The beautiful landscape of the Newlands Valley offers miles of breathtaking walks and bike trails. Derwentwater is to the east (3 miles) and is a popular spot for cruises, fishing and kayaking. Buttermere and Crummock Water are to the west (both 4. 5 miles), providing some stunning scenery. The delightful village of Braithwaite (3 miles) has a couple of welcoming pubs. Local landmarks and attractions include the Bowder Stone (6 miles), Honister Slate Mine (8 miles), Whinlatter Forest Park (5 miles) and the Lake District Wildlife Park (10 miles). The flourishing town of Keswick (5. 5 miles) has a range of great pubs, shops and restaurants, and is home to the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place and the Theatre by the Lake.

Buttermere and Crummock Water are to the west (both 4.5 miles), providing some stunning scenery. The delightful village of Braithwaite (3 miles) has a couple of welcoming pubs. Local landmarks and attractions include the Bowder Stone (6 miles), Honister Slate Mine (8 miles), Whinlatter Forest Park (5 miles) and the Lake District Wildlife Park (10 miles). The flourishing town of Keswick (5.5 miles) has a range of great pubs, shops and restaurants, and is home to the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Place and the Theatre by the Lake. Situated on the first floor of a beautiful barn conversion, there’s level access from the parking space via the door and into the main open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which features original beams and views out across the valley. Stepping into this spacious, light and tastefully furnished living space, you will find a charming lounge with a TV, a wood burner effect electric fire in a stone fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating, perfect for unwinding in at the end of a great day. The dining area is perfect for you to gather together and enjoy a hearty meal which you can cook in the stylishly arranged kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven with ceramic hob, under-counter fridge with ice compartment and a microwave. Exploring further, the apartment has two pretty bedrooms: a double room with an en-suite bathroom complete with bath and WC, and a delightful twin room with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Both bedrooms also have a TV/DVD. Parking is available just around the corner from the property, with further parking in the main farmyard. There’s also storage space, shared with the other properties on-site, suitable for bikes, outdoor equipment and muddy boots – please bring your own bike locks.
