Manor Farm Reviews

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay in this peaceful and characterful property. We felt very comfortable and at home here and really didn't want to leave. The garden was a delight and totally enclosed for our small dog who seemed to love being there as much as we did. The owner also responded promptly to any query with absolute patience and consideration. We would love to stay here again.
From when we walked up the beautiful garden into the front door it felt like home from home. The owner Heather left flowers chocolates and wine for our arrival. Everything needed was there and more. Nice large kitchen to sit, eat and chat, lots of seating in the living room and very very comfortable beds. The bedrooms were spacious with excellent bathroom and shower facilities. The house is nicely decorated with lots of interesting features including many antiques. We will definitely be staying here again as soon as we are able to, Kevin and family of six.

What a lovely house, when we first arrived we walked into the garden which was perfect, large and enclosed for the dog and children which is exactly what we wanted, The house was old and charming inside, exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable and all amenities we needed seemed to be provided, we didn't need the owners for the week we were there, however I text Heather a couple of times and the response was very quick indeed so don't doubt if there was any issues they would have been sorted straight away. Lots of lovely village pubs closest about 45min walk but that didnt bother us as the village was nice and quiet, surrounded by lovely walks.
Absolutely amazing house! Loved all the quirky features and the garden was fab! We were so lucky with the weather...great location too!
Really lovely house & owners quick to respond when needed. Good location for day trips & great garden for the kids to play in. Only downside was no kitchen basics like olive oil tea coffee but otherwise a really great house which met the needs of our group of 10 perfectly.

Really nice place that fitted our needs in terms of space and location. Garden was lovely and bedrooms spacious.
This is the most beautiful house in a pretty village . It is lovingly furnished with period furniture and artefacts befitting its age . It was very comfortable both in the seating areas and the bedrooms . The bedding and curtains were luxurious and spotlessly clean . Our family of seven adults and four children had plenty of room to play and relax both inside and outside the house in the fabulous garden . The spotless kitchen was certainly well equipped and had everything you need to cook a meal for eleven people and we enjoyed the seating area in the garden while having our barbacue . If you appreciate an historical setting surrounded by period furnishings, then this is the house to stay in .The house is a credit to the hosts Heather and Kevin . The location is great for the coastal towns nearby and also the water park which is just down the road. The water park hosts the weekly Parkrun as well as water activities A most memorable time was had by all . Celia Gibson
Lovely house but not maintained, un hygienic kitchen , sink was dirty under edge of work top. Cracked fridge in the interior .Bird mess on all outside chairs. Did expect a detached house but found downstairs half rooms shared with other people.

Fantastic four night stay at Manor House over New Year. Bedding and beds were luxurious and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the open fire every night. The front of the home is picturesque with a huge garden. Close to nearly villages but far enough away to feel you are remote and relaxed away from the busy world. Drive five miles and you are back in the hustle and bustle of life. Would highly recommend and would definitely consider returning. Thank you
Overall we were very happy with the property and grounds which were ideal for our family get together. The only issues were the shower in the ensuit which I could not get to function and the oil cloth and mats on the fitchen table which were very sticky and needed a good clean.
Large comfortable house with large garden to keep the little ones entertained.
We had a fantastic holiday at Manor farm. There were 9 of us staying and there was plenty of space for us all, and the garden was perfect for three little ones running around and fully enclosed. Owners were brilliant, the oven broke on our first day and by the next day there was a new oven. They also helped us fill a paddling pool to keep our little ones cool. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Manor Farm was lovely, the property had great facilities, was very comfortable, was in a fantastic location and had a large outdoor space. Would definitely recommend this property.
Manor Farm has a lovely feel and it's garden is fabulous. There's plenty to do in the area and I'd recommend it unreservedly.
Perfect location and Heather was a lovely lady to deal with.
We had a fabulous time in this beautiful property and grounds. Lots of time spent at the nearby lake cycling, swimming and paddle boarding, then relaxing in the vast garden on an evening. We will definitely be back! Thank you
Manor Farm is a lovely, comfortable, and friendly house. An open fire in a cosy but spacious sitting room, a big country kitchen, and a fourposter bed. There was a nice surprise on arrival with a bottle of fizz, flowers, and more. The location is secluded and quiet and also very convenient for Scarborough about 15 mins in the car. There is also an easy walk of a mile to a couple of good pubs and a fish restaurant. We had a great time.

A lovely family cottage, with all the facilities needed for an enjoyable holiday. Kitchen well equipped with plenty of crockery and pans, dishwasher and washing machine. Comfy seating for everyone in the living room and the beds were very comfy. The house was always warm lots of hot water. A large child friendly garden at the front, with quiet walks nearby.

We stayed at Manor Farm Cottage for 5 nights and we will definitely be going back. The cottage is excellent and well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Heather the owner is an excellent host and is only too happy to help and assist in any way possible. Everything about the cottage is excellent especially the open fire in the living room, we had a roaring log fire most nights. I would highly recommend this cottage and rate it 1010.
Lovely house, clean throughout. Beds very comfortable. Garden lovely. Very quiet and beautiful area. Would definitely recommend.
We had a very enjoyable holiday at Manor Farm , the house was comfortable, well equipped and clean. The furnishing and antiques added to the interest, The garden is magical and Hutton Buscel is a very attractive village in a good position for visiting local attractions.
Our party of 10 ranged in age from nearly 2yrs to nearly 70yrs. We had an amazing time at the cottage, which was just big enough for us. It is in a very good location for plenty of places where all the family can go. The facilities were good, although the upstairs plumbing could do with a few tweaks. It was beautifully furnished and there was plenty of crockery, tableware and cooking utensils. The front garden was an absolute joy for the children in fact, for all of us, and we spent a full day in it halfway through the week just to give ourselves a rest from going out. Just down the road is a wonderful pub, The Valley Forge in West Ayton, which served good, hearty meals at really good prices. We took hundreds of photos between us and will have very happy holiday memories for years to come, thanks to this wonderful place.
Had a lovely 3 day New Years break with our family of 8 adults. My only criticism would be that the beds in the single room were not very comfortable, however the 3 doubles were lovely. We enjoyed the 2 open fires and used the 2 sacks of logs that we brought with us. Spent many hours sitting around the big dining room table playing games. There was a problem with the electric supply upstairs but the owner was helpful and very quickly resolved the problem . We would recommend this property.

The owner was extremely helpful ,let us in when we were locked out, gave us extra logs for the fire and left us a welcome box of biscuits . We had a wonderful Christmas break with our family which will be a precious memory for me .
