76a Mackworth Road, Porthcawl

We were very happy with the property and it's proximity to the beach. The owner left a very generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated after a long drive. We enjoyed our stay so much we have rebooked for next year.

We have stayed in his property a few times now and can't fault anything. The accomadation is a home away from home for us. It is in a fantastic location a few steps away from the sea and a short walk in to town and the harbour. The host provides everything you need and more for an amazing stay. Thank you, we will be back again I'm sure

Fabulous January stay 2 steps from lots of lovely beaches and town, free on road parking directly outside. Very responsive owner, with easy communication and check in. very spacious and comfortable, everything we needed, dog and child friendly too. Great value and will definitely stay again.

From Australia visiting elderly parents who live in Porthcawl so location was perfect. 6 day stay with my daughter and everything was perfect, clean & tidy, well equipped kitchen. Shower was great, My daughter really enjoyed the bathtub. 5 stars well deserved. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thankyou. PS the welcome gifts were very much appreciated and as it was over the Xmas period the Xmas tree was a nice touch

This was a really lovely property to stay in. It was spotlessly clean, in a fabulous location & very well appointed. You are literally seconds from the beach and a ten minute walk to the centre of town. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is there and we very much appreciated the Welsh cakes thank you. I would highly recommend Mackworth Road to anyone.

This is our second stay at Mackworth road, it was as lovely as the first. The accomadation is well kept, comfortable and has everything we need. The location is amazing with the beach on your doorstep and plenty of lovely coastal walks. The town of Porthcawl is only a short walk and has a lovely harbour area and plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. Our 10 year old is also very glad of how close the house is to the arcades and fair

A lovely cared for place to stay that has provide my friend and I with some much needed rest. Lovely and clean with attention to detail. Located right next to Coney Beach. I highly recommend!

We had a lovely weekend Mackworth Road, great location only a few metres from the beach and a short walk to the town with plenty of amenities. Very nice property with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away, very good size with plenty of home comforts. We did have a problem with the heating and the lovely owner was extremely helpful and arranged for someone to come and fix it very quickly. Would definitely recommend but might not be suitable for people with mobility issues as there are steps up to the property. Definitely give this place a 910

A wonderful place to stay, the accommodation was exceptionally comfortable and clean and it is so close to the beach. Also, thank you for the welcome items which included milk, bread etc, they were a very touching and practical extra. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Lovely apartment with everything you could want loved the dressing gowns , welcome pack and doggy treats and equipment . So close to sea we walked down in our costumes to have an October swim and short walk to town centre highly recommended

We had an lovely stay here, the accommodation was like a home from home, so clean and had everything you could wish for and more. Just a few footsteps to the beach and plenty in the area to keep our little family busy. Thank you so much we will be returning

Had a really lovely week in Porthcawl with the dog. 2 minutes no exaggeration from beach. You can see surfers and swimmers in the sea when you have breakfast! You can walk to the promenade and shops in about 510 minutes. Neighbours friendly and helpful. Pub with food just around corner and you can take the dog. Flat super clean and the owner has supplied everything you could possibly need. Lovely welcome pack too. Thoroughly recommend and definitely want to go back again.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The location is excellent, right next to the beach. Nice and cozy, They accommodated our second dog with no problem. All rooms are a great size, even the bathroom. The shower is great with hot water every time. Katrina left bacon, bread, butter, milk, dog treats, malt loaf and sachets of hot chocolate. Very handy. Will definitely stay again. Katrina sorted out a problem straight away when we told her about it. She was very helpful.

We had a lovely time when we returned to Mackworth Road for the second time. It is ideal for just getting away from it all after spending the day with family who live in the area. It provides the best of both worlds being on the coast and being able to just enjoy the scenery and also being within driving distance of being able to go shopping at the outlet in Bridgend or in Cardiff. It has everything you need for you stay. The sitting area outside the front is lovely as you are able to sit and just watch the waves coming in and out. Will definitely be booking again in the future, as we all enjoyed our stay especially Rosie the dog.

Some noise from the fairground at the weekend but with doors and windows closed this was minimal and worth it to be so close to the beech and facilities. Katrina was a great host and a very small issue was rectified by her very quickly. The apartment was spacious. The dining area and terrace have a lovely sea view. If we stayed again we would take a couple of good quality pillows with us as those provided are quite flat. The mattresses are very firm and we would have welcomed a mattress topper for additional comfort. WiFi speed was excellent. The smart TV was great. Over all we had a lovely stay.

Sorry for late reply. We had a lovely stay at Mackworth Road. There was a lovely welcome pack for us. The only complaint we had was the rubber bath mat was mouldy. Some of the utensils hadn't been washed up properly. The accommodation was well equipped and very comfortable. We would highly recommend it

Lovely place to come and stay, the owner left us with some Welsh cakes, milk, bacon, butter, bread and even a bottle of wine which was a lovely touch. Clean and tidy with all the amenities. Spacious bathroom and 2 lovely bedrooms, with one leading out to the back patio.. My only gripe was the parking, there isn't a space for parking outside the property and we had to park around the back on the main carpark... If the man isn't in his hut then it's free but if he is there then it's 3 all day.. Right next to beach and pub, arcade etc. You can hear the music but it does die down about 9pm. Overall a very nice stay...

We had a lovely stay here, beautiful and perfect location. Two teenagers, one adult and dog! One of the most relaxing holidays Ive had, lovely dog friendly beach 15 min walk away but also a very large field two mins walk from the property. House had everything we needed and the courtyard garden has sun all day, or you can sit on the front porch and watch the world go by. The kids loved the fairground and very reasonable prices to what we are used to paying. We had no issues with parking but there are also two cheap car parks next to the property. Beach is beautiful and we had glorious weather so saw some lovely sunsets. I am hoping to book for us again next year. The owner was easily contactable should we have needed anything. Its a big thumbs up from our family.

A wonderful flat, very close to the sea. The new arrangement at the front of the building is great. Quite noisy at the weekend because of the fair, but this is only to be expected.

A beautifully decorated and very clean apartment. Extremely close to the sea which is great. Lively at weekends in the summer but not obtrusive.

What a lovely place to stay, the propety is a minutes walk from a beautiful beach whch my dog loved! I hope to stay here again very soon and I recommend it to anyone wanting a wee welsh getaway!

Great property which is very clean and has all facilities that you would require. Very comfortable to stay in. Stayed here last year also and the owners seem to have a keen interest to keep on improving the property for their guests. Fantastic location near to the beach, a fair, amusements, places to eat and within walking distance to the town of Porthcawl. Slight issues with parking during busy periods but this can easily be resolved once you get to know your way around. Highly recommended
