About The Hideaway Cromer

An attractive brick and flint cottage, this contemporary retreat is perfect for a family or group of friends eager to experience North Norfolk. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom hideaway is set in Northrepps, 2 miles from the beach at Overstrand and 3 miles from the bustling Victorian town of Cromer. Pick up the Norfolk Coast Path in either of these places. Spend time in Cromer eating fish and chips on the pier, taking in a seaside show or sampling some of the town’s famous crab. Venture 8 miles into Sheringham to go to the beach, potter in the gift shops, or hop aboard a steam train to the Georgian market town of Holt. The National Trust’s Sheringham Park, 7.5 miles away, is a colourful place to stroll, especially in late spring or early summer. The impressive Jacobean mansion of Blickling Hall, 10 miles away, is also well worth a visit. Step inside this immaculate modern house that is built in the style of a traditional Norfolk country cottage. From the airy hall, stroll into the airy kitchen/diner to unpack the freshly landed Norfolk seafood you have bought for lunch. Prepare your meal, adding some delicious locally grown salad, then serve up at the table, with the door to the garden open on sunny days. The sitting room is another great social space. Sink back into the plush sofa to chat, share a bottle of wine and catch up on your favourite shows on the Smart TV. There is also a soundbar speaker for a full cinematic experience. When you are ready to turn in for the night, make your way up to the first floor of the cottage, where your immaculate bedrooms are located. Here you have two king bedrooms, each with a Smart TV for long lazy mornings in bed, and a charming twin that any children in your party will love. The family bathroom benefits from a shower for rinsing off the sand and salt and a bath for relaxing in after coastal walks. There is an additional separate WC downstairs. Make the most of the abundant Norfolk sunshine by unwinding in the lovely enclosed garden. Play family games with the youngsters on the lawn or sip a glass of something chilled from a bottle you’ve cooled in the very handy drinks fridge. Please take care on the steps down to the lawn. There is private, off-road parking here for two cars.
