Polurrian House Reviews

Nicola
We loved our stay at Polurrian House! We have stayed in Mullion many times but never expanded our stay into Cury, we will definetly be back! the location is perfect, the house itself very spacious perfect when you are bringing kidos. We liked the one bedroom upstairs with the living space as i travelled with my family and parents so it was nice we had our seperate areas to relax we werent ontop of each other. The hot tub was a nice touch with a beautiful view, very sad to leave and go home. Lovely holiday

An excellent homeawayfromhome for family or friends! The location is brilliant, an easy drive to some of the most beautiful coves on the south Cornish coast.
Beautiful property, located within a small group of similar homes. Very well equipped, comfortable, clean and everything that you need for a holiday. Tucked away but within easy reach of beaches and all amenities. Would definitely recommend.

This was a lovely property for our family short break. We were left a very useful welcome pack which were delicious! We found the property very comfortable and we think the dogs loved it too. The views were wonderful with the property conveniently located close to Poldhu Cove & Church Cove ideal for the dogs to play! Very nice stay, thank you.
The house itself is absolutely stunning and in a perfect location. Everything we needed was in the property and it is obvious it is well thought out. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and issues with sewage affected our holiday in a big way. On entering the house, it was generally cleaned but there were large amounts of hair in multiple rooms, including large clumps which we had to remove ourselves. Both baths had plugs that didn't work so I was unable to bath my baby. The shower in the main bathroom didn't drain due to the amount of hair. This flooded the bathroom so it was unusable. I understand it was a bank holiday but there should be someone available to respond to my complaint and fix it. Once someone did eventually come to fix the issues I was able to bath my baby, however at the same time, the two upstairs toilets then blocked and raw sewage starting coming up into the bath whilst my baby was in it. We had to wash her off in the shower which was completely traumatising for her. I understand all properties have issues now and then but this was unacceptable and ruined the holiday experience. It is such a shame as the house itself is gorgeous. Talking to the neighbours, this seems to be an ongoing issue as someone had been out to the property for drainage issues the week before.
Beautiful property and location. Finished to a wonderful standard and extremely well equipped.
We stayed here for a family holiday to celebrate my sons 18th birthday. It was a beautiful house and it was a lovely surprise to find a welcome package with tea, coffee, scones, fudge and soft drink. The facilities are excellent and we had a wonderful time and will be looking to come back again soon.
What a lovely stay we had at Polurrian House for the week! Visiting with me was my husband, two children, our dog, my Mum, brother, his fianc and their dog. The house is lovely, so well equipped with everything you wantneed and so spacious! The little welcome pack of scones, jam and clotted cream was especially welcomed! Parking was super easy with us using the allocated parking space number 3 and the space behind thatin front of the garage. Everyone we sawspoke to was lovely and very friendly. The only improvement we would suggest is to the mattress in the upstairs bedroom, this was used by my brother and his fianc who found it far too soft and due to this very difficult to sleep on. We did raise an issue with the outside downstairs lights at the beginning of the week as they were not working and we changed the light bulb as it would have been nice to turn these on when using the hot tub at night but got no reply so that might want looking at also. We would 100 hundred per cent book and come back to stay at Polurrian House, my husband and I have already spoke about it!

Lovely house and views and very clean. Very quiet and tranquil Contrary to some reports we found the neighbours very pleasant. Good location for exploring the area. The bed could do with a topper as the springs could be felt through the mattress on the kingsize bed. It was nice to have provisions to make a cup of tea on our arrival but the milk was two days out of date!! All in all we had a lovely holiday with great weather. Will definitely return.

