Low Croft Reviews

Lovely cottage in a wonderful part of the world access to the beach easy walk to low Newton and the ship inn . Everything required for a great weekend
Low Croft cottage at North Farm Cottages in Embleton is a perfect getaway for peace, quiet and tranquillity. On arrival a very thoughtful welcome pack milk bread, butter, orange juice, biscuits and plenty of tea, coffee and sugar was available in the cottage, all quality products. A couple of maintenance issues regarding the showers but we left feedback to get that sorted. Lowcroft is a pet friendly cottage and I would be more than happy to come back with a dog they do need to be on lead around the other cottages as there is no fenced space next to the cottage. If youre not used to pets the slight eau de dog on one of the sofas and a few dog hairs around might be off putting. The bedrooms are comfortable, plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. The mattress covers make the beds a bit too hot. Being towards the end of season the carpets could do with a freshen up. The bathrooms are lovely but there is definitely a knack to flushing the toilets! The only downside is the height of the mirrors above the sinks perhaps one a little higher to the side or one on an arm that could be raised. The cottage is very cosy and warm with lots of thoughtful touches, games for the children, an airing cupboard for the coats, lots of utensils etc in the kitchen. Everything you could possibly think of is provided in the cottage. Washing up liquid, detergents, shower gel, hand wash etc The main reason we chose North Farm Cottages was for the private use of their lovely swimming pool, it is a real asset. It would be helpful if a notice was put in the changing areas to remind guests to leave both the pool and changing areas on time for the next guests use. We loved being close to the coast and a short walk to the village and appreciated the mown pathways across the fields. All in all the everything you could think of and more is provided in this cottage. We will be recommending North Farm Cottages to our friends and family the perfect place to relax and unwind.
A lovely property in a great location. The local team were very responsive to queries and made us feel very welcome.
Another amazing stay at North Farm Cottages.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need, well stocked with lots of extra touches. Swimming pool facilities were clean and of a high standard. Views of the coast and excellent walks right outside your door. Very dog and child friendly. Will definitely be visiting again for more exploring.
Great stay. Lovely low Croft cottage which was clean and well presented. Great using the pool. Loved the welcoming pack too. Ideal location with lovely walk to beach Had our Xmas dinner in the cottage too!
Unfortunately customer service by booking agent is terrible. I can only hope property owner understands just how bad.

Low Croft was a home from home holiday cottage. Very comfortable with everything you needed provided for you. Lovely village shop in the village just a short drive or walk away. The swimming pool on site was a firm favourite with the kids and the beach is within walking distance of the cottage. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

We loved our first stay at Northfarm Cottages. The accommodation was excellent, comfortable, well equiped and they had thought of everything including some children's toys. The location was great especially being able to walk across the fields and let the dog off the lead on the way to the coast. The pool was an added bonus and well organised so that each cottage had the pool to themselves. We will be back. Thanks to all the team involved
Everything at the cottage was excellent. Very well equipped and comfortable. Peaceful surroundings and excellent walks and views straight from the property However, the showers at the swimming pool were hit and miss for hot water provision.
Lowcroft is an exceptional cottage, has everything you would need for a weeks stay. The cottage is very homely, and the welcome hamper is a lovely touch. The swimming pool was a family favourite, something to look forward to each day. It was our first time at North Farm, but it won't be our last.

3rd stay here and also with family in Grey Croft. 2 power cuts with longest being more than 15 hours. No contact from the owners regarding our safety or asking if we required candles blankets etc they live on site as it was extremely cold. The children didn't not like it. The torch battery that was there did not work and we had no power in our phones left. Freezer food was discarded next day and additional had to be bought following day. As a family of 8 we dont eat out so freezer was well stocked. Disappointed at lack of care and interest from owners
Perfectly located property. Loved the swimming pool.

Great place, well appointed cottage. Facilities were fantastic we loved the pool and the play area for the kids. This was our second time which tells you all you need to know! Only downside is we dont understand why properties are still asking people to strip beds after the pandemic. A hotel would never ask for this and with 2 young children it isnt ideal with a 930 check out. Other than that, fabulous stay!
Excellent property really well equipped and lovely extra touches like breadbiscuitsmilkbutter. The cupboard of dog treats was such a nice extra too! Great location and lovely pool. Will definitely book again, thank you.

Lovely place to stay. Comfortable, fab pool, short walk from amazing beach
The cottage is perfectly located in stunning countryside surroundings with fantastic sea views. Exactly as described and everything we could possibly need was there for us. The swimming pool was a bonus. Already booked the return!

Lovely, well equipped, dog friendly cottage in a great location. Was larger than it looked on the photographs. Great to have the generous welcome pack. Beautiful beach about 25 mins walk through the fields. Lots of local attractions an easy drive away.
Hayley
Extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage in a wonderful location. Walks from the door to Low Newton and Dunstanburgh. Swimming pool a real luxury.
Sandra
Loved Low Croft for us warmth and being well equipped, and for its location. Great to have a footpath leading directly to the beach. And the swimming pool is superb and it is such a good idea and works really well to be able to book slots just for yourself and others with you in the cottage so that the pool us nit busy or crowded. Loved the whole experience of staying in Low Croft, as did all our party, including falling asleep to the sound of the sea breaking on the beach.
A perfect base for exploring this part of Northumberland.
Had a fantastic week at Low Croft cottage with our family. It is an amazing place to base yourself for exploring Northumberland. Would recommend it to all our friends and the addition of the pool is great for everyone. We will definitely be back.
We absolutely loved our stay at Low Croft. Waking up to see the sun reflecting on the sea was our daily treat, then the walk down to the beach on our private grass path. We loved the swimming pool. Everywhere on the complex was beautifully maintained and the cottage had everything we needed.
Lovely clean accomodation in a quiet well cared for complex
The cottage is in a lovely location and the pathway to the beach was kept well mown. It was a lovely walk among crops and wild flowers to a very nice beach with sand dunes for shelter on windier days. The indoor pool was very well maintained and a lovely temperature. We will definitely go back to North Farm Cottages.

Only 1 negative comment 'wished we had booked for longer' It was certainly luxury accommodation Highly highly recommend this place. We stayed in Lowcroft property
A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a beautiful location.

Fabulous swimming pool!
We enjoyed our holiday, the location of the property was excellent, enabling us to visit all we wanted to. We felt that the property was overpriced for what it was, maybe this was due to supply and demand given the Covid pandemic! 1185 for a week well 6 days given that you cannot check in until after 5pm and need to leave 1t 930. The lounge wouldn't comfortably accommodate 6 adults but as we were only 2 it was ok for us, just want to let people know if they were a party of 6 the lounge and seating wouldn't suffice. TV very small. Walk to the beach was over 10 mins and wouldn't be easy pushing a buggy. We felt the way the footpaths were kept neatly cut was great and gave a safe route to Embleton. It was lovely having allocated hourly time slots for the pool but unfortunately, one family that was in before us didn't come out on time which meant we lost 10 mins of our time. Such a shame people can't stick to the rules.
Would be worth listing how farhow long to the beach. For adults it's an easy walk but for toddlers it's a good walk and not ideal for pushchairs.
