The Granary Reviews

We travelled to Cornwall to meet with family & stayed at The Granary as a base. The accommodation has been tastefully decorated with every attention to detail on style and home comforts. Its very quiet & remote if you want to escape for escape from a busy life and relax Nice garden & hot tub too

We have been back to The Granary for another short break lovely place to stay ... We have been back to The Granary for another short break lovely place to stay & it is in easy reach of lots of places to visit Thank you for another great stay
We loved our stay at the Granary. The accommodation is lovely and well furnished. I loved the lounge kitchen and that it was upstairs.. The kitchen was well equipped and a pleasure to prepare food in. Loved the log burner in the lounge. The bedrooms were cosy and it was so peaceful. The only downside was the gardens were overgrown . I dont think a gardener had been there in weeks. It spoiled the first impression as the grass was so long in both gardens.. The other properties around had neat gardens , but the Granary was somewhat neglected. The other issue was the disposal of rubbish and recycling. The black wheely bin was full to the brim. I dont think it had been emptied in weeks. We had nowhere to but our rubbish. The bin was on the side of the access road and was not emptied on the day it should have been. This needs sorting before your next customers arrive. . This did not spoil our stay as the Granary is lovely and such a beautiful place and well maintained inside and we would return..

We recently returned from our stay in Cornwall and were genuinely impressed by the high standard of accommodation. Everything was immaculately clean, thoughtfully presented, and equipped with all the essentials we needed for a comfortable and relaxing break. It truly felt like a home away from home. The cottage was spotless and wellmaintained. Every detail had been considered, making our stay effortless. The location was perfectideal for exploring Cornwalls stunning coastline and charming villages. The only downside was the hot tub. It took around two hours to fill and then another two hours to heat, which unfortunately meant I didnt get to use it myself. That said, my daughter and husband made the most of it by turning it into a refreshing plunge pool for a quick 20minute dip! Despite the hot tub hiccup, we absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. The cottage offered everything we were looking for, and its location made it a fantastic base for adventures. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway in Cornwall.

We spent a lovely week staying in The Granary, perfect location for exploring beautiful Cornwall. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful, decorated to a high standard with a touch of luxury. Everything you could of think and more was available within the accommodation. With the bonus of having a private garage just across the court yard. This had even more extras that could be used, like a freezer, towels and crate if needed for the dog, items to use for crabbing and much more. Good communication from the lovely owners also. Thank you very much

We have just enjoyed a short break away in clean, comfortable accommodation which provided everything that we needed. Location ideal for visiting surrounding areas including the coast & dog walks Thank you
Such a fantastic place and we enjoyed every minute! The facilities were great and accommodated us all easily. We loved the little touches, such as toys for my young children and supplys for the dog! The property was immaculate and easy to find every thing we needed! Thanks for a lovely holiday!

I would not recommend this property. We stayed there for a week in March and found that we were asked to comply with numerous trivial demands. For example, we were required not to let our dog urinate in the garden unless we sluiced it down afterwards. Also, we were supplied with stained sheets which were blamed on us afterwards and threatened with a cleaning bill. We left the property in good condition but were accused of leaving dirty sheets and towels this was just through normal use.

Arrival info needs updating as no electronic gate, building work taking place on site, requirement to provide own logs for fire and hot tub needs to be in the main info so people are aware BEFORE booking! No freezer in main building so every time we needed ice for drinks we had to go outside to garage which because it was so cold, was a pain!

Beautifully furnished cottage with great facilities and well maintained. A pleasure to stay there. Owners were great with the few issues we had and also helped local pubs, restaurants to stay in. They were very flexible with us too as we had a young family.

Fantastic base for our holiday in Cornwall, immaculate finish and cleanliness. Kids loved the hot tub. No notes we hope to come back in future!

Yeah excellent in the middle of nowhere you could go and visit everywhere by car ... Yeah excellent in the middle of nowhere you could go and visit everywhere by car lovely and peaceful located to everywhere you want to go
Lovely property, warm, comfortable and clean. We loved the wood fired hot tub, lovely to not have the chemicals.Wonderful welcome pack. We met the neighbours on both sides, who were friendly and welcoming. We did have contact with the owner, due to some minor hiccups, who responded quickly. It's a new rental and they are working with Sykes to update the listing details. Nothing to spoil the holiday, we were very happy there and had a lovely, relaxing break. We hope to return.
