Trewince Manor Cottage Reviews

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. Great to have woodfired pizza and fish & chips on the doorstep. Hope to return sometime in the future
We booked during hot and sunny week in May half term. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage stayed beautifully cool despite the heat its directly opposite the pool which our kids loved. The jacuzzi, sauna, barista, ice creams, also alongside the pool were brilliant plus the weekly pizza van and fish and chips. The cottage was clean, fully equipped, beds were comfortable. Its rustically refurbished. Everything worked. Each room has an ensuite though the showers were a bit small for some in our group, but this was clearly advertised. The third room, a double is up a separate staircase at the other end of the house, something to be mindful of. All rooms were lovely. The garden with furniture and cushions was great. The onsite walks were stunning. We had a great time and would book again.
We recently stayed here. On first impression the cottage seemed cosy. We didnt have heating the first night but understand this was an unexpected issue and was sorted by Sally the caretaker extremely quickly. Sally was amazing our whole trip l. However there are alot of issues that need fixing l. Firstly you cannot cook in the kitchen as the smoke alarm goes off every time you open the oven or use the hob and is too high to turn off. There is a leak in the kitchen and porch, a lot of the rooms had a considerable draft coming in. The bath is very small and the overflow drains onto the floor. The kitchen is also very cold, and worth keeping in mind the aga and fireplace are just for show. There are some positives, the location is great and isnt too far from everywhere in cornwall. Its very close to beach and two pubs in walking distance. You also have the pool and gym to use in the holiday park. I would come back and stay here if these issues were fixed as it does have the potential to be a really lovely cottage but it does need a lot of work.
Trewince Manor cottage appeared unfinished. We had lots of issues which have been passed on to Sally the caretaker. We didnt look to find fault but the fact is there were many. I have used Sykes before and not had issues like this trip. The location was delightful and the fish and chip van visiting on a Thursday was a nice addition. I do hope these things are fixed before the next visitors.
Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The Cottage is super spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. Beds very comfy. The welcome cream tea, card and flowers much appreciated. The swimming pool on site is a boon. The view from the lounge would be improved, if the small tree on the right was cut down. Ideal location for superb coastal and estuary walking. Just ten minutes walk away, is a fabulous viewpoint looking down over the estuary.
Great house with compact ensuite with each room as well as a downstairs bathroom. Small garden if you bring the dog and nice walks straight from the house. Added bonus that the pizza van, taco stand and fish & chip van visited on different nights which eased catering! NB book your pizzas in advance!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage, thank you. Much appreciated the thought and skill that has gone into modernising whilst enhancing its characterful 'old time' feel. It's location is great, central to the lovely Roseland peninsular beaches and villages and right opposite the pool and sauna. Would love to return...

Hidden little gem for sure . Absolutely loved this cottage . Very comfy and perfect for the family . Location is away from everyone which is great . We used the pool most days too . We have found our go to place and will be returning next year with more family members . If buying was a possibility, Id buy it tomorrow
The cottage was beautiful and so relaxing to be in. Being able to use the pool and spa facilities on the park site was a real plus as well. The beds were all comfy and having a separate wing to the adult living room and bedroom was great! The only reason I didnt give 5stars is because you cant quite see the sea view from the garden and the garden isnt enclosed enough to be able to let our naughty dog roam free as she runs away given any chance. But we had a long lead so it was fine! Lovely cream tea on arrival as well Thankyou!!
