One of the best cottages we have stayed in, rural location. Comfortable, clean and fully equipped with everything we needed during our stay, even the dog was catered for with a selection of bowls and towels. The courtyard is private and outdoor furniture is available. Excellent hosts. The cottage is perfectly situated for visiting many of the Cotswolds villages. Excellent cottage will be returning in the near future.

We found the property a little difficult to find from the instructions but Oh Boy what a delight when we arrived. This is one of the best holiday rentals we have ever been to. Perfect layout, beautifully clean, Lovely furniture and the most comfortable beds. An absolute delight. Central to all what the Cotswolds have to offer. One tiny little negative. An absence of a razor point in the bathrooms but apart from that. Just great! 10 out of 10.

Is there anything we can say about Washpool Cottage that hasn't already been said? ! Probably not but we won't let that deter us! The property is very clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a lovely stay. Washpool is ideally situated for visits to Burford and further afield, but is itself located in a quiet rural location the best of both worlds. The only minor disappointment while we were there was the weather, but that aside we still didn't want to leave.

The cottage was superb. Clean, warm, comfortable sofa and beds, and a charming welcome from the owners. Beautiful walks from the door and top quality food at the local pub a mile away. Location perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. Five star!

We thought the cottage was delightful, well equipped with good quality appliances. It was warm and having a wood burner was great. We didn't use the jacuzzi being winter and the weather was bad. It is well positioned to get to the other villages and towns in the Cotswolds.

Beautiful accommodation with absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Enclosed outside area which was great for our little dog. Hosts were so welcoming and it is a wonderful base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Washpool is a lovely cottage in a quiet, relaxing part of the Cotswolds but within easy reach of the usual tourist attractions. A nice walk of just under a mile takes you to a lovely pubrestaurant The Hare and a Coop for necessities. The owners live around the cottage and we received a warm welcome on arrival but then left to enjoy our stay in the knowledge they were nearby if needed. Parking is ample offroad. Perfect place for our party of 4 adults, 1 baby and a dog with all amenities for all available on request baby stuff. Scones & jam and coffee pods available on arrival was a nice touch. Highly recommended
WE HAD A LOVELY WEEK AT WASHPOOL In a cottage surrounded by farmland and fields. The location was very good for travelling around the many beautiful Cotswolds towns and villages. A warm welcome from the owners on the day of arrival was most helpful, also the goodies for us to enjoy. The beds were very comfortable, as was the living room, the kitchen was well equipped too, anything you needed was at hand. I would indeed recommend Washpool to anyone who would like to stay in a rural country cottage with all the modern amenities at your disposal, even a Hot Tub in the garden. The weather was good too which is always an added bonus. The rain came down the night before we left. Most certainly a great holiday which my husband and I shared with our dear friends. Linda

The property was just perfect! Location is just fantastic and is very central for travelling around the Cotswolds. Washpool had everything you needed! Fantastic showers super comfortable beds, lovely kitchen, well equipped throughout, super clean and we couldnt fault anything. Our dog Freddie loved our daily walks in the beauty countryside. The owners are lovely too friendly and helpful and contactable if needed, but we didnt need anything. We will be back for sure and we highly recommend staying in Washpool.

Very spacious and well equipped with everything you will need,the coffee machine was a win with my husband and daughter! The owners were on hand to answer any questions. The hot tub was a welcome addition after a day out walking. The location is a great base to explore the Cotswolds. We enjoyed meals at The Hare and Fire and Wine which are a short drive or a 30 minute walk away.

We really enjoyed this cottage. Location was fantastic as so close to everything we wanted to visit. Very quiet location on a farm. All equipment worked well and it was a lovey touch leaving scones, jam and apple juice and milk for a cup of tea on arrival. Lovely outside area with large round table and comfortable chairs. Had a lovely relaxing stay at the Washpool. We enjoyed all the facilities in the cottage, especially the welcome pack and the log burner. The cottage is very comfortable, well maintained and peaceful. Its only 5 minutes away by car to Burford. I would recommend Burford curry restaurant, we had a takeaway and the food was delicious. A couple of times during our stay the internet went down but, the owners were very helpful and quickly resolved this.
Lovely idyllic cottage, very well stocked and great welcome gifts. Very peaceful and lovely local villages with superb produce. Hope to return soon.

