Sea Mist Reviews

Sea Mist is the perfect property in Polzeath for a family group. The listing is spot on, and the property is situated in a great place with off road parking. Everything was exceptional, from the welcome basket on arrival, to the great showers and fully equipped kitchen. We didnt use the hot tub as the weather wasnt great, so that will be for next time. The only drawback was the WiFi, but is manageable. Having board games and items for the beach was nice, including spare wetsuits. The enclosed garden was great for the dog. Thanks again for having us. Well definitely be back!

A lovely location for a family holiday, with fantastic views of Polzeath beach and a hot tub to unwind at the end of the day and watch the sun set over the bay. Hope to go again next year.
One of the single beds only had a summer duvet as opposed to the winter duvet, which was inadequate for the time of year. Fortunately we had throws with us that we used to add warmth. Suggest the temp on the hot tub is checked as on two occasions it was too cold to use, although this could be one of our group not having their glasses on when they set it
We had a lovely family holiday at sea mist. Great location for what we wanted which was mainly the beach but also not far to drive to other places. Would look at booking again
Well appointed and excellent location for Polzeath. Lovely kitchen and utility room, comfortable bedrooms and sitting room with wonderful views.

Great place to stay, easy access to the Polzeath.

Our second visit to Sea Mist the first one was in 2023 and we've already booked again for 2026. We love the house, and the location. It all works really well for us, with the two different generations being able to be independent, and not having to get into cars pretty much for the whole week other than a sightseeing trip to Port Isaac. Lots of walks and surfing and bodyboarding very happily looking forward to our next visit!
We returned for a 2nd year in May. This place is just right for my disabled husband and myself to bring the grandchildren. Plenty of open space, not far from the beach. Everything I needed to have a good week away without worrying about what to take extra to keep the children occupied. They love hot tub as well. Just great. Many thanks again. S&T
Hello. I have been coming to Polzeath for the last 42 year using various places to stay. I speak as I find. As my self and my husband are getting on a bit we decided to have a change round of property. Sea Mist was just what we were looking for. Great location, great aspect for the beach. The property was the cleanest we have ever had. The owners have definitely thought about what people need. There wasnt anything that catering for a large amount of people I couldnt find. The walk in wet room great for us oldies. I have had 3 hip replacement Grandchildren loved the hot tub. Flat grass area great for a few games of bowls. Outside shower a god send when coming off the beach in wet suits. Items in the bungalow are of good quality and practical. My list could go onThe only down side was our English weather!!! I definitely recommend this place. We hope to be back. Thank you to the owners. Sally and Tony

Fabulous house, garden and location. Great views. Really appreciated the outdoor shower. We had a lovely week. Our only concern was that the hot water temperature in the kitchen tap and in the shower in the nonbath bathroom were rather too hot. Even on the coldest setting the shower was too hot to put a young child under. We were all adults so could manage, however the kitchen tap was really tricky to get hot without almost scalding yourself. Perhaps this could be dialled down a bit?

We loved our stay. The property is really well designed and the layout worked well for the 8 of us coming back from the beach. Lovely to have toys, games and maps of the area. The hot tub was very well worth it! On arrival the property wasn't done justice by equipment being left outmops propped up at front of house, bag of bottles, garden hose partially unwound on back lawn, washing line up, peg basket broken and pegs scattered on lawn, dishwasher full. It would have been nice if the shrubs were lower to have full advantage of the wonderful view. These are however minor niggles as we didn't want to leave and hope to book again
Whilst we loved being at Sea Mist again there are a couple of things that need addressing 1. Scalding hot shower in shower room of extension. Temperature Regulator does not work. Unable to use. 2. In shower by entrance door there is no privacy film or blind on window and builders are working on property next door so no privacy when they are there.

The owner has put an awful lot of work, design and thought into the property all of which was much appreciated. It was better than either the listing or than it looks from the outside. It was really very comfortable, well equipped with super views of the sea and we would recommend it to anyone. Our problems were practical 1. The Sitting Room Tv remote did n't work as the batteries were flat. This was particularly challenging as we only discovered it after the shops has closed when we wanted to watch the Jubilee celebrations. 2. The boiling water tap was not working and did not even work properly after it was 'fixed'. We finally managed to find an old kettle which did not pour properly which is dangerous. 3. The washing machine was broken and John Bray did not have a spare one. The door refused to open trapping all my best holiday Jubilee party clothes! John Bray's engineers came but it all takes time when you would prefer to be having a break.
Excellent location, stunning views and great facilities. We loved it & hope to be back.
