Roseburn, Pitlochry

This was our third time staying at Roseburn and it was as good as ever. Plenty of space for our group of ten friends, a fully equipped kitchen which was perfect for dining in but with a great choice of restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. Comfortable beds, lovely pillows, crisp white bedding. The Coop stores is just 2 minutes walk away with the high Street just two minutes further down the hill. We'd particularly recommend Mac and Pinch and Cafe Caluna for breakfast, coffee or lunch and Cidsin Indian restaurant was on the pricey side but amazing. Outings this visit included a quad bike experience with Nae Limits at Dunkeld, zip wire with Highland Fling at Killiecrankie, a fab show at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, cinema trip to Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy and the Hotbox Experience at the Taymouth Marina. All were a huge success. Aly and Russell were very responsive re any issues. A problem with the central heating was dealt with on the same day how on earth they got a British Gas engineer to turn up on the same day a Sunday! and fix the issue there and then was superb.

Roseburn is in a great location, a very easy stroll into Pitlochry town centre. Friendly welcome from the owners on arrival. The property is fantastic! Very clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. We all really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again.

Roseburn is exceptionally well laid out and fully equipped for larger groups like our 10 member family gathering. Situated a stones throw from the centre of Pitlochry, but well back from a quiet road, it would be difficult to find a better place from which to explore the town and surrounding area. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the living areas facilitate relaxed dining, mingling and conversation. Communications with the host were excellent, though little needed as everything was as perfect as it could be. We intended to return!

This was our third stay at Roseburn. The house is so comfortable and spacious, accommodating our large multigenerational family group with ease. It is clean, warm and wellequipped. Aly is a super host and meets you on arrival to help settle you in. The house has a lovely, quiet setting. It feels very private but is only a minute or so on foot from the village centre where there are lovely shops, cafes and restaurants. We're already talking about our next stay at Roseburn.

Fabulous house, very well equipped, spotless clean, perfect location. House owners were easily contactable and quickly responded to any queries.

The accommodation was simply beautiful, perfectly set out for a relaxing stay. We travelled with 10 persons all of different ages. Everybody was comfortable, had enough space to relax. We cooked in the house a lot too, very well stocked with everything we needed and a lovely dining area for family meals. The location was great, very close to the coop, a 3 minute walk into Pitlochry centre, yet the grounds of the property make it feel like you are tucked away. Perfect place.

We had a wonderful stay at Roseburn. This home accommodated our party of 8 perfectly! It is a very spacious and well appointed home, where our group could easily gather together, or find places for privacy. The kitchen is especially large, updated, and beautiful. The outdoor area is private, and we enjoyed the outdoor stove nightly. The property is conveniently located off of the main thoroughfare, and the coop is just a 3 minute walk. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay!

Lovely spacious location, very close to the centre of Pitlochry but with quiet gardens.

A lovely property which we returned to for a second year. Plenty space and very wellequipped. Ideal location in Pitlochry, close to main street yet quiet and tranquil as set back from the road. Great outdoor space front and back and we were treated to the sight of a red squirrel a couple of times. As many of our group were hill walkers, Pitlochry made an ideal base for getting to mountains to the west at Loch Tay and to the east at Glenshee.

A beautiful large house in central Pitlochry. The house was immaculate on arrival, a lovely welcome parcel of biscuits and prosecco. We were a group of 12 and had plenty of space for all of us. Easy walking distance of everything in Pitlochry. I think it is the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen!! Every possible appliance you could need. I would highly recommend this house, thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Lovely Victorian house, it give us impression to feel welcoming. Good spacious & more comfortable to staying at the house, it is good location to close the centre, golf course & hillwalking.

Roseburn was a brilliant well maintained and managed property. Set up with decent facility in the property. It catered well to our party 11 people. The property is well positioned and quiet as advertised a stones though from a good shop and easy to locate. Adequate parking for multiple vehicles as needed for the size of property. The owners were kind and understanding of our needs there to cycle and helped with a place to secure bikes with plenty of space. The owners also responded quickly to a small heating problem and responded themselves when it wasn't solved the first time. They were decent host that helped as needed and I would definitely recommend Roseburn.

An excellent large property. Spacious throughout. Extremely well equipped kitchen, the best weve experienced in a rental, though with so many drawers and cupboards it takes a bit of time to orientate and perhaps a little guide might be helpful. The large garden means you can always have a sunny spot, assuming the sun is out.

We had a wonderful week with our family at Roseburn. The house was perfect. The kitchen was wonderful and very well equipped. We enjoyed relaxing and playing games in the lounge and sitting eating our meals around the large dining table. The beds were extremely comfortable and the area was very quiet, so we slept very well indeed. The house was close to all amenities and we enjoyed walking from the house for everything. Particularly good having the Coop so close, which we used regularly! Everyone enjoyed it and I'd love to come back sometime. Many thanks.

Roseburn is so comfortable and has plenty of space for large groups. The house is very clean and warm. Its location is perfect...quiet street and only a very short walk to the main street. We are a large multigenerational family group and have stayed there twice. We booked the second trip as soon as we got home from the first! Aly is a great host she makes you feel very welcome. There are thoughtful touches...a welcome basket and plenty of ice in the freezer. Pitlochry is a vibrant village with lots to do in the surrounding area too.

