Seascape Cottage Reviews

Unfortunately the radiator in the twin bedroom was on all the time, even though it was set to the off position. Two of us were sleeping in that room. We had the window wide open all day and night but there are pigeons nesting in the rose tree outside and they got noisy in the early hours so we had to shut the window then. People have suggested black out blinds previously and I think they are necessary or at least thick dark curtains. The thin curtains in the bunk room are useless I'm afraid. Sorry about that.
Very nice cottage. Situated in a quiet square with an allocated parking space. Close to the village centre, short walk to the harbour and beach, and a great pub Black Swan. Very warm and cosy during winter. Plenty of room with three bedrooms and a nice little balcony off the en suite room in the roof. Views to the sea from top room. Would certainly recommend for a stay in Seahouses.
Great accommodation and superb location. Very well equipped with everything you need, just a quick little trip to the local shop 300metres away and you have a great start to your break

Lovely spot, close to the town. Parking was tricky, especially with a large car like mine, but perfectly acceptable if others are considerate and think of others when abandoning their cars. Unfortunately, this was not the case for some of our returns house 10, I think it was. The accomodation was lovely and a little quirky on the top floor, but not ideal for my wife who has mobility problems, especially with stairs, as the bathroom was on the GF resulting in additional trips up and down stairs to and from the bedroom. I don't recall seeing that info in the details when booking. A minor inconvenience is lack of anywhere to hang coats or put shoes

Outstanding weeks holiday in Seahouses Northumberland. Quaint cottage plum in the middle an old seaside village Excellent views from the attic room of Bamburgh castle,Lindisfarne and the Farne islands Must return THANKS !

Lovely, well maintained cottage, has everything you need. Very clean and comfortable, nice location great place to watch the sunset over the harbour Good for our 'older kids' to walk off into the town on their own. The ONLY draw back was the parking, we took our smaller car, if we'd been in our Galaxy, we wouldn't have got it through the tight archway into a very tightly packed courtyard, the property itself was perfect Thank you D
The owner very friendly and accommodating. The property had everything we needed, including welcome packs and plenty of pillows. The views in the top bedroom were amazing! Such a lovely place to rest and read. Coastal walk outside door with lots of birds and wildlife to spot, and locality perfect and quiet. The bonus of having Sky TV great for unwinding.
Needs new mattresses throughout. Small bottles of shampoo and shower gel would have been nice.
Been going to Seahouses for years, and never knew this little gem was tucked away in a quiet little spot, so close to the beach. A lovely property, with good use of ample space, both cosy and practical. Property configuration is great and every room is comfortable and spacious enough to meet your needs. Especially the children's bunk room, very cute. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are comfortable, and views are fantastic from the upper floor. The artwork throughout adds to the feel of well cared for loved, charm character. Thoughtful little touches. TV phone signal was a little tricky occasionally, but nothing that caused any issues, even with two tech crazy kids. Neighbours in the square were friendly, and passed pleasantries. Parking is adequate for one car. Happy to accept a well behaved pet, which is always a super bonus, so thank you for that! Would not hesitate to recommend! If you're considering it, you will not be disappointed!
So much care and thought has been invested into creating a perfect holiday home in Seascape Cottage. Thought you ensure visitors maximise their enjoyment. We loved our stay and only complaint is it wasnt long enough as we only had 3 nights. Great location, walk to all amenities. Peaceful and extremely clean and comfortable. The air source heating ensures warm temp throughout cottage. We would love to stay again. Only marked slightly down on facilities due to tightness of parking when other cars in parking area, proves a little tricky but plan provided is helpful and we appreciate Seahouses was not built for lots of large vehicles so we understand this. Would be great if recycling was provided, so we didnt have to bring our glass home. Otherwise perfect! Thank you

We had a fabulous 3 days in this lovely warm and cosy cottage. The weather was cold but bright and lovely for coastal walks from the doorstep in both directions. For a longer walk we caught the bus from the top of the street towards Craster and walked back. A real highlight of the cottage was the upstairs room with fabulous views across to the Farne Islands on one side and the sheltered balcony which caught the morning sun on the other.

The cottage was lovely it was situated in the centre of Seahouses a minutes walk to the harbour, pubs and shops. The cottage was clean and very well presented we would definitely stay again.
Just got back from a lovely short stay in this holiday let. It was exactly what we wanted. The upstairs double bedroom views were amazing. The property had everything you would need for a lovely stay. Would stay here again.

A nice, well equipped, cottage in an excellent location, but the heating system was a nightmare ! Turning off all the radiators didnt help because some of them didnt have valves on, and the heat was belting out all the time ! No privacy in the third attic bedroom as it was an open staircase I have renovated many properties and have always had to have a door that closes for the attic room, required by building control, so I cant understand why this didnt I will definitely be back to the area again, but not to this property unfortunately

Lovely cottage in the centre of Seahouses with pubs and restaurants all cos by

I had a lovely week and the location was great. A couple of things were a minor issue. The parking was a real problem for the first 48 hours due to a neighbour having 3 cars! Luckily the owners appeared one day and it was sorted. The drive way is cobbled which is quaint but not good if you have slight mobility issues. It should be tarmaced and parking bays should be marked out for clarity. There also wasn't a fish slice! . But I had a great time, thanks.
Frances
Spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet location close to the shops, beach and coastal path. We only stayed a couple of nights but really enjoyed ourselves.
