Station Hall Reviews

Beautiful cottage well presented a couple of very minor negatives easily fixed 1 oven could do with a deep clean 2 mattress is very very soft and being foam extremely warm Every thing else positive positive. Would we stay again absolutely yes 100 Gareth was amazing well done and thank you Carol & Bob
What a lovely holiday home, had everything needed for a lovely stay. Location is great, nestled in a very active village with a wonderful shop and two pubs. Hot tub was a blessing after long walks out. The walk from the house down along the river teifi to Cilgerran Castle and back was delightful and we spotted herons and kingfishers. The local wildlife marshes were teeming with wildlife with just a little patience, the closest park run is also there. Lots of lovely castles within a 50 minute drive. Pembroke and Carew both worth a visit. The house is lived in, the kitchen is a little tired but dont let it put you off in anyway. The patio outside the back door is plenty big enough with a few steps up to the garden and hot tub with off road parking too. Tesco deliver easily although its only 10 minutes to the town. Very secure for dogs as no need to even use the front door. Even dog food Dave over the road was amazing. Research pub openings and dog rules though as a bit hit and miss. Would happily book again.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We liked the use the use of the hot tub and the robes provided. The sunken terrace was quite shelttered, when the weather was cooler, and was a nice place to eat. The lounge sofas were comfortable, and the kitchen equiped with the basics. could do with an extra saucepan. The beds were comfy, but because they are at the front of the house you do get traffic noise. There are some nice walks along the river, and the bus stops outside the property to get into Cardigan, approx 10mins ride. We also parked at St Dogmaels and walked to Poppit sands along the coastal path. We had an issue with one of the sides not working on the hot tub shelter, but Gareth sorted this out very quickly, along with removing the dirty bedlinen and towels, from the previous guests, and cleaning the grill tray in the oven, which had both been ommitted by the cleaner. We didn't let these issues spoil our holiday.

Had a lovely stay, lots of room both out doors and in with everything you need. Hot tub was great and an added bonus for the price we paid. Very dog friendly with a totally enclosed patio and small garden with some grass. Highly recommended
Excellent house location village ia great with lots of walks feom the doorstep. The clise proximity to Cardigan means evwrything available to you. Wildlife centre is a tranquil haven and provises an waay walk to Cardigan where a deink by the river fuela you for the walk home and relax back into the hot tub. Just what we needed
We had a really good time at Station Hall. The accommodation was comfortable . We found the kitchen area a bit small, but the dining area was very spacious. The kitchen was well equipped but we found the Tassimo coffee maker did not work. The upstairs had two double bedrooms and a smaller room with bunk beds. The shower room was very good but the en suite was very tight and the flush was very temperamental . Outside there was a large patio dining area with bbq. Our dogs loved the enclosed gras area. We used the hot tub once and really enjoyed it. Station Hall is well situated for visits to all of Pembrokeshire and the Cardigan area. The village of Cilgerran has a good shop and the only pub in the village the Masons Arms Rampinn was fantastic . The other pub in the village has now closed. There are some good walks in the area. It should be noted that the paths down to the River Teifi are very steep and are even steeper coming up through the woods back to the castle. The road beside the village shop can be driven up and down although a bit narrow. However, on reaching the river there is a very good picnic area.. The one thing that we found very lacking was a comprehensive information pack. There was just some information on rubbish recycling and some very very brief notes from a previous owner. We had a very good time at Station Hall and visited lots of places.Despite these few niggles, we would certainly revisit in the future.
Fantastic week even in February, second time visiting Station Hall and even found places we hadnt been before. Hot tub was still brilliant and Margi the housekeeper is a gem if you need to know or need anything she just the person to contact. Even though been twice would still book to go again. Good large three bedroom house. Good pubs near by.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Station Hall. Had everyrhing we needed, garden was lovely for the dogs to wander in. Jacuzzi was really good. Great area didn't have to go far to enjoy ourselves.
Stay In Station hall was wonderful. A lot to see near by lots of walking done. And it was pleasure to come back into cottage. We didnt miss a thing everything what you need you can find. Me and family definitely recommend this house. Definitely would stay again.
We really enjoyed our stay, the property was clean, well equipped and met all of our needs. The hot tub was a real joy.