The property was perfect for our Wedding Party. It was clean, had comfortable beds and enough bathrooms, and the kitchen was very well stocked. Once we had a contact telephone number for the owner we found her to be very helpful and accommodating and answered all our texts and calls immediately. Sykes Cottages, however, were very slow to respond and were unable or reluctant to contact the owner in order to answer our queries. The standard response was that the relevant team were on the case and would reply to us once they had an answer from the owner. The respose from Sykes Cottages to us enquiring as to when we could expect a reply was very curt and actually quite rude. When we asked for a telephone number for Sykes Cottages we were relucantly given one that actually didn't work and we were directed back to text messaging. I found the whole interaction with Sykes Cottages very frustrating and ultimately stressful.

Fantastic accommodation and location could not find anything negative to say about Roseburn . A well maintained and well equipped house cottage it was a perfect place for friends to hold there annual reunion thank you so much if possible I would score you 12 out of 10 Plymouth Girls

Roseburn is the perfect place to get together with family and enjoy much needed time away from work etc. Everything about this house is geared to ensure your time away is perfect. Seven bedroom5 full bathrooms and additional toilet, it provides a fabulous comfortable home away from home. The large kitchen attached to dining room means that everyone can eat, chat, drink or play board games and it is a room with a view. The house is minutes from Main Street, where again you will find everything you need. We LOVE Roseburn as this is our third year in a row coming and wont be our last. Special mention to Aly who is also at hand should you need her.

Such a lovely, welcoming house. Light and spacious, more than enough room for 9 of us. Incredibly well equipped kitchen and having 2 dishwashers was a real bonus. Beds were really comfortable, the heating was very effective we had good weather for late Mayearly June but it was still nippy in the early morning and evening but not indoors! Plenty of seating outside for a snack or to enjoy the sunshine. Incredibly well situated 2 minutes walk to a good sized supermarket and two minutes further to a wide selection of excellent coffee shops. We'd particularly recommend Cafe Calluna and Mac and Pinch. Had a fab takeaway from Chinese Village and a lovely meal out at the Moulin Inn. Lots to do in the area we visited Blair Castle, had a super afternoon doing a forest trail on a Segway at Blair Castle Caravan Park and did the Hotbox Experience at Taymouth Marina, amongst other things. Would definitely recommend Roseburn and Pitlochry. Aly and Russell can be proud of the accommodation they offer.

The house was comfortable, roomy, clean, well maintained, and well located. It suited the needs of our group of ten very well, and we had an enjoyable week.

Its a great house. Everything in the kitchen is plentiful. The rooms are also fine. Sufficient for 12 people. It is a bit tight for 14 people. There was a very nice welcome package and the reception was good. Also the contact for the holiday. We had e great time as a group.

We rented this villa for a multigenerational family get together. We were very comfortable in this beautiful house, which was situated close to the town centre shops and pubs. There was lots to do within walking distance including play parks. The Internet access was also very good. The house was very well equipped. We even used the bread maker for our pizza dough. The 2 dishwashers was ideal for such a large house.

Roseburn was a perfect location for a family Christmas. The house is comfortable and very well equipped and had everything we needed for a very lovely Christmas. The piano was a real bonus!

I booked Roseburn to celebrate my birthday with 6 other couples, what a great time we had. The house was perfect and had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equiped, the log burner in the living room was perfect especially with the minus temperatures outside! The location is great for walking in to the centre of Pitlochry and enjoy this beautiful town...my favourite place.

Pictures do not do the property justice honestly. As it was stunning and very comfortable and above all spacious. Everything we needed was at hand in the amazing kitchen!!!! The property was also very close to the village which we all loved which was central for everyones convenience. We are all wanting to be selfish and keep this property a secret!

We stayed as part of a group of 14 and everyone loved Roseburn. Check in and out very smooth, Russell and Ally both kind and helpful. Kitchen is fully stocked with cutlery,crockery, utensils and appliances, everything you need and some you'll rarely use. Bedooms were lovely. Living room larger than photo makes it look and was very comfy and cosy with log fire on. It's picture postcard in the evening outside as the outdoor lighting comes on as you enter the driveway. Location superb too, very short walk to main streets in Pitlochry. Go up in the other direction for another short walk takes you to Moulin village and Inn, which are both worth the walk. I would love to return to Roseburn, hopefully another family celebration comes soon.

House, furnishing and fittings all first rate. Owner very helpful and obliging re local eating places, attractions etc. Only downside was that our stay was in October which meant we could not enjoy the excellent garden and outdoor seating area.

Roseburn was the perfect place for we Australians to catch up with our Scottish cousins. It was spacious, it had very comfortable beds and was well equipped with more than enough crockery and cutlery. It even had two dishwashers which was very handy. The location was ideal being close to the centre of Pitlochry and we just happened to be there for the Highland Games which was spectacular. The only suggestion I can offer is to provide some of that lovely highland soap in the bathrooms. We would love to return one day.
