Tremornah Reviews

We were 4 adults a 3 year old and 3 dogs stayed one week in June. Plenty of space . Good size bedrooms. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms down stairs. Bedrooms could have blackout curtains as it daylight as soon it becomes light outside. Door to back garden from one of bedroom. Means you all have to use that bedroom to go out if you are downstairs. No problems for us but if you want your privacy in your bedroom theres a balcony from the lounge and stairs to get out without entering any bedrooms. Steep steps so small kids must be supervised. There's a gate to so you can lock and secure steps. Be aware that if you walking upstairs in kitchen or lounge its very noisy if you still sleeping down stairs. You can hear every step from upstairs. Games in lounge if rainy days. Garden secured for dogs. Lovely scones , jam and clotted clotted cream and cider on arrival. Milk in fridge. Much appreciated. Theres an AGA stove in kitchen that cant be turned off so very warm in kitchen. Windows need to be open for air. Toilet upstairs in hallway. If you bring dogs and they are reactive to other dogs be aware of owners 2 dogs that roam around free. Harvey and the absolutely lovely Hugo. What a brilliant life to roam around free on the farm. Kitchen has what you need but could do with 2 more frying pans and nonstick. Dishwasher wich was very helpful if you are more people and cook. A American style fridge a d freezer absolutely exellent. Hottub under roof so that was brilliant. Nice garden to have bbq in. The steps into property are big stones shape and a bit high for those with problems. But there's another door straight into hallway downstairs and very convenient to unload into bedrooms. Stairs inside are not steep. Parking outside cottage. Therere are fields to let dogs out for a run. Chickens in an enclosure in field and also a big trampoline for kids to use in the field. Owners lives in the house next to it but dont interfere with guests. Their son with family lives in the other house and there are other properties that are rented out. But nooone interfere so you have your privacy. Back garden is private. Internet is bad but its in the country side so thats normal. Owners and family very lovely and do not interfere at all unless theres a problem. We did not have any issues at all in cottage. Would be come back , yes definitely and I recommend this cottage. It's a barn from 1700 century converted into a cottage. So very old but nicely done. We had a lovely week.
The house was beautiful and well prepared, clean and tidy. The garden was fully enclosed, so perfect for our dog. Comfortable, welcoming and just what we needed.
We were very surprised to see this rental was listed as 5 as its definitely past its best. Whilst the property size is great, hosts friendly and helpful, it has plenty of comfy sofas, well equipped kitchen, fireplace wood and bedrooms too. What lets it down is the attention to detail on basic things. The hot tub lid is broken and is very difficult to open & close. The patio garden flower box is rotten and falling apart, as are several of the patio slabs. Both showers dont work properly in the main shower, the waterfall and handheld shower operate at the same time you cannot use just one. The main shower is blocked and fills up to dangerously overflowing. Main family bedroom downstairs is very cold at night. Kitchen walls are stained with water damage. Bathroom and bedroom windows dont close properly & lock. The sitting room door is very stiff and difficult to lock. Whilst these may seem petty, they add up to a property that was probably stunning 5yrs ago, now it feel neglected.

We had an excellent stay. Cottage was beautiful and well equipped. The arrival basket was lovely and the scones went down a treat. The boys loved the farm and all the facilities, especially the hot tub, swing and games room, and the dog had a lovely garden to run around in.

Fantastic location for a very relaxing stay. Perfect for our dogs with a lovely walk from the doorstep to a quiet cove and access to the coastal path. Owner friendly and welcoming and the welcome cream tea and cider were much appreciated. Local pub was not open but we would definitely recommend the nearby Kings Arms in Paul. Great base to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall. We will return!
Such a lovely reverse level house and garden. We were planning just to relax and weren't disappointed. The weather was on our side too so we just enjoyed the sun and the house. The enclosed garden was perfect for our two dogs and the hot tub was a great addition. It was lovely sitting on the garden balcony in the morning with the sun blazing. Thank you to our hosts. Great short break

We have stayed in Sykes Cottages previously, but, Tremornah was exceptional. 3 generations shared the cottage and there was space for all of us. The enclosed back garden was great for the children. They loved the animals and The Shed we loved the welcome gifts. Thank you.
Lovey cottage, lots of room and space, well maintained and welcoming. Hot tub was lovely and relaxing.
