The photos dont do this cottage justice, we were surprised how big it actually is. Such a beautiful property, tastefully furnished with every comfort, so warm and relaxing . We had a wonderful week and were blessed with gorgeous sunshine. So lovely spending time in the hot tub at the end of day after long scenic walks. We would highly recommend Orrinside, so peaceful with beautiful views.

Beautiful cottage with gorgeous views all round. Tastefully decorated throughout. Photos didnt do it justice. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Perfect location for us visiting relatives and seeing sights. Only downside washing machine broke on our first day. Someone did come out as soon as I messaged to look at it but said repair guy needed to fix it. Unfortunately that was the last we heard and no one came to fix it. Lot of washing up all week with 8 of us and only 2 tea towels. Other than that we all had a brilliant week.

Truly a beautiful and comfortable holiday home! The kitchen is extremely well supplied. Bathrooms and laundry facilities are a dream, updated, immaculately clean!! Bedrooms are cozy and quiet, hot tub super! Would come back and stay for a happy month! Owner Emma is a delightful and generous person. Wonderful!

Lovely cottage in a peaceful location. Very well maintained, clean and spacious property with a great sized garden and outdoor seating area with the bonus of a hottub! Perfect for a holiday and an ideal base to explore a lovely part of the world. Muir of Ord about a 10 minute walk and sufficient amenities for your stay.

The holiday property is fantastic and I dont think the listing does it justice. Its much larger and well appointed than we initially expected and were delighted when we arrived. The kitchen facilities were exceptional. I really liked all the art and the house felt like it had a soul. The hot tub in the listing is smaller than the one that is there and we didnt appreciate there were two separate big TVs which worked well in the evening with teenagers. I think the listing would benefit from a better sense of the scale of the place. Not sure if a plan or 3d walk through might help? We found the location is great for exploring the wider area. The distillery bar is really nice and we charged our electric car there for free! In terms of actual practical feedback, we didnt quite suss out how to make the hot tub water clear mid way through our stay, despite following the cleaning instructions and the lack of an external light made the experience a little darker than desired at night but these were very minor things. Our kids and older mother struggled a bit with opening the internal doors because of the stiffness of the knobs but again, not really an issue as it comes with the charm of the older house. Really splitting hairs to find anything wrong. An electric car charger would have been handy but we managed to charge elsewhere. We were sad to leave and would definitely consider coming back.

Lovely property, finished in style with good quality fittings, well laid out, perfect kitchen diner. Internet worked perfectly and all instructions clear, nice touch the decorations being up ready for Christmas. Perfect place to stay and explore the distillery and surrounding areas.

We had an amazing stay at Orrinside, lovely spacious well equipped cosy cottage, lovely views, we spotted the red kites. Hot tub and pizza oven were put to good use. Would definitely recommend and definitely visit again.

What a fantastic location and a fantastic house. So much room for everyone even if you were a party of 8. The road by the house was extremely quiet, we saw more runners than cars! And although the garden is not fully enclosed, we had no problems with letting our dogs loose as there's plenty of grass for them to enjoy and the road outside is not visible from the garden so no distractions. Peaceful and luxurious, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Thanks for a lovely stay. The house was spacious and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed using the pizza oven and bbq despite the cool weather. There is lots to do in the area. We enjoyed visiting the Black Isle as well as some local walks. Would love to return one day!

This is the 2nd time we have been to Orrinside and we had another lovely week and we will definitely return. Would recommend and it was like home from home. Our party of 7 ranged from 3 to 90. Our dog loved the garden and the our grandson loved the 'hotpot' hot tub. Thank you to Emma and the team

The house exceeded our expectations. Beautiful, spacious and well equipped. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise. We really enjoyed our stay.

What a lovely house, big, spacious rooms clean and full of everything you need, a real home from home. Although it was just 2 of us, it's certainly big enough for 8 and it still wouldn't feel crowded. Tastefully decorated with a Scottish charm. 2 log fires, 1 in the living room and kitchen for those cold winter evenings, a traditional Aga stove which was easy to use but for those not brave enough there's a ceramic hob and fan assisted oven. Pizza oven in the outside kitchen and the hot tub were just the icing on he cake. Contact with the owner was easy and she was very responsive when we had a question prior to arriving and during the stay. Round and about there are plenty of walks, amazing waterfalls, castles and historic places to visit. There's a co op which is well stocked 5 mins drive and supermarkets within 15 mins. Not sure if the pub was closed due to it being November but Inverness is 20 mins away and worth the visit. All in all we would highly recommend Orinside.

What an amazing house, so comfortable with everything and more you could ever need. The hot tub was so nice on a cool night, then going into the house to a nice warm fire. Emma kept in touch with us before & during our stay to make sure everything was OK, which was very nice. Would go back in a heartbeat and really didnt want to come home

The property was stunning, a lovely welcome basket provided for us by the owners was a lovely thought . Its the first property we have been to where the owners got in touch to see if we needed anything before we got there and during the stay

This is our second visit and it was just as good as we remembered it from last year! The property it so well equipped theres nothing that it doesnt have! Comfy beds and sofas and the outside sitting area, hot tub and pizza oven area are fantastic! Well be back!

We had a fabulous stay at Orrinside. We were already familiar with the area but it has everything surrounding and a great location for day trips. The house has everything you need and really homely. We used the pizza oven following the great instructions left in the house handbook. The hot tub is great and the facilities are all up to date and very accommodating. Beds are all nice and comfy with plenty space. Fantastic holiday was had by all!

