Souterstead Reviews

A super nice house with very lovely people who made the stay fantastic for us. We enjoyed it very much.
Stephanie
We loved our stay here, very calm and peaceful with a gorgeous and large enclosed garden for our dog to run around. We noticed that some of the furniture was low down which made it difficult for my dad to get on and off furniture. It would have been nice to control the temp on the hot tub which we really enjoyed using. We would definitely come back to visit, all of us really loved the place and it was a great location to visit lots of other villages in the lakes. Thanks Amanda for letting us stay in your beautiful property and getting to fuss and say hello to your dogs and horse in the evenings was an added bonus!
We loved our stay at Souterstead and being welcomed by Amanda. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Only minor observations to make it perfect 2 extra seating in TV lounge as 4 isnt sufficient when the house accommodates 6. A hose to wash muddy dogs as its boggy on the common. We did find it strange not having a fridge in the kitchen where preparingcooking food but I guess its good for the step count ! Fabulous house and lovely hot tub overlooking the garden and view
Michelle
This is a true gem of a property surrounded by beautiful scenery just outside of Coniston in the village of Torver. The property is well equipped for your stay. It has a superb garden surrounded by walking routes. The local pub is a short walk away for food and drinks. We took the old railway line walk into Coniston. The owner was very friendly and helpful, our daughter loved hearing about animals on the farm and got to help with care of their horse. The wood burner was a dream and kept us toasty warm during our stay. Having so many bathrooms and toilets was also a real bonus for our large family. We stayed during Easter and there were some lovely personal touches like Easter wreaths and decorations at the property. Thank you for a wonderful stay with happy memories made.
