Wide Skies, Aldeburgh

Many thanks to the Owner for allowing us to stay at Wide Skies. Wonderful house, Fantastic location, Beautifully furnished. If I win the Lottery I would buy it! Aldeburgh is a delightful, clean place to stay with lovely shops and many fine restaurants. And Sykes arranged 7 days of sunshine so our entire week was PERFECTION.

Amazing house and location, however there were building works going on next door and scaffolding overhanging some rooms so the vistas not as perfect as could be, little disappointed this wasnt communicated before our stay as they were also working there 3 days during the stay so a little noisy and lacked privacy in top bedroom. Also a secondspare key would have been great as well as a decent hoover. That all being said though loved our stay there to remember my dad, public rooms so spacious and kitchen had everything f one needed to cook and relax.

We stayed at this wonderful holiday let from 29122025 to 03012026 and it was absolutely fabulous. The accommodation was warm, welcoming, spotless, and well equipped everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our family group of 8 was multigenerational, ranging from 12 to 85 years old, and the house suited everyone perfectly. The location was ideal too we didnt need to use the car all week, which made the stay even more relaxing. We visited local restaurants, the theatre Aldeburgh Jubilee Hall and the local cinema and enjoyed the fireworks on the beach on New Years Eve. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning.

The house is fabulous lovely and spacious and it was really well equipped kitchen wise. We had an amazing time away over Christmas and will definitely be back!

Wide Skies is an amazing house. I booked it for my cousins to stay in for a celebration of my Dad's life, who sadly passed away in May. They had a great week. It was lovely to spend time with them.

New Years 202324 we came and saw the fireworks, a swim on New Years Day, Steve's Birthday! Wide Skies is now a firm family favorite, we had a wonderful time, very clean and the kitchen is so well stocked, brilliant! See you next time.

We loved the house. It suited all of us, plenty of room and lovely decor. The house has been maintained to a very high standard and is extremely well equipped. We all loved the position as it was a stones throw from the beach and high street but on a very quiet road. Thank you.

The house has been a most enjoyable base, beautifully clean and well presented, it has been a joy. Carefully and cleverly modernised to the highest standard. Certainly our family favourite and we look forward to our return it has been a great week!

I would have given this stay a 5 star review except for your terrible customer service. We discovered we had forgotten an important item after we left. I phoned your number multiple times Always the wait was over 30 min with no one answering. I have not had a response to the emails I have sent you either. Disappointing customer service so I will not be recommending you or using you again. A shame as the house and stay was otherwise lovely. I would appreciate a call back to discuss this.

Excellent time in Aldeburgh again! . House met and exceeded our expectations. Just perfect for a large family!

The standard of cleanliness was generally good. However a dirty towel was left in 1st floor right hand side bedroom hanging behind the door. On emptying bathroom bins before leaving a child's dirty nappy and other discarded waste was left behind after a previous occupation. Both these instances could and should have been found by the cleaning team. There was a problem with the kitchen lights downstairs loo extractor fan. this was reported on Monday but only actioned on Wednesday. From a financial aspect the matter was resolved but quicker action by the housekeeping team should have been forthcoming

We have had a great time here at this lovely house. We have wanted for nothing with the house being so well equipped and such good quality items everywhere. It felt like a home rather than a holiday house. Great location too. We have been coming to Aldeburgh with Best of Suffolk for many years and this house has been by far the best. Thank you and the goodies were very much appreciated.

This holiday home is like a home as it is so well equipped and has everything you need. So comfortable and clean. In a great position and I would highly recommend this property. Owners have taken a great deal of time to ensure you want for nothing during your stay
