The Orchard Reviews

Amanda
Even before we arrived, Pauline the property manager had phoned me to advise me of the key code and to inform me that we would be able to get in earlier than the normal arrival time. In the event, she messaged me on the day to tell me we could get in even earlier. From the moment we arrived, the property was everything we could have hoped for. It was so beautiful and comfortable and a fresh cream tea treat was waiting for us. It was so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. I messaged Pauline while we were there and she was very helpful. The property itself was so well placed not only for the beach and the pubs, but also exploring the rest of Cornwall. The only feedback I have is that it would have been handy to have had a written property information pack. The owner had emailed me earlier in the week with all the information about the property, bins, leaving instructions etc. But though i'd read through it briefly at home, once we were there, we couldnt bring up the attachment to read the info on the bins. Hence the message to Pauline. It would have been handy to have had a file with all the information in written form at the actual property. Other than that, everything was spot on and I would 100 recommend this property to anyone. Loved it.

A large home, fully equipped with everything you need for a large family holiday. We were 3 generations and it was lovely for us all to be in the kitchenDiningsitting area together where we could keep an eye on the little ones. Situated in a very nice village with nice pubs and food.
Beautiful well presented property with everything you need for a wonderful stay.

A truly beautiful house in a great location. It is well stocked for a large family & we loved the puzzles & games.

This is now our third visit to this property, its a beautiful spacious home with lots of space with a large garden thats enclosed so safe for children and dogs! The kitchen has a warm feel to it being open its a nice place to sit and chat with groups of friends, plenty of cutlery, plates, pans, dishes etc! All the bedrooms are bright and the beds are super comfy. The local pubs are literally less than a minutes walk and offer some great meals, the beach is probably an 510 min walk! All in all I cannot wait until Im back!
Deborah
A spacious property in an ideal location for visiting the nearby beach. So many items in the property we've not had in previous self catering accommodation. Everything has been though of. Look forward to returning.
Saucepans are a little scratched and perhaps need replacing. All other facilities are excellent. There was the occasional smell of drains when entering the property. Overall very good and hopefully we will return. Pauline very helpful.

Thank you for a wonderful stay we could not fault anything house is so well stocked, the sconescoffeeflowers etc was a lovely welcome and minor issue with hot tub was sorted very promptly Pauline is fantastic! Look forward to our next visit xx
Fantastic property, an issue with access on arrival as key safe did not work but Pauline came over quickly to let us in. Would recommend a larger waste bin in the kitchen and some of the pans are quite scratched, but otherwise we had a brilliant stay and would not hesitate to return.
Lovely well kept property dining area kitchen fantastic! Excellent position!
Our third visit to this lovely spacious property and it didnt disappoint. Lovely warm welcome and the extras left were greatly appreciated, thank you. Good communication from Nicola and Pauline. We definitely will be booking again as its such a great location for exploring this part of Cornwall. We managed to dodge most of the rain and walked the coastine and beaches. An added bonus is the bus stops opposite so you can walk and catch the bus back for a relaxing dip in the hot tub.
This was our second visit and all in all a great stay, the location is to die for and accommodation lends to a large group. The overall standards of cleanliness had dropped this year, i do think if there was a decent vacuum cleaner we could have addressed this. Lots of pet hair on carpets, we found three contact lenses on the bedroom floor, there was hair on the kettle and bread bin wasnt clean. The Teflon pans Forever Chemicals were badly scratched and burned. The orangery lantern roof was covered in cobwebs. And on our last day when stripping the beds we found blood staining on the mattress protector. We do love the place and if available would book again without hesitation but these things just need tickling up.
Brilliant stay at a lovely property.
We had a wonderful stay in beautiful crantock. The house is in a perfect location with two lovely pubs. The beach is unbeatable for children. Only a short drive from Newquay. The house was modern inside with a lovely kitchen living area and the bedrooms were very comfortable with comfy beds and clean linen. The only negative we have is that the hot tub didnt look very clean when we arrived i think the water needs to be emptied in between visitors to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness. By the fourth day of the holiday we couldnt go in the hottub as it had gone really murky. Also the patio area could have done with a spruce up, grass growing between the paving. But that is being very picky. Holiday in Crantock and stay in this house, you will have a brilliant time.

Lovely house large, light and airy, with a really wellequipped kitchen. And couldn't be more handy for the village shop!
The property was superb. Location perfect. Furnished and equipped to the highest standard it had everything we needed plus some items we didnt know we needed but are now essential the hot tub for one! Ample parking , lovely garden, beautiful rooms it was an amazing week. Thank you !
Fabulous holiday home, everything was so comfortable and roomy. If you have a person who is older or with mobility needs the downstairs bedroom with own ensuite was perfect as it was for our Mum. The garden is huge and the pictures cant do it justice and secure. The local pubs and beach within a short walk make this place gold standard. Thanks to Pauline and Nicola for good communication too. See you next year.
Alison
Yet another stay in this amazing property. Cant wait to go back!
Michael
It did exactly what it said on the tin. Excellent location and accommodation. The ability to walk to Crantock beach and avoid the daily queues for parking was a real bonus. Expensive but worth every penny. Pauline, the property manager, was unfailingly helpful.
Richard
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, its a beautiful villa in a lovely village. Would have appreciate a mirror in the downstairs bedroom, other than that everything was fine, and the scones were a lovely welcome. Thanks again. Vida .x