House looks great

Nice property part from the beds being slightly soft. We read about the neighbours being problematic but never expected to be verbally abused within 10 minutes of arriving at the location. I have a stoma which can be a struggle to lift awkward things and paying the amount we did parking to unload of the car infront of the property was the sensible thing to do and safe for me due to the medical condition. About 5 minutes later the owners of the house at the end arrived back on bikes and just laid in to us, passive aggressive comments, snide, nasty and abusive. To the point of taking pictures of our car parked near the house we rented not blocking anyone. The second day the were difficult with our guests about parking and then difficult with another group staying at another one of the properties. I highly rate the property and location but would sadly never recommend anyone to stay as the very angry resentful neighbours will ruin it.
Polurrian House is in a stunning location. The accommodation was comfortable and the house was very well equipped. We particularly liked the Neff ovens and large american style Neff fridgefreezer. The parking situation was far better than some of the previous reviews had suggested. We parked 3 cars and there was still space in the visitor parking area. We loved the hot tub which had stunning views. We had one maintenance issue, a blocked shower drain which was quickly resolved.

We had a lovely stay here such a clean and warm home, with everything we needed supplied and a very well equipped kitchen. A real bonus is how quiet the location is, with no passing traffic. I wouldnt hesitate to return. The only minor downside for us is that the hot tub is placed behind shrubbery, meaning you dont get to enjoy the wonderful view from the hot tub. Secondly one of the neighbours was quite unpleasant to me within minutes of my arrival, to complain about how I parked our car, despite following the guidance provided in the house information pack about using the space between the allocated parking and the garage. we had a wonderful holiday overall and would not hesitate to return.
We all had a well needed and fantastic stay in this beautiful property, peace and quiet, comfortable beds, lovely open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, great hot tub. The garden is not entirely enclosed and would have been good to know that it's not private from adjoining neighbouring properties, our rescue dogs don't like strangers. Great base for exploring incredible parts of Cornwall.

Clean and tidy on arrival, plenty of facilities available to use. Fantastic location and views and near to all tourist locations on The Lizard. Had a fantastic holiday. Thank You

Had the most amazing week in this beautiful house and cannot wait to book it again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Polurrian for a week in September 23. Lovely comfortable barn conversion with good facilities and comfy double beds with quality bed linen. The 2 single beds were not really suitable or comfortable enough for adults fine for children I expect. Super quiet area with friendly neighbor as long as you park correctly
We had a lovely stay at Polurrian House. The house was perfect, very spacious, clean and comfortable. We were blessed with good weather which enabled us to discover the Lizard Peninsula. We particular enjoyed Kynance Cove and Praa sands for the early morning walks with the dog.
Parking is an issue we couldnt get in to the garage
Joanna
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Polurrian house thank you! The facilities and cleanliness were excellent as was the large livingdining space and ample sleeping options for a group of 7. We loved the hot tub too with the beautiful garden view. Would highly recommend for a relaxing, rural stay.

An excellent property with all the home comforts. I cant think of anything negative to say. We got together as a family for my 60th birthday and the house was perfect to accommodate us all. Thanks
Had a fantastic week stay, There is absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay, accommodation very clean, spacious with everything we needed. Perfect location to explore Cornwall, have a large German Shepherd who loved the Garden. Found the neighbours Graham & Anne who are resident really friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here and definitely will be returning.

Very nice house, and cleaned immaculately. Lovely linens on the beds, big fluffy towels. Slept like babies. Kitchen is very well stocked , with lots of pans and pots, plates .etc Big dishwasher was a big help. Some of the doors stick but with a bit of a push they'll give. The garden and outside area is amazing. Nice outside furniture and a balcony that you can see the sea from. Hottub was lovely and toasty too. Sadly the neighbour did put a slight downer on the holiday. We had just got our bags in and he knocked in, asking us to move our cars ASAP, as it was blocking his garage. As you look at the property, it was the neighbour on the right. Also mentioned that we shouldn't be loud in the hottub, or up late with loud music Not Polurrian House owners fault, the property is lovely. One thing I will say is the fences in the back garden are very low. Our dog cleared them no problem. If you have an escapologist dog would advise long line. TV in living room is on a really good swivel bracket and can move to any position, and is 4k. Really glad I took my PS5 down with me. Very nice place. Would recommend.
Matthew
Beautiful property within easy reach of several entertainment facilities for the family. Lots of wonderful beaches. Only one tiny problem. Pillows on beds were foam. Much prefer feather pillows. Really impacted my sleep.