A lovely home in a great location. The facilities were exactly as advertised and we found Orrinside to be a very well decorated and furnished, very comfortable home. Our host was proactive and thoughtful during our stay with helpful messages about the house and things to do in the area. We will return again!

Our stay at Orrinside in Muir of Ord was incredible. The house was in great shape upon arrival. It was much larger than expected which allowed the 8 of us to all have a very comfortable time. Bedrooms were large with cabinets allowing us to unpack our luggage for the 5 nights we stayed. The kitchen was spacious with a dishwasher, large fridge with water and ice dispenser. The three bathrooms were also large and lovely. We went on many walks as there were many walking trails within walking distance from the home. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The property was very well taken care of with a lovely yard in the back. The hot tub was perfect for a couple of our big traveling We would definitely come back if ever in the area. Clearly a very loved home. Thank you!

A lovely, charming, cottage wellsituated in a relatively central area of Scotland. The house itself is nice, very clean, with a well equipped and goodsized kitchen. The bedrooms were of a good size with comfortable beds, and all of the bathrooms were nice and modern. Outside, the hot tub and pizzaoven are nice extras to have, both of which we made use of! Muir of Ord is a small village surrounded by lots beautiful areas of nature, locally and within an hour drive. Highlights include The Cairngorms Loch Morlich is a must visit!, Bad Girl Bakery in Muir of Ord, and Rosemarkie beach. We are amazed at the variety Scotland has to offer and we barely managed to scratch the surface in the week we had. This cottage in Muir of Ord provided a great base to go exploring from and we cant wait to return in the future!

Wonderful stay at orinside couldnt fault it . lots of walks on the doorstep and interesting thing to do near by.if I did have to raise a suggestion a tumble drier would be useful other than that 10 out of 10

We couldnt have asked for better to spend our Christmas vacation. Orrinside is just beautiful, specious, well equipped with lovely decorations up for Christmas. Some fabulous nods to the distillery next door too. We enjoyed cosy nights in with the the log fires burning and even enjoyed the hot tub under the canopy whilst watching the snow fall. The bedrooms were vey tastefully decorated and all 3 bathrooms were spotlessly clean with underfloor heating and towels, robes, slippers and soap available for us all. Communication with Emma was 2nd to none and nothing too much trouble, giving hints and tips of where to go and even giving us advice on cooking Christmas dinner in the Aga and had she even put Christmas crockery there for us to use. I wouldnt hesitate on staying at Orrinside again next time we are up and will be highly recommending it to everyone!! Thank you from us all for a fabulous stay xxx

Orrinside was a beautiful house with all the amenities you could wish for. We had a relaxing time sitting in front of the fire or enjoying the hot tub. There was a smart TV with Netflix etc as well for the rainiercolder days. The bed was comfortable and the huge bathrooms were all beautiful with underfloor heating. There are lots of reminders around too that this house once belonged to the Distillery too. The Xmas decorations were a nice personal touch, as was the robes, slippers, soaps and welcome pack. The aga was amazing to cook on, I used it a lot. The grounds were very nest and well tended. All in all it was a very nice holiday experience. The Owner was very helpful and easily contactable. Thanks again, we had a lovely holiday experience and I'm sure we will be back again!

Host was excellent pre visit introducing herself via whattsapp and answering any questions we had for her. She arranged a birthday cake and card for my wife, alongside what Im guessing was the usual welcome pack. The property is large and comfy and has some great features like the hot tub, an Aga and the wood burners in both living rooms. The kitchen was where we spent the most time as the Aga was a novelty for us and I now really want to own one one day! The house is a great place to explore the surrounding area, would definitely recommend and would visit again in a heartbeat. Thanks for having us, Ben & family with 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

The cottage was stunning. Gorgeously decorated and very well equipped everything was to such a high standard. We would have been proud and fortunate to have called it our own! We made full use of the hot tub, pizza oven and BBQ which were all great additions to a lovely cottage. Our party consisted of 4 adults and two collie dogs and there was plenty of space for us all, inside and out the garden was great for the dogs. The cottage is ideally located to use as a base for exploring the local area. Emma was so helpful with guidance and suggestions for places to visit and to eat. Our problem now is how do we find another cottage as good as Orrinside for next year!!

What an amazing property, beautifully presented and with the most well equipped kitchen weve ever had in a holiday property which makes life so much easier! We were lucky with the weather and managed to have breakfast or lunch outside on the decking most days. The location is stunning and peaceful but not too far from anywhere which allowed us to explore different parts of the area, Fortrose, Rosemarkie, Strathpeffer, Beauly etc. as well as fitting in a few games of golf. The bbq and pizza oven are a great addition as is the hot tub after a long day. Would definitely recommend Orrinside to friends and family and will hopefully be back for another stay. Emma was a great host too.

Arriving at Orrinside we were greeted with an immaculately presented house with all the white goods you would expect plus more kitchen equipment than we usually get. It made cooking a dream. The bedrooms are all very tastefully decorated and the beds are really comfortable. Outside is the pizza oven and BBQ which we made full use of. The best was definitely the hot tub, which after a long walk was a welcome sight. Emma is an excellent host with lots of information on arrival as well as ideas for things to do. I would highly recommend this property.

Orrinside is one of the best properties we have stayed in, and communication with the owner Emma is second to none. We wouldnt have thought it possible, but the property is even more stunning in person. The views over the barley fields every morning is amazing, especially when the wind is blowing. Such a peaceful location, yet only a short drive to Inverness, Strathpeffer and Beauly. Whether you want a chilled break doing nothing but relaxing in the hot tub, and going for local walks or venturing further out to visit the west coast, Orrinside is the number one choice. We will definitely be back!
