adrian are great hosts! We had a amazing time and cant wait to go back!

Fantastic we had the most amazing time at the cottage. Cosy and beautifully furnished. Had everything you needed for a relaxing trip away. Even down to the bath robes hanging at the front door ready for the hot tub, which was on 247 at a warm 38.5 deg. Set in a stunning location amongst trees, so peaceful. Lots of wildlife about too, the hens, geese and ducks were next door, the stag walking across the field in the morning. There are plenty of great walks nearby and stunning scenery. Caroline and Adrian, the property owners, were very helpful when it came to advice on the area and places to go and eat out at. Nothing was ever a bother. And you could get fresh eggs at the end of the drive. We would give our stay at Grant Cottage 1010

This place. Trust me, you will remember your time here for many years, for all the right reasons. Caroline and Adrian were fantastic also, very accommodating. This IS the cottage break you were looking for. It's a wonderful retreat, you will not be disappointed.

The best cottage weve ever stayed at! Staying at Grants Cottage for a week was a dream. The cottage was clean and the decor was lovely. The internet was great, no connection issues and the cottage was always cozy. Bed was very comfortable and we slept great each night like being at home! The cottage had everything you could think of there for you for and your stay extra linen, spices, blankets, cleaning products. When we first arrived it was lovely to walk into milk in the fridge, cups at the ready for a hot drink, and some Scottish shortbread! Very homely. The view of the stars on a clear night from the hot tub and the porch is breathtaking. And the location of the cottage is quiet and secluded, and you can hear the river bubbling when sitting outside. So relaxing! The owners were so accommodating and answered any questions we had. The information left inside the cottage and their suggestions pointed us towards some great places to eat and walks with stunning views. We were unlucky enough to have car issues the day before we left, and they were quick to help us out and allow us some extra time when leaving the next day. Can not thank them enough! Even though we didnt bring our dog, the cottage had blankets and cushions there for the dog to sit cozy with you on the porch. Could tell our little guy would have loved it here too. All in all a prefect holiday, in amazing accommodation in one of the most stunning parts of Scotland.
