Rhandir Hen, Aberystwyth

Rhandir Hen is a beautiful house set within the Welsh countryside. Its far enough away from civilisation to feel very peaceful and remote, yet close enough to Aberystwyth a 20minute drive to be practical. With five bedrooms, most of which have ensuite bathrooms, theres plenty of space to suit all. The generous living area has a dining table, comfy sofas, a tv and also a fireplace. The kitchen is wellequipped and theres a prep kitchen with a wet room, the wet room is handy for this places main draw in our view, the hot tub! Rhandir Hen is perfectly suited for a getaway with a larger family or with friends, and the hosts Patrick and Sue are both kind and communicative. We really enjoyed our stay, it's the perfect place to get out and explore or stay in and enjoy the house, and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend Rhandir Hen.

The cottage was among the best we've ever stayed in, with the quality being really high. The owners we helpful and friendly. Thank you the cottage itself was the highlight of our holiday. We didn't know the general area before visiting, and I would say it was a bit limited as a holiday destination. The area is very rural and agricultural which looks nice, but while there are lots of public rights of way they are mostly through sheep grazing, so not very inspiring to walk through, and very difficult with dogs. Lots of the roads are narrow and winding, and a small number of vehicles using them drive fast and seem quite impatient with slower moving tourists who don't know the roads. So driving aound can be slow and not much fun. You need to search out the best bits of coastlinebeech because while some is really nice, some can be steeply shelving boulderspebbles which are very difficult to walk on. Aberwystyth and Aberanon honey ice cream best in the world! are both worth a visit.

Rhandir Hen is a beautiful place to stay and the owner, Patrick, is very helpful and friendly. Scenery is amazing and late at night, after midnight when all lights are off it becomes a dark Sky spot and you can see thousands of stars. Fantastic sight. .Definitely recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful property with all the amenities you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, clean and tidy. Gorgeous surroundings and lots of places to visit within reasonable driving time. Lovely welcome pack from our wonderful hosts was nice touch.

The property was stunning! Everything from the cutlery, bedding and furniture was top of the range. Patrick and Susan havent cut corners with the presentation of the property. Very helpful owners, and always available if needed. We could only wish we all lived in a home like this, it was a true retreat, very cosy. The log burner was a hit as weather wasnt too great and always nice that they offer logs free of charge we found not many holiday retreats offered enough. Everything was spotless and the setting was perfect for a relaxing retreat with views from every bedroom! Even some of the adults enjoyed the swing set! We would definitely love to come again. Possibly the best property weve ever stayed in. We arrived in a forecasted storm, so Patrick & Susan kindly offered an earlier checkin so we arrived before it was dark. We were a family group of 10, and the ground floor bedroom & ensuite was perfect for elderly grandparents. Plenty of space for everyone and excellently equipped kitchen, everything we needed for full English, and Sunday roast. Very generous welcome hamper, and gorgeous toiletries in the bathrooms. The hot tub was an added bonus, and many chilly evenings were enjoyed in there. We will look forward to visiting again.

Passed all expectations , had a fabulous week , The house is full of most things you need , Patrick and Susan perfect hosts And always on hand if you need help Dont usually look to return to places as like to move about But would definitely go back here ! The enclosed garden and play area were ideally suited for the children and our dog, offering both space and peace of mind. The hot tub was generously sized and much enjoyed, while the property itself was presented immaculately throughout. The welcome pack was a thoughtful and very much appreciated addition. The location was excellent a tranquil countryside setting, yet within easy reach of the coast and local amenities. It offered the ideal balance of relaxation and convenience. I would have no hesitation in booking Rhandir Hen again and highly recommend it to others seeking a familyfriendly retreat!

Rhandir Hen was the perfect place for us to meet up with friends for a long weekend. The house was modern finished to a high standard, well equipped, and clean with plenty of space for 7 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs! The hot tub and play area were perfect to keep all ages entertained. The welcome goodies also went down a treat. Highly recommended!

This property was amazing and provided lots of happy memories that we will remember for a lifetime! Everything in the property had been finished to a high specification. We enjoyed being open plan downstairs so that we could all be together whether relaxing or cooking in the kitchen. Having so many bathrooms made life so much easier as there were never any queues! The hot tub, play area and BBQ were very popular and the scenery was beautiful.

Amazing house with such a warm welcome from the owners. The house was immaculate with everything we could possibly need. Lots of space for people to do their own thing but plenty of sofas for us all to get together and spend time as a group. Beautiful views to enjoy from the hot tub, which is maintained daily. The owners were so helpful and welcoming, and with everything finished to such a high standard, it was a perfect break. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing week at Rhandir Hen catching up with family. The house is absolutely stunning, very clean and exceeded our expectations. The photo's online make it look beautiful but it's even better in real life. It has everything you need and more for your holiday. The rooms are very spaciousand the open plan living space was great for cooking and socialising with everyone. We were very lucky with the weather so were able to spend a lot of time outdoors as well. The garden is enclosed so it was great for the dogs who loved exploring the outdoor space. Patrick and Susan left us an amazing welcome pack full of goodies for breakfast and treats which we all enjoyed. Patrick also popped in daily to check the hot tub and gave us tips on where to visit in the local area which we found really helpful.
