Seastar Reviews

An absolutely wonderful stay we didnt want to leave! Seastar truly exceeded every expectation, and we cant recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the property felt like a genuine home from home, beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and furnished to an incredibly high standard throughout. The openplan kitchen and dining area is a dream, with a gorgeous central island that became the heart of our stay. Sliding back the bifold doors onto the patio and garden made for some lovely alfresco breakfasts, and the Sage coffee machine was a very welcome touch! The two separate living spaces were perfect for our group, the cosy snug with its board games and books, and the main sitting room with its plush sofas and wood burner, which we made very good use of on the cooler evenings. The bedrooms are simply stunning. The fourposter master suite felt genuinely luxurious, and every room had that calm, considered feel that made winding down each night an absolute pleasure. The hot tub in the enclosed garden was the perfect finishing touch after a long day exploring the coast sheer bliss! Locationwise, Seastar sits in a brilliant spot. The Pityme pub is just a short stroll away, and the beaches at Rock and Daymer Bay are only minutes by car. We walked across to Rock and caught the ferry over to Padstow for a wonderful evening dinner, an experience wed heartily recommend to anyone. Weve already started talking about coming back. An outstanding property in a truly special corner of Cornwall.
We stayed at Sea Star with our extended family totalling 8 adults. We loved the house finding it a great place to base our stay. We were more than impressed by the style, quality and cleanliness of the house showing that someone had taken great care in creating and maintaining it. There was ample room for 8 of us to eat around the table and to socialise in the cosy lounge. The snug room was also a great additional space for some of the group to watch sport or socialise separately when they wised to. All in all a great stay. We would definitely come back again. 5 out of 5 stars from us.
We had a lovely time at seastar, lovely rooms and devour, especially loved the childrens bunk beds, ideal location, beautiful family oriented house. The kitchen and main bathroom upstairs were a delight to use, the beds were very comfortable and we had a good stay A few minor issues during our stay such as the 2 ensuite bathrooms showers were very weak unlike the main bathroom which was very powerful, the shell night light in the kids room didnt work so we had to purchase our own night light, one of the lights in the nearby adult room also didnt work but that did not affect us. We notice a fair bit of black dog hair in the living room kitchen area which we had to hoover when we arrived as we have a young children who still crawl occasionally but none of these affected our opinion and we would gladly stay here again

What a fantastic property. The entire house is so well equipped, we had everything we needed and more. Spacious, bright, clean and with no expense spared down to the minute details. We loved it and will certainly be back! A short walk to the beach, and stones throw to the pub, what more could you need?
Lovely home with lots of comfort, style and facilities with very few issues . ....but if I was going to be picky just for feedback Some door handles were coming loose. The master bedroom shower is very weak, especially if others are showering. Instructions on how to Bluetooth connect to your fabulous B&O speakers would be lovely. The hut tub didn't bubble well in some areas. None of the above really impacted on our enjoyment though. We had a lovely stay.
Lovely property, everything we'd hoped for & we all had a fantastic holiday. We would definitely return to this property. Thankyou!

I have sent several emails and had no reply from The garden furniture was dangerous and not maintained I have taken photograpic evidence of repairs and one chair the metal went into my sons back when he sat on it on our first day which could have ruined the holiday We loved the house although the traffic noise and workmen on adjacent house did spoil our holiday
Overall a great space for large familyfriend groups but garden furniture needs replacing. Property next to road into Rock so can be noisy if windows left open at night.
That is our 4th stay and we look forward to coming back next year.

Seastar is a brilliant place to stay. 2 families 2 dogs enjoyed this wonderful house in a great location in Pityme near Rock. Beautifully furnished throughout and with all the amenities you would expect it really is a home from home. Theres the local pub, bakery and shops in walking distance and the beaches at Rock Daymer and Polzeath a few minutes drive away. Will return again.

The property itself is gorgeous, with all amenities required Can't fault that. Great location apart from the main road is quite busy and the building works next door aren't ideal. Few negative comments The cleanliness of the property was very below par and let it down it was very very dusty and dirty around the edges... Minor things you would expect for price tag washing up supplies any provided a jay cloth, washing liquid and 10 dishwasher tablets sponges or washing up brushes and antibac spray would be of use. There were no black bin bags even though it asks you to put rubbish out in them, and only 2 part used toilet rolls for the whole house. Bunk bed room When booking we were told that we could use all the beds in the bunk bed room this was important to us and why we booked this property as we needed to use all the beds for the kids but on arrival we were only provided bedding for the bottom bunks and when we called the office to rectify we were told we were not allowed to use the top bunks at all. Mixed info. Building works Appreciated the refund but when agreeing to it we were told the building works would be inside only they were working on the roof with hammers from 8am4pm. The property was a shell and quite clearly external works were in progress not internal. Otherwise we loved it and what it offered!
We found the house to be extremely homely and comfortable. We would love to stay there again. It was tastefully done and clean. Our only suggestion would be to have an electric blind fitted on the large landing window as next door can see into the top of the house so if you are leaving the bathroom from having a shower, there is not much privacy. Also, the kitchen door did not shut properly so with an inquisitive toddler, we had to be mindful to watch the door. Also, a baby gate option for the top and bottom of the stairs would be great for those with young families. Also, if the top bunks are not being made up, then remove the unmade duvets and pillows as most kids want to go up there so it then becomes I unhygienic.
Amazing house. Really loved it. We had a fabulous week and didnt want to come home. The only disappointment was the listing which stated sleeps 10 when we booked it but was changed to sleeps 8 at some point before we arrived meaning we had to cancel some family staying with us.
