St Marys View, Southwold

The house is absoultely stunning, we loved the panoramic views from the bedrooms and front room. The decor is lovely and well thought and the kitchen had everything you could ask for. However, there are certain areas where things are looking a bit tired, there is some plaster on the wall near the dining table and chairs which has blown and could do with sanding down and replaster with a quick touch of paint. The fabric dining chairs sink when you sit on them and on one of them the bottom fabric was hanging down. On one of our towels was a strip of masking tape with' Aidrigham' written in black pen. The main negative thing for us was that we couldnt get the television in the front room to work at all, we tried everything, no instructions either so we all had to spend alot of time watching football in our bedrooms! Given that we would defintely stay again but a few small touches need some attention.

We have stayed at St Marys a few time now and returning again soon. The positives Amazing seaview and excellent location, open plan lounge, kitchen and dining so works well for families, well equipped kitchen. The negatives showing some signs of wear, no toilet on lounge floor, the fire does not work again and have never seen it actually working this needs addressing with a new refit . Whilst appreciating time of year and weather, the windows were terribly dirty. Spoke to the agent and a window cleaner did arrive a few days later and we could finally enjoy the seaview.

This property is perfectly situated in Southwold, however the fitting which holds the hand held shower was broken, the water pressure for the bath was non existent and whoever purchased and fitted the toilet seat should have gone to Specsavers, it couldnt have been any worse fit. I do hope they tried to use it, probably ended up on the floor!

Hole in kitchen lights I emailed the pic to you the Friday we checked in no reply and short of bulbs,bulbs out all over the house window wont open in the dining area which makes it hot it didnt open last year either! ! Besides all of that we had a wonderful week as usual thaw weather was beautiful I think it was our 10th year at st Marys view

We had a lovely comfortable stay and the flexibility of bed arrangements meant everyone could be comfortable. The position of the flat was perfect for a sunny seaside weekend for a 3 generation group. Thank you.

Great location, excellent facilities and we love the whole aspect of the venue and thank you for maintaining the house to its high specification. Can't wait to get back to Southwold next year, so much so that we've booked the same venue again this will be our fourth return to this venue. King regards.

We really loved staying at St. Marys View, what a fabulous house and amazing location. If we were being picky, the two showers were both a little underwhelming and controlling the temperature was challenging and with one actually being broken so the water flow could not be controlled. That aside, we had a really lovely week and notwithstanding the above issues, would definitely recommend to friends and return ourselves.

Water pressure is quite low for the shower, but unsure if this is the area generally or the property itself. Only downside was no bathroom facilities on floor with main living area. Fab location close to town and the beach and the apartment was very spacious. Was exactly what we needed for a few days away as a family of 4 4 adults and 1 child. Would stay again.

The visit is our second consecutive year to this property as a family. Although the weather was again not too good this year, the location of the property, the views from the windows, it's facilities and family accommodation was again brilliant and made up for any negatives. We look forward to our stay next year.

This was the first time staying in Southwold as we normally stay in Aldeburgh but this was a family holiday and the property and facilities were perfect for us and only a few minutes walk from everything. We were concerned about the parking but it was fine. The only comment is that the fridge is rather small to cater for a family of 8. But a minor issue. We will likely be back next year !

A really lovely apartment this our 2nd stay in this property and still just as pleased as before. The only negative I would say is that I could have done with a toilet on the first floor as its a lot of steep stairs if you are entering the building from the outside. But thats just me I am just getting old.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Superbly equipped and maintained.

An excellent property beautifully laid out with high class equipment a credit to the owners. The property is complemented by the best view in Southwold.
