Capel Park (tyddynod Bach) Reviews

Had the most relaxing time ever. The accommodation was smaller than expected, but it was perfect for our needs. Very clean. The surroundings were stunning. The dog lived her best life here. The owners are very approachable. So if there is any problem, they are more than happy to help. Would definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely time
Lovely stay from start to finish, dog friendly all enclosed so i could relax without him running off.
Lovely property and owners. Enclosed garden with lovely views. Felt very private and secluded. Area was so quiet and we wnjiyed watching tge sheep and cows on the fields on the hill from the veranda. Had issues with Sykes with terrible customer service since booking so be aware of that not representative of the owners. Dont forget to pack a kitchen towel, large knife, hand wash, and salt n pepper as not provided compared to other places we have stayed, alongside your other food items. For those visiting during warmer weather there was also a bbq when we visited that can be used.
Just returned from a week here and had the most beautiful, relaxing break. Lucky with the weather so spent a lot if time at the sea. Myfanwy, Nathan and family were lovely, helpful with advice about restaurants etc, and not intrusive at all. Enclosed garden so that our dog could roam freely and a hot tub to relax in on the odd day that the weather wasn't great. Only thing missing was an ice compartment in the fridge so that we could have ice in our drinks at the end of the night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Helen and Mark
Disappointed. Photos not true representation. Needs a good clean. Floor had dog hairs. Only brush & pan to sweep up. Which still had fluff & hairs in it when we arrived. Patio windows dirty, hand prints & lower down doggy nose prints. Shower room modern but needs cleaning properly. Outside cushions on chairs dirty with fly poo. All that said lovely outlook, an attractive holiday home which needs some love & attention

We stayed for two weeks at the property and really enjoyed it. The property now has its own bathroom at the side of it which was new, very clean and the shower was nice and hot. The bed was very comfortable and kitchen area had everything we needed. The owner gave us a lovely welcome pack of local products which was really nice and had prepped the accommodation so that we felt right at home as soon as we arrived. The garden area was great for our dog to run around in along with having a range of comfortable seating and fire pit. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda and admiring the view. The hot tub was nice and hot, we kept on throughout our stay and had no problems that others had suggested. We were very pleased with this accommodation and the owners ensured we had everything we needed including changing towels a couple of times during our stay and changing bedding. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.

Very nice place to stop for people who have dogs, secure for your dog to have a sniff about.

The owners, Nathan and Myfanwy are very nice and helpful. The booking was actually for my fatherinlaw whilst we stayed nearby in our caravan. They spoke to him everyday and made him feel looked after.

Great place, would highly recommend. Close to the beach to walk our 4 legged friend. Very quiet and relaxing, all you need for your stay is there. Met the property owner on our last morning, he was very friendly and recommend the most lovely beach to finish our stay, before travelling home.

We had a lovely relaxing stay. The hosts were very supportive and were quick to help with a few small minor issues we had, such as working the oven. The area is very peaceful with a closed off area for our dog to run around in.

A very relaxing break we both enjoyed it was peaceful and invigorating The views were spectacular on the island we both enjoy The cottage was clean and warm the only drawback was having to cross the yard to go for a shower but once the new bathroom is finished it will be excellent
Disappointing Experience Would Not Recommend I recently stayed at this lodge from February 1416, 2025, and I am extremely disappointed with the experience, especially considering the 455 price tag. Heres why 1 Hot Tub Issues The main reason I booked this lodge was for the hot tub, but it was a huge letdown. The water was only heated to 31C upon arrival, and despite requesting for it to be turned on at the mains, it remained unusable until late in the evening the following day. Not what I paid for. 2 Dirty and Unfinished Facilities The lodge was not up to standard. The bathroom was unsanitary, and we had to wash all the dirty plates and cutlery before use. The microwave was also dirty with food splashed on the inside. 3 Hidden Fees We were told the cost would be 405, but there was an unexpected 50 booking fee, which was never mentioned during the initial phone call. 4 Dog Issues Dog waste was left in the garden, which we had to walk through to get to the shower block. Overall, this was not the relaxing getaway we had hoped for. The facilities were below expectations, and the lack of service and cleanliness was unacceptable. I requested a refund but received no compensation. I would not recommend staying here.
Had a great relaxed week, would have liked to have rated as 5 stars but the external washroom facilities lost the property one star. The owners said they plan to add to building soon. Views from the veranda are great and the area is quiet, perfect for a dog who is afraid of fireworks. Maybe a little note explaining which fields are available for dog walking would be helpful
Lovely location and a great view. Hot tub was great. Was comfortable recommended the owner gets a full size sofa. Lovely deck to sit and enjoy the view and quiet. Whatthreewords is incorrect, should be backpacks.items.statement. Overall the place was clean but would recommend the owner getting a long duster to clean the high areas of spiders.

