St. Mary's House Reviews

We had a wonderful week at St Mary's House. We had forgotten just what a beautiful part of the UK it is. What did astound me was that without exception, the grass everywhere was green, whereas back home in Kent, it was and still is pretty brown. We went on some wonderful walks with our friends and their dog Chester and found two of the best pubs I have every visited. The Feathered Nest at Nether Westcote and the Plough at Kingham, where we had a fab Sunday Lunch. The house itself was fine, especially downstairs and although the furniture in the upstairs bedrooms wasn't that great, it was ok. We did find the hob in the kitchen a little difficult to use. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our week at St Mary's House.
House was spacious and comfortable, well situated for exploring the Cotswolds. Detailed directions would have been appreciated as satnav doesnt take one to the property, we had to drive round the village and ask a passerby. Sadly we were very disappointed with the cleaning and general maintenance Oven was very dirty, bathroom sink completely blocked. Patio tables and chairs needed cleaning before use, debris was more than a few days old, patio required sweeping. We didnt use the trampoline however it was filthy dried bird muck, debris from trees. Conservatory roof was filthy moss and algae from weeks if not months. On opening windows, frames were dirty and full of cobwebs. Cleaning of bathroom and kitchen floors very superficial e.g. dead flies and dust in utility room, dust and fluff behind bathroom door only visible when door closed, one member of our party wore white socks and after a few hours in kitchendining area they were very dirty. Disgusting foul smell entered through kitchen window on 3rd evening, and on last night it drifted upwards and the bedroom window had to be closed.
Lovely property in secluded setting with beautiful garden. Very quiet but well appointed for numerous attractions nearby.
We had a lovely stay at St Mary's house and would highly recommend. It was very warm and comfortable. The children even in Decemberenjoyed the trampoline. Lovely walks for the dog. The only downside was standard size double beds were a bit small for 2 adults. All in all very good value for money.

We had a lovely family weekend in St Marys House. The house is beautiful and comfortable with thoughtful attention to detail, including the house interior decorated for Christmas. Local amenities are a short car journey as are the local sights. We had a great weekend and we would definitely recommend a stay at St Marys House. Thankyou

We have had a lovely week. The property was perfect for our family get together, the rooms were well laid out, and the kids loved the books and games there. We appreciated how clean the property was, literally spotless. It was very well placed for visiting the Cotswolds, very central to lots of the tourist attractions. Finally, thank you for the welcome package, the milkjuicebiscuits. This was very well received after a long drive. If we decide to visit the Cotswolds again, we will 100 book this property again.