Absolute lovely cottage. .. hottub was ready for us lovely and warm.. bed really comfortable. Very spacious even for a family.
The cottage is lovely and in a great location for short drives to different beaches and little seaside towns. On arrival we spent 4 hours cleaning which was disappointing, It hadnt been hoovered disgustingly there were toe nail clippings behind the sofa near the front door, the pots, pans, cups and cutlery needed washing before we could use the floors downstairs not mopped and had dirty shoe prints, dog poop in the garden that hadnt been picked up, really dusty in most places. Hot tub was a nice touch but could not be used the first two days as it was cold and not ready on arrival.
The house was perfect and the people in the village couldn't have been nicer

Lovely cottage, great facilities, hot tub brilliant idea, outside facilities good, kitchen well equipped. Negatives were rusty accessories in the bathrooms, dust on top of wardrobes and behind headboards, bedroom door to ensuite room doesn't shut, bedding and towels are due for replacement as looking well worn. Please update the recycling information and providing a property welcome information pack would be a great help. The windows need cleaning desperately, I was so tempted to clean them, it's such a lovely place and looking through dirty windows is quite irritating. For the price I paid I did expect the finer details to be better. Great location. Lovely stay though thank you would definitely stay again.
The house was exactly as advertised, nice location, great hot tub, very cosey , had a great stay
The property was very comfortable and a great location to great beaches a good ... The property was very comfortable and a great location to great beaches a good dog friendly area we will definitely be booking with sykes cottages again this year
We had a lovely stay the property was clean and well equipped, there was a cosy and friendly local pub the Mason Arms around the corner as well as a beautiful beach. The garden was spacious and the hot tub was a lovely addition, thank you for a great stay!
Really good cottage. good communication and absolutely no dramas. Particularly liked the ability to just get on with it, not be liaising with someone about arrival times etc
The cottage is in a good location. We enjoyed the hot tub. The house is clean and uncluttered. It's ideal for a family and dog. It feels very comfortable.
The hot tub was fabulous and not promoted enough. Lots of hot tub properties share the tub but here its private, a huge tub and in a lovely enclosed grassy garden. If you want to eat locally at the Cardiff Arms pub please be sure to book in advance as theyre popular and we missed out twice.
Pictures don't do outside facility's justice . Best outside space I've stayed in fantastic hot tub and housing which can be closed or open
The garden was great and safe for the dog , nice and clean with some groceries there if needed would stay again
Fantastic stay. cottage is very big and easy to get to. the dogs loved it been so close to the sea the only down side is there is Daves pet shop straight across the road and can get very noisy out there when you have a lazy day in the cottage. everything else is great.
Mobile signal was very patchy in the house. Our mobile phones are supported by 4 different mobile providers but signal was non existent or vey weak, this in addition to no WiFi not owners fault , more a local issue made it difficult to keep in contact with employers and relatives. Sykes provided a list of things that would not be available at the property due to Covid restrictions eg drying cloths, cushions, oven gloves etc but all were provided at the property.
Beautifully appointed cottage in a friendly village. .
Best holiday cottage we've stayed in. Clean, comfortable, and spacious. Had everything we needed. In a nice village with shop, and two friendly pubs nearby. Great location to explore west Wales. 1010.
I've used Sykes Cottages for the last 3 years to book my summer UK holidays. Easy to use service, great communications and very comfortable, well catered for properties. Station Hall is in a lovely quiet village with some beautiful walks by the river. The owners had thought of everything!! The outside BBQ area was well used by us and the secure garden meant that we didn't have to worry about our dog wandering off! All beds were very comfortable and the showers were powerful. The large airy living room was a great space to veg out in the evening and watch some of the films the owners had thoughtfully supplied. Cardigan is about 4 miles away and a lovely place to visit if you love Pizza check out Pizzatipi.
Excellent holiday can thoroughly recommend the accommodation. Possibly the only disadvantage was none of the pubs in Cilgerron sold food but the facilities including the barbeque more than made up for this and there are good restaurants available a short drive away.
It as a great location luckily we had the weather too
A real gem. Beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and well furnished. Lovely location, peaceful and yet only minutes in car or on bus to town and beyond. Welsh Wildlife Centre literally just up the road well worth a visit. Walk down steep to the river and woodland also worth exploring and the hill back up got easier as the week progressed! A brilliant find no doubt will be fully booked from now on in.
Very nice home and clean on arrival. Good location as a base for the area. Good walk along the river that is near the house. Would highly recommend this place.
Station Hall is a very spacious, well equipped property in a lovely village. Our family was very impressed with the facilities available, especially the outdoor barbeque area. We would definitely recommend Station Hall.
