South Bay Beach House, Bridlington

We enjoyed a week's family holiday here. The property is large and in a quiet street with private parking which we much appreciated. We also liked the fact that it is only a couple of hundred yards or so from the beach. The beds were comfortable and the property was well equipped and comfortable . We felt that the contract cleaners probably did the minimum. however. Some of the rooms had electric blinds which we operated with care, but in one room the blind did not respond to the remote control. and there were also some little things such as the door to the fridge had become disconnected to the fridge door which meant opeening two doors instead of one. The shower in room 2 lacked a non slip mat which made its use somewhat hazardous. Our only real complaint was that the central heating boiler cut out many times during its operating period and we had to reset it each time. This was a problem as the weather was cold and sometime the boiler did not come on in the afternoon or the morning when it should have. That said there were a number of electric heaters downstairs which we were able to use before the radiators became hot. Overall however the positives outweighed the few negative points.

On arrival there were issues with the heating but the owners went above and beyond to rectify this problem. This is our fourth year staying at the property.

This is our 4th visit to this property. It is very comfortable with plenty of space to spread out. We had a quick response from the owners to a problem with some of the radiators and good communication before and after our holiday. Family rooms are large. Its in an ideal location being minutes walk from South beach, close to shops and facilities and for walkers, you have plenty of choice such as walking to Sewerby from the house and Flamborough Head and Bempton cliffs only a short drive away.

Had a lovely week just a few things that wanted to be dealt with like shower not working in one of the rooms and a couple of toilets not right . But other wise its a lovely place to stay for a group of people.

South Bay Beach House is a beautiful property which is so spacious. It has everything you could possibly need for a large group of people. We were a group of 14 adults and 3 small children,who had a whale of a time just chasing each other up and down stairs, going up one flight and coming down a different flight till their little hearts were content. It was quite an adventure for a 2 4 and 5 year olds. We had a problem with a couple of the showers as couldn't get the temperature right with them,but we just used the other showers. We couldn't get the heating on. I phoned Katrina who got someone to come out asap and problem was solved. Maybe another bin could be provided in the kitchen for recycling purposes. Only other fault is dusty skirting boards in entrance hall We had a lovely stay and if we choose to visit Bridlington we would certainly choose this property again. We were 5 minutes walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the town centre.there were several places to eat, whether we wanted a snack or a meal.

We spent a lovely weekend here with friends, 16 in total. The house is incredibly well equipped and accommodation comfortable. Off street parking was a bonus as we had 7 cars to accommodate. The location was perfect, a 2 minute walk to the beach and 10 minutes into town. We could well be returning to South Bay Beach House.

This cottage is great value for money.

The property had everything we needed. It was spacious enough for the 8 adults and 8 kids and 2 dogs. It was in good proximity for the beach and we had a lovely week. Thank you

An amazing location close to the beach, and a beautiful house perfect for our large group. Every bedroom is lovely, plenty of bathrooms and truly dog friendly. We had a great time and would definitely recommend South Bay Beach House, or use it again for a big group stay.

There was plenty of choice of rooms ,crockery and cutlery. My daughter was a bit surprised by the size of the oven for 16 but she managed.. The position is excellent for access to the beach which is really good.

Great for a large family and excellent value for money. Perfectly located near beautiful long beaches, and just a short walk to the town centre, which is packed with loads to see and do for everyone. Its also a great base for exploring nearby spots like Scarborough, Filey, RSPB Bempton we saw puffins!, and Flamborough Lighthouse with the Drinking Dinosaur we even saw seals and dolphins!. Thanks to the owner and team who where super helpful and perfect in they communication pre, during and post. My little sister said My favourites seaside holiday ever!

Much improved from last 2 visits and much warmer. Already booked for next year .

We had a lovely family 70th birthday it was so nice that we could all get together although some maintenance work is needed there are two dining room chairs that need attention, some of the crockery needs replacing and all the chipped ones thrown away, chips hold germs, another downstairs toilet would be good as everyone was using ours as they didnt want to go back upstairs, also the stairs carpet needs replacing before someone catches their foot and falls otherwise we had a lovely time.

Ideal location with acess to south beach at the end of the road and a short walk to townharbour. A comfortable, clean and well equiped house. My family of 10, inc 4 children, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Off road parking a bonus. It was one of those holidays where the car stayed there for most of the time.

Not suitable for disabled people need a ramp at the front door. Light switch for downstairs bedroom in wrong place. Furniture in the lounge very low.

This was our second staySuperb locationWe had heating issues in the downstairs rooms but the owner was very quick to respond.

We had a great stay at South Bay Beach House. We were a mixed group of 11 adults and children. The property is extremely spacious with lots of sleeping options and was very comfortable. We loved the dining and bar area with a hatch through to the kitchen. There are some maintenance issues in some areas which the new owners seem aware of and have a plan to address them. But these were minor and did not effect our stay, we would be happy to stay again.

Fantastic space for a large family group, 3 generations including dogs! Well equipped and in a great position for the South Beach with off road parking included. A couple of maintenance issues which we left a note of in a book provided by the new owners which Im sure will be dealt with quickly.

We have stayed at this property several times over the years and have never been disappointed. It now has a new owner, but everything was just as good as ever. We'll definitely be returning in the future.

This is a spacious property ideal for several generations holidaying together. The very new owners are already busy with improvements and immediately took on board some of our suggestions. Our party really enjoyed the playroom and the pool table. Dogs are well catered for too.

As it was a crossover period with owners sone details were missing. Original booking was 3pm check in but owner thought its was 4pm so Sykes must have informed her incorrectly. Also new owner did not have chance to let us know about rubbish recycling and each bin had domestic waste in. Not the owners fault as she was so nice and helpful but maybe when properties change hands there is a plan in place for customers House is great, location great and we had a great time Couple small maintenance issues which we left on a note for owner Thank you