Fabulous cottage, very well equipped. Perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Met by Mike who even chauffeured us to and from The Hare on our first evening. Thanks again Mike. Very tasty homemade mince pies on the welcome tray were appreciated. We made some great Christmas memories, including firing up the hot tub on Christmas Day!
Perfect stay. House well equipped warm and very comfortable. We stayed for three weeks awaiting a house purchase and there was everything we needed. A home from home. We especially appreciated the weekly linen change, refills of toilet rolls etc and the Nespresso machine and pods. The owners were lovely and on hand should we have needed them. Would recommend.

Top quality comfortable beds and bedding, lots of cosy throws throughout and the whole place spotlessly clean. Generous parking and a very nice private seating area outside if it had stopped raining! Friendly, helpful owners, great location, peace and quiet, wonderful facilities and an extremely wellequipped cottage, lovely hot tub and comfortable beds there really wasn't anything we could fault! Washpool is convenient for most of the main attractions in the Cotswolds, just a few minutes' drive from Burford and less than 20 to Stow on the Wold and beautiful Bourton. The Hare in Milton does the most delicious food and is walkable, albeit on country roads and hills. One thing to note for dog owners, you aren't allowed to let your dog use the garden. Thank you for a fabulous stay. We can't wait to come back.

A fabulous cottage. Everything you need, with some added extras. Anne & Mike were so welcoming, they gave us a little tour of the farm and the children even got to feed the horses and pigs. They made some fabulous recommendations . We arrived to freshly made scones clotted cream & Jam and a few other little extras. The hot tub was a bonus. Gowns and towels are provided too. It took a little bit of warming but once ready, we all enjoyed some lovely evenings chilling. The cottage is a perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Just 10 mins from Burford and Chipping Norton, we also visited Stow on the Wold, Daylesfords, Broadway Tower, the Wildlife Park, Diddly Squat, Bourton on the Water, Blenheim Palace. We even went to the local park which had a very well equipped playground for all ages. We had some lovely days out and all easy to get to. We enjoyed a lovely curry at the Spice Lounge in Burford and a fantastic meal at the Hare at Milton just up the road. We would highly recommend this cottage and wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. Washpool Cottage was everything we hoped for and more. We spent a relaxing and comfortable two weeks in the cottage. The moment we walked into the beamed kitchen and found a welcome pack including jam, cream and home made scones we knew it was going to be a good holiday. The owners were helpful and friendly showing us how to light the wood burning hot tub and making sure we had everything we needed. The beds were soft and comfy and everything was beautifully furnished. We are already planning a return visit.

The cottage was very comfortable and clean and well positioned for travel around the Cotswolds. Rooms were all of a good size and well equipped with TV's etc and reliable WiFi. We received a welcome package of dog treats, clotted cream, scones, jam and apple juice which was really nice. We have a whippet and so having a fully enclosed garden was a must for us. The only downside was when we arrived the brochure said dogs were not allowed to pee in the enclosed flagged area. The only other option was to walk the dog along the road which was both narrow and fairly busy. It would have been really useful is either the area in front of the cottage or somewhere else on the farm could have been designated as an area for the dog we do pick up after him. The owner did forget to put milk in the fridge and did offer to get us some, but we had brought our own.

Owners very friendly and helpful. Welcome pack scones jam and cream plus doggie snack a lovely surprise. Whole place was very well equipped. Good to have downstairs WC. Clear instructions for cooktop.would be useful. Advice also that main bedroom shower was in the high sided bath. An excellent time away for four people.

A great week celebrating our wedding anniversary back where we used to live. The cottage was a wonderful space to share with friends socially and relax in comfort. The kitchen and large breakfast bar were perfect for entertaining. The peaceful location with no light pollution helped our sleeping. We didnt need to light the wood burner indoors but so enjoyed the wood fired hot tub and the scones were the best we have ever tasted! Thank you to all the Hartley family.
The cottage is very pleasant and brilliantly situated for the lovely walks in the Cotswolds. There is everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I couldn't fault it.

We had the most amazing stay at Washpool. Clean and extremely cosy and comfortable with lots of thought put into small details you may need during your stay like foil and tupperware for packing picnics. We enjoyed the hot tub and it was a treat to start each day with the nespresso coffee machine. The cottage is in an excellent location, just a short drive to many attractions and towns for sightseeing.

The cottage itself is outstanding, beautifully furnished and decorated and has everything one could want. We loved it. The written information left at the property seemed rather out of date with nowhere to write any recommendations or tips for future guests. Although the cottage is listed as dog friendly it should be made clear that there are no walks straight from the cottage, despite that being stated on some of the website listings for this property. Dogs are permitted in the farmyard not the cottage patio. The lane outside the cottage is very very busy and there is no verge or pavement which made walking our dog first thing in the morning or last thing at night hazardous. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and would recommend to nondog owners.