We have just returned from a week holiday at Capel Park with our two little dogs. If you want a relaxing, chilled out holiday then this is the place. The views from the front porch are amazing and it's great to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. The property is situated within easy reach of all major Anglesey attractions whilst still retaining its peace and tranquility. The owners are very friendly and welcoming whilst maintaining a distance. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return. Thank you Keith, Jacquie, Bonny&Willow

Thank you Nathan and Myf for having us , cheers Nathan for taking Leon on a tractor ride The room was spacious enough, the bed was really comfy , all other facilities were great , lovely surroundings and views , we were lucky to have a week of sun Everything was was great but Im sure future guests would appreciate a clothes rail , a decent sofa as the little one is too low down and if a mop and bucket was left there it would be ideal as the floor does get grubby . . the hot tub takes around 5 hours to heat up to 35 c so would be best to ask owner to turn it on in advance as it keeps being turned off it gets really warm Thanks to you both , only adding my comments as it just need tweaking slightly.. good luck with your future projects and see you again Steve and Leon

What a beautiful little cottage in the most stunning place! The wildlife we seen on our stay was truly amazing! The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in after a busy day being tourists round North Wales. Would 100 recommend, hosts were lovely and went beyond our expectations. Hopefully we will be back in the future!

We requested an extra night 3 weeks before our arrival date and Sykes kept saying they could not get hold of the vendor We spoke to the vendor and he said that was not true they had heard nothing from Sykes about our stay very frustrating The toilet is outside but is at least 300 yds from cottage and difficult as I was recovering from surgery Not suitable if you are a frequent visitor Host was lovely would recommend but with clear info about the toilet

The property is lovely and so peaceful and quiet. The hosts are very helpful, kind and friendly. We had lovely days out with nice walks along beaches and the coastal path and also did the boat trip to Puffin Island. After your day out its lovely to sit in the garden or on the veranda having a drink. We loved going in the hot tub in the evenings. We would definitely recommend this property.

The cottage is cosy & tidy providing a peaceful & quiet scenery around. You will hear nature surrounded by you with birds happily singing. The location is very convenient to visit South Stack, Newborough forest & Dingle Reserve. It is nice to sit down on the deck chairs to enjoy the sunset or bbq after the walks. Nathan the host is really friendly & helpful, we have enjoyed the stay.
The location of the property was amazing and very quiet and relaxing. The cooking facilities were somewhat lacking and there were very limited utensils. The advertised hot tub kept being turned off and eventually the owners requested we switched it on when we needed it and turned it off afterwards but due to the delay in this being conveyed we were unable to use the hot tub on all days we were there. There was a BBQ and a fire pit but no wood or charcoal was made available to purchase. As there is no TV Ariel the only option is to stream the TV, but this was sometimes very difficult due to it buffering.

The property was set in lovely countryside. The views from the sheltered veranda, and large windows inside were great. Such a peaceful and restful place, and convenient for exploring the island. The property was clean and comfortable, and my dog loved the fields to explore directly from the property. Thank you to the owners for their friendly, thoughtful help, and kindness.
Amazing stay at Tyddynod Bach, Myf and Nath are so nice and friendly and made me feel right at home. Amazing views and such a lovely area would definitely recommend and will come back ver soon

We had a fantastic stay at Capel Park. The facilities are great a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed, heater in bathroom, hot tub, a covered deck area and a large secure garden for the dog. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and the bottle of fizz was a lovely touch on arrival. The location is a great base to reach all parts of the island and has fabulous views. Excellent value for money.
Lovely property with very caring and friendly hosts! Thanks for the great stay the marshmallows Hope to return, would 100 recommend to others.

This was a very well kept cottage! The owners went above and beyond for us to make sure my partner had a lovely birthday! We really enjoyed our stay here and the amount of space there was for our dog was amazing!
We had the most relaxing, peaceful stay at Capel park Tyddynod Bach ! Staying here was the best decision for our weekend away in Wales. The interior was very modern, clean and cosy. The bed was comfortable and it was lovely waking up having breakfast on the covered terrace overlooking the countryside. The hot tub was amazing and great to relax in after days walking and exploring. The location was perfect for us only a short drive to the local pubs, restaurants and Anglesey's wonderful beaches and other attractions as well as only being 40 minutes from Snowdon! The hosts really made our stay, they couldnt do enough for us and had great attention to detail. They made our Valentines Day really special so thank you so much and we cant wait to return!
We had a great stay, beautiful view when we woke up . Plenty to do ,hosts was lovely and so welcoming definitely would go back in the summer
