Sail Lodge Reviews

We had a lovely time staying at Sail Lodge. The property is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It is located within an easy walk to the sea. I was there as a party of 14 adults and each person told me how lovely the house was. It is spacious and had enough room for more to stay. We had a great time.
Great communication from start to finish. Clear information and instructions, and very helpful when I requested extra parking permits. Property is in a good location, close to everything in Scarborough and near the beautiful Peasholm Park. Julie even got in touch after we left to check we'd enjoyed our stay.
We had a fantastic weekend at the Sail Loft celebrating my daughters 40th birthday party with all our family including our 10 Grandchildren. The property is in a great location, it is very spacious.and comfortable. We would certainly return to the Sail Loft, but to help the owner to further improve the experience for other guests I would like to make the following commentssuggestions 1 There was only 1 very small frying pan in the kitchen which made cooking a full english breakfast for the family as you do on holiday a very difficult and stressful experience. 2 Many of the plates were chipped this is not acceptable 3 There were no serving dishes, so were had to put saucepans on the table as we presented food to everyone not acceptable 4 The dishwasher box where you put your tablet had no lid on it which impaired the quality of dishwashing 5 The cutlery holder in the dishwasher was broken so cutlery fell through into the base of the dishwasher 6 There were no egg cups for the children to have dippy eggs not essential I know, but most places provide this 7 The roller blind in the back room came down ok at night, but we couldn't get it back up in the morning 8 The quilts on many of the beds were not big enough
Really nice house, very clean and tidy and we all had a lovely time. There was an issue with the boiler on the Saturday morning, but in all fairness, this was rectified within an hour of reporting it via the Sykes app and was fixed by the time we got back from breakfast, so that was actually very impressive. We would definitely stay there again.
Ideally located for visiting Scarborough. Clear instructions before arrival, especially about parking permit requirements. To have 7 bathrooms for 20 people was amazing. Lovely & clean on arrival & a hot tub too. Perfect for an extended family stay. House lovely & warm for our autumn stay. If planning to cook a huge meal onin the cooker check temperature gas as it was a bit below the norm. A few minor Housekeeping comments fed back for improvement. Would definitely recommend & use again

Pictures dont do it justice its a very spacious house with plenty of bedrooms. We had 13 adults and 2 kids and it worked perfectly. Everything was clean and tidy and you had everything you needed in the kitchen. The only thing I would have liked in the kitchen is an air fryer, just for ease when cooking for lots of people. I will definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at Sail Lodge. The photos dont do it justice, the place is huge, plenty of room for 20 people to celebrate and also have their own space. The house was spotless, lovely white towels in each room. The kitchen had everything you need and a lovely big cooker. Bonus to have a hot tub aswell. Good communication throughout from first booking to updates regarding key code and parking permits. Location was ideal and would definitely return.

From booking, to any request prior to stay and overall communication about this property, we had a very professional service. The house was immaculately clean, in a great location, with enough space inside and out for extended family to relax and still have that home from home feel. A very well stocked kitchen with everything youd need to prepare breakfast & dinner for 20 guests. Bedrooms were tastefully decorated and bathrooms were immaculately clean and modern with quality fluffy white towels! A bedroom ensuite walkin shower on the ground floor level was perfect for us as we had four generations resulting in great grandparents didnt need to tackle the stairs. Only 2 steps into their room. If I had to suggest anything that was missing and I now wish I bought one to leave there it was a whisk utensil for whipping cream or making scrambled eggs. There was the cleaning basics, washing up liquid, bench spray and bleach provided which was perfect and although we brought our own cooking oil there was cooking oil provided but no salt and pepper. A mini super market just 3 mins walk was perfect. Everyone had a great time with so much to do in Scarborough youd need a week not a weekend!
Sail lodge is an amazing property which was perfect for our stay. The house itself is well equipped for large groups and had everything we needed. The downstairs living space and through dining room ensured that everyone could be together. It felt homely from the moment we arrived. The kids loved the basement area and made that their own private space. Having a ground floor bedroom was also ideal for one of the couples in our group, who would have struggled with the stairs. The location is ideal for all amenities whether by foot, car or public transport. We have had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Sail Lodge to anyone.
We had an excellent stay. Accommodation was great and well situated.
Nicely decorated conveniently property which suited several families over our weekend. The host was welcoming too!

What an amazing space this house is. Our family occasion made all the more special because we could share living space and still have the privacy of plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We had a minor maintenance issue and it was dealt with quickly. The staff provided valuable information and Julie was very friendly and kept in touch before, during and after our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.
