A delightful two-storey cottage right on the edge of Padstow, one of the most iconic harbour towns in North Cornwall and a popular destination for seafood lovers everywhere. Enter via a porch entrance which is handy for coats and shoes. Featuring a homely lounge/diner, two versatile bedrooms and a small enclosed patio garden, this dog-friendly cottage is ideal for small families or groups of friends seeking a comfortable base from which to explore the Cornwall AONB. Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by similar properties, the cottage enjoys easy access to town and its surrounding coastline. The cottage’s characterful and cosy rooms are home to an array of contemporary furnishings, with modern conveniences scattered about and plenty to occupy guests of all ages. The lounge/diner is a welcoming place to relax, its tables served by the modern kitchen which sits next door. Upstairs, a family shower room is joined by a spacious double bedroom with countryside views; and a twin bedroom which can be converted to a double bedroom upon request. The views from the small enclosed patio garden at the rear of the property are outstanding, and best enjoyed best over a BBQ supper. Padstow’s famous working harbour (0.5 miles) is dotted with dog-friendly cafes and pubs serving the day’s catch, along with winding streets home to independent shops and galleries. Many wonderful beaches and coves are scattered across the Camel Estuary (1 mile) and beyond, with some reachable via the South West Coast Path. The Camel Trail takes cyclists to Bodmin (13 miles), while the remarkable Eden Project is 21 miles from the cottage.

Lowen Cottage is definitely a home away from home. It is super well equipped, very cosy and comfortable within easy reach of the main town of Padstow and beautiful views over the countryside and Camel estuary. Helga the owner is a lovely lady who gave us the warmest welcome. She showed us everything in the cottage and gave us some excellent recommendations of dog friendly places to visit and eat. We loved her friendly hands on approach - she could not have been more helpful and she fell in love with our little cocker spaniel. The cottage was lovely. It has every possible thing to make your stay comfortable. The location is perfect to explore Cornwalls beautiful countryside and exceptional beaches. It is a short walk into Padstow harbour with its many pubs , cafes and restaurants for every taste and many are dog friendly. Another plus is the owner Helga. She adores dogs. She made a proper fuss of our boy Chase. Also she has amazing knowledge of the best places to visit, beaches and dog friendly eateries. All in all. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lowen Cottage to all our friends and family.

Really lovely cottage in a quiet area of Padstow with great views and an easy walk down to the Harbour. Helga was very welcoming and the cottage came extremely well equipped and the bed was super comfy. Lots of lovely eating places, we especially liked The Golden Lion and Benâ??s Crib Box Cafe. We loved the access to the SW Coast path and the Camel Trail direct from Padstow. Highly recommend this cottage and wonâ??t hesitate to book again.

Helga has kitted out the cottage with everything you could ever need for a wonderful stay. The cottage is spotlessly clean and all facilities very modern. Lowen Cottage is a warm and welcoming property and a real home from home. perfect host and greeted us with a smile and made a fuss of our dog. She also left some very welcome treats for us. The property is very well equipped with everything you could need for a week away and more. It is in an excellent location, around a 10 minute walk into Padstow and within easy driving distance to other locations in North Cornwall. We would recommend this property to our friends and family and would book to stay again in the future.

Lowen Cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful town of Padstow and the surrounding areas. The cottage itself is kept in an immaculate condition by the super friendly owner who lives locally. She really does ensure the property is kept spotless and guests have everything they could ever need. The kitchen has every gadget and utensil you could ever need and the living room and bedroom both have smart TVs. Owner loves dogs and they are well catered for; she even provided doggie cup cakes for our four legged friends. Their owners are not forgotten and we too were spoiled with some nice welcome gifts. There is ample parking and a Tesco within walking distance. The cottage enjoys wonderful views to the rear with a nice set of patio table and chairs to relax in after the day's walks. We return regularly as it is such a wonderful property: highly recommended.

We have stayed in many 'cottages' over several decades and this one is by far away the cleanest. There is an extensive range of equipment making it suitable for adults, children, and dogs. There is everything you need for self-catering including washing, coffee/tea making, cleaning etc. It is a very homely property with extremely comfortable beds, stacks of games, videos etc for rainy days, full central heating and even a gas fire. We consider it great value for money, with parking and even a range of consumables left by the owner. It is just over half a mile easy walk to the harbour, pubs, shops, and restaurants, and is very quiet throughout the day and night with lovely views across fields. It also has a fully enclosed rear garden. For all these reasons and more, we have stayed at Lowen Cottage five times and highly recommend it.
