What a lovely house with spacious bedrooms and large hot tub. Was so nice being in the middle of the Welsh countryside with no noise or light pollution just the sound of birds and sheep. Enough for 10 people to sit round the table in the kitchen and enough space for everyone to sit comfy in the lounge. The view from the lounge is AMAZING! The owners responded to any questions we had via text in a timely manner. We had 2 dogs with us and were happy to let them roam the garden as secure. Would definitely recommend.
We were unhappy about the cooker, as all the indicators of temperature and position on the control knobs had worn off and we couldnt get the grill to work. The lighting in the kitchen was also poor adding to the confusion with the cooker. There was no door to the topmost attic bedroom and noise from all the downstairs rooms seemed to travel there. Otherwise the house was in a beautiful location and we loved it
Lovely and peaceful property which delivered in all areas for our stay. Celebrating a birthday meant it was easy for the 10 of us to get together in lovely peaceful countryside and home comforts. The gardens were relaxing as well as the hot tub. Felt safe and secure
We had the most fantastic stay at Nanthir House. The moment we arrived, we were struck by how remote the setting is surrounded by rolling hills, wildlife, and complete tranquillity. The house itself is spacious, spotless, and full of character, with plenty of room for everyone to relax without ever feeling on top of each other. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, making cooking together easy and enjoyable, and the cosy lounge with the woodburning stove became our favourite place to unwind in the evenings. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the tower room was a real highlight. The garden is huge and secure, perfect for children and dogs to run around safely. And the hot tub absolutely incredible. Sitting in warm bubbles, looking out over the valley even better under the stars felt like pure luxury. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the property, from games to local walk suggestions. If youre looking for a peaceful escape with stunning views, plenty of space, and a home that feels both comfortable and special, Nanthir House is perfect. Were already talking about when we can return! Thank you James!!
Myself and my family had the best stay at Nanthir House. Perfect for a family getaway. James was always a phone call away should we need anything, host wise we couldnt have asked for more! It was such a lovely touch to have the fire in the living room and the hot tub just a few steps away in this cold weather! I cannot recommend booking here enough and hopefully we will return back soon!
Great location and venue for a group or large family. Property was spotless when we arrived and well stocked with all of the essentials to self cater. Board games and badminton replaced the usual veg in front of the TV which was the intention. Hot tub under cover was great but lid too difficult to replace singlehanded as it needs some attention. Loads of parking space and if youre looking for a great place to eat out try Hiraeth in Llanidloes!
We had a lovely week here, the weather was great. The house is comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. There is loads of space for the grand kids to run around as well as the dogs. Its a good size if there are a big family. We met the owner who was lovely, asked us if there was anything he needed to do to improve things, there was a couple of things but nothing major, left him a note. It is in a lovely spot and very quiet. Well worth a visit.
Excellent location, good sized roomshouse, but house, furniture, fixtures and fittings tired.
Fantastic long weekend in an ideal location, just needed one trip to the nearest town for some firewood, otherwise we didnt need to use the car as lots of nice walks all local.
We just got back from a week's stay in the wonderful Nanthir House. With the sudden snow it could easily have been longer, and one of our party was forced to stay an extra night because of it she didn't mind too much. The house somehow managed to be cosy and warm even while it was 4 outside with snow on the ground even before we lit the log burner. Its a very peaceful , well equipped place with a hot rub in the snow and the milky way above being one of the highlights.
Beautiful house, my friends and I had a fantastic weekend here. Plenty of room for 10, everywhere very clean, beds comfy, everything you could ever need in the kitchen and the perfect location if you want to get away from it all. I would definately recommend.

Perfect place to get away. Peaceful break from the stresses of daily life. Walks close by and a short drive away from local town. The house was well equiped for 10 people with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We would be happy to go back and to recommend to others. The hot tub was a great bonus

The property was clean , comfortable and in an idyllic situation. First impression was that the outside area needed to be spruced up. Stunning views compensated for the initial concern. Red kites and swifts flying in blue sky! Sitting room very comfortable, could probably benefit from some additional side tables. Kitchen On the whole well equipped, excellent range cooker. Shortage of drinking glasses and dinner plates rather ancient. Beds comfortable with good linen. If staying for a week more coat hangers would be required. We would return if staying in the area again. James a pleasant host.

Fantastic property located in a beautiful part of the world. The views from the patiohot tub are stunning. The house easily accommodated all 8 of us and our German Shepherd,who loved the gardenvery secureand the walks.Owners were very helpful. Perfect getaway retreat

The property is lovely and the garden is fantastic the dogs really enjoyed it! The facilities and extras were great. The owner was very friendly and offered us ideas of walks in the area. The only negative was as our dogs were small they managed to escape under the gates but we blocked them off with things we found around the garden!!! Also a hose would be a benefit to clean the dogs down after a walk. Would book again

A lovely property set in a wonderful rural spot. Fantastic views down the valley, particularly from the lounge. Very spacious, beds comfortable and a very well stocked kitchen. Was perfect for our large party of adults and small people! Hot tub in a great place in the garden to enjoy the view, and the garden is perfect for children being fully fenced.

We were welcomed to Nanthir House by a warm cosy fire and loved it straight away. This special house is a wonderful base to explore the surrounding area or plenty of space to stay and enjoy enjoy the wonderful views from all the lovely rooms in a really peaceful location.Would be the perfect place to write a book. Nanthir had everything needed for a relaxing stay with comfortable beds and a large hot tub.The turret bedroom at the top was amazing! Thank you to James our host who was very friendly and available if needed and for recommending a visit to the Elan valley. Absolutely breathtaking! Would really love to stay at Nanthir again.
