The Last Resort Reviews

I stayed at the Last Resort Pod for 10 nights just me and my dog, and it truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how thoughtful the host was a lovely welcome food package had been left for us, including butter, bread, milk, fresh orange juice, cereal, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and even treats for my dog, which was such a kind touch. The pod itself was immaculate spotless, warm, and incredibly cosy. The bed was honestly the most comfortable Ive ever slept in while on holiday, which made our stay even more relaxing. But what really makes this place special are the views absolutely incredible from every angle. Waking up to that scenery each morning was a dream. The location is wonderfully peaceful and quiet, with plenty of beautiful walks straight from the pod. At night, the sky was full of stars, and we could hear owls calling such a magical experience. Just a short walk away, we were lucky enough to come across gorgeous Highland cows and their baby, which was a real highlight of the trip. The location is also perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Glencoe is only about 40 minutes away we took the ski lift, visited the National Trust centre, saw the deer near Kingshouse Hotel from a respectful distance please dont feed them!, and explored the famous Skyfall filming location. We also loved stopping at the Clachaig Inn the staff were lovely, it was very dogfriendly, and the food was incredible. Oban is around 38 minutes away, and from there we took a CalMac ferry to the Isle of Mull Calmac dog friendly and amazing customer service, which Id highly recommend as a day trip. Even though some places were closed as it was out of season, Oban still had plenty of charming shops and cafs to enjoy. We also discovered some beautiful, quiet beaches with stunning views nearby. I honestly couldnt fault our stay it was relaxing, scenic, and exactly what we needed. I would highly recommend the Last Resort Pod to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Highlands, and Im already looking at booking again!

An ideal place to stay, so quiet and secluded. Well decorated for Christmas. A home from home, so well equipped and with a lot of freebies not only for us but for our furbabies as well. We were able to meet the owners, they are so nice and accommodating. Though it was raining for the week we stayed, we were not bothered because we were so comfortable in the pod.Really good place to stay. Definitely coming back. It's like fairyland...

This is the best pod that my wife and I have ever stayed at, the quality of the interior is second to none. The views are absolutely stunning, I cant say enough about this pod its just the best place to spend any amount of time. If you book to stay here you will not be disappointed I promise you.
Outstanding pod. All needs weee catered for. A true home from home!!
First time staying in a pod and I was very impressed with the design and attention to detail as well as the beautiful location. Host provided milk, orange and bread plus biscuits, cereals, and various beverages to greet you on arrival. Spacious shower. Excellent strong wifi signal if you need it. I certainly intend to return to this pod.
The Last Resort pod was a great place to stay in a peaceful and stunning location. The pod itself is clean, modern, comfortable and extremely well equipped with everything we needed, including such items as a knife sharpener, numerous goodies like such as ground coffee and plentiful breakfast cereal. Our dog was well catered for as well, with treats and towels to dry him off after a wet walk!

We totally loved the pod . It was beautifully done. Best part the view while sitting in the rocking chair while drinking whiskey! It was so peaceful and private.Hopefully we will get to return again soon

A fantastic week in a gorgeous pod. The owners had provided everything you needed for your stay. The pod was immaculately clean and surprisingly roomy. We had 3 days of sunshine sitting on the terrace and 3 days of rain snuggled inside watching the TV. Comfy bed Hot shower. 5 star accommodation

Absolutely lovely pod so well equipped and furnished. In a beautiful spot great for walking. Oban and Appin not far away. Lovely stay really enjoyed it.
The Last Resort is an amazing place to escape to, no other pods just trees and the birds, against a stunning backdrop of mountains, there are trails to walk and our dogs had great fun exploring. Highly recommend staying, I think its a slice of heaven, great to destress from daily town living, we will definitely be returning.

Privileged to have been the first guest staying here. Ive stayed in many a cabin in Scotland but this was by far the best, in terms of the location and the accommodation itself. An extremely peaceful spot with an elevated position offering uninterrupted views of the Glen, with only the sound of birdsong. Never seen such dark skies with so many stars. The lodge itself has a high end finish, plenty of home comforts, very cosy, clean and comfortable. Very generous food package and provision of dog bedtowels most welcomed. Welcoming hosts and just the dream escape. Lucked out with the weather and was able to bag one of the Munros on the doorstep. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
