Weybury Cottage Reviews

Very enjoyable stay in a great location. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Access to the loft extension bedroom was slightly awkward and although it did not cause us a problem, it would be worth highlighting this in the booking information. The vehicle access to the rear of the property was also a bit tight to get in to, although the parking space was most welcome. Also the steps down from the garage are a bit dodgy, particularly the two wooden steps just up from the railway sleepers.

The property was fine. Unfortunately the noise from the building site was a nuisance and the property next door had a lot of mess and rubbish outside which didnt look good. There is no freezer or freezer compartment on the fridge which was an inconvenience.

Upon arrival to the back of the cottage there were mattresses & rubbish from the joining cottage which did make the area look uninviting We were just a couple , however if there were 6 of you I dont think its equipped enough Small dishwasher, toaster for 2 & one bathroom. TV is ridiculously small . Space wise there is plenty for sitting & eating Lovely prints on the walls & furniture We slept in the double room on the first floor , the curtain was hanging down to the left , with no hooks to put it back up . You could feel the springs through the mattress I think the whole place would benefit from a deep clean & perhaps painting . We were unable sit outside as the previous occupants had left all the cushions out , they were soaked through , by the time they dried the weather had changed Neighbours are noisy & they have a dog thats constantly barking Location was perfect , small walk to the harbour, beach , shops & pubs

Really nice house bigger than expected
Although the description does mention no freezer not even a fridge freezer compartment we found incredible. Anyone with ice packs to freeze beware. The size of the fridge is too small for the occupancy of up to 6 people. The oven outer body gets very hot I'd be scared of a child burning themselves. The extractor was too low I hit my head multiple times and I'm only 5' 8 probably a six footer would be above but then not be able to see the hob. The single toilet for six people was insufficient. The shower screen over the bath leaked badly. And the bath extractor ran for ages but didn't really do much had to open the window. The 3 landing light switches were back to front so the bathroom was furthest away from the bathroom the closest turned the lights on in the loft room not a good mistake to make in the middle of the night. Curtains were far to thin it was June but they let too much light in and the hook was broken on one end in the main bedroom. The back bedroom window hinge was broken so if open it was a two person job to close it. Decor was dated and the conservatory on the kitchen the plaster was coming away in the top corner. The decking looked nice but was dangerous in the wet and was irregular in terms of the steps some big some small if you were carrying luggage you need to keep an eye on placing your feet. We have already sent a lot of this directly to the company in the complaint. On the plus side despite tight access to the car parking we did manage to park a large MPV and one other car at the back of the property although the details said only 2 small cars. Great location close to harbour, pubs, restaurants and town centre. The garden was great to sit in in the sunshine. Note anyone with mobility issue there are a lot of steep steps to the property and stairs within it.

We had a lovely week at the property. We found it clean and comfortable. It was well equipped. Had quite a few steps when coming in back or front way but I managed them even with bad knees. It's located very well ,not far to shops , beach and pubs. Plenty to do in Weymouth with nice places to eat. We will definitely be booking Weybury Cottage again.

A lovely holiday home that is only accessible via lots of steep stairs from the front and the rear entrances. The property was clean and comfortable. The biscuits, milk, tea and coffee were a nice welcome. The beds are very soft. The TV is far too small for the room and very complicated to watch live TV a right faff! The garden is lovely and our little dog enjoyed exploring it. The location is great for exploring Weymouth and the parking space was invaluable! The kitchen was well equipped. Please supply more than one loo roll for the visit. We would definately recommend this property for a holiday base.
Lovely cottage with large rooms and great back garden . Attic bedroom could do with a toilet as stairs quite steep to get to 1st floor bathroom . Great location behind the harbour so close to the nothe gardens , harbour and beach . Would definitely recommend a stay.

We booked Weybury Cottage on the last minute, and I'm very pleased we did. This cottage was great, clean, dog friendly and was in an excellent location. I was a little worried when I read the review about the parking, but it was fine, we had no problems. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Loved my holiday in Weymouth, so did my husband, son and our 2 dogs and we will be returning. I would have no hesitation in booking Weybury Cottage again.

Our stay at Weybury Cottage was very pleasant. The home is simply comfortable and well equipped. The location is 5 mins walk from the town centre and is ideal for exploring Weymouth, visiting local restaurants or a base to wander along the coast. Parking is a bit tight but doable and the property is not ideal for those who may struggle with steep stairs and steps you are in a part of town that has steep roads as well. The kitchen was functional for our needs and the bathroom was clean and offered shower or bath. The information book is well constructed and very informative. This is not a palace but a small home away from home. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and was pleased with our choice definitely recommended.

Lovely property. Spotlessly clean. Walking distance to beach, shops etc. Plentry of restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. Well equipped kitchen if you do. Lovely white bedding and towels provided. Parked two cars in space which was very convenient as parking seems to be problematic in Weymouth we got two cars in the space. Turn into access road to space is tight but you get used to it. Steps are a little steep for older generation. A very comfortable stay.
This has been such a wonderful cottage to stay in. The attention to detail throughout the house was fantastic. The location perfect with everything you need close by. The garden was lovely too and big. We really enjoyed our stay.

Few issues, leaking roof due to bad weather but handled immediately, very prompt service. Issues with cleanliness above dining table on shelf, dead flies and wasps, masses of cobwebs on roof. Above head height cleaning needs reviewed, was told it isn't done by rental company. Apart from that excellent holiday.
Fabulous house! Everything you need, beautifully decorated, lots of space, off road parking, lovely outside area to sit. Great location, easy access to the harbour and town, everything in walking distance. Would not hesitate to book again. Highly recommend this property, the owners should be very proud to own such a beautiful place. I could have easily moved in
Alistair
House was great and in the best spot in Weymouth it was so peaceful and not overlooked, the owners have done a great job. We have stayed in this part of town before and theres such a nice vibe and we found a few new places as well. Couple of previous reviews around parking nearly put us off but there were no issues for us and it was great having a parking spot to forget about the car which is the big plus. Simply put, we didnt want to leave.
I think you need to mention that access to the back lane is very awkward where the parking is. Also the walk back from town is up a very steep bank.
Parking was not fully explained Parking was a nightmare as cars in road park ... Parking was not fully explained Parking was a nightmare as cars in road park opposite extremely narrow entrance Wouldnt use cottage again because of parking
