Tonnau Yr Oleu Or “ Waves Of Light”, Barmouth

We booked this accommodation because of the view and it didnt disappoint it was breathtaking! . the beds were so comfortable and bedrooms were clean. The area was quiet and the access to the walks up the hills and over were amazing, we really loved everything about the location and most of the house . Jo who helped us up the hill was friendly and very helpful. unfortunately we did have a couple of issues that weve not had before with holidays letting . There were areas that needed improvement the pathing at the front of the house needs re doing and when its dark can be quite dangerous as a trip hazard , the outside furniture has seen better days . The cushions had been left out and were soaking wet on arrival. The Tv had been smashed by the last guest , we contacted the owner who informed us they were aware of the issue but couldnt do anything about it , we understand its not the owners fault and these things do happen but its not our fault either , as a family we like to snuggling up and watch a movie after a long day. There no grill pan and only one small oven tray . we dont mind walking up and down the VERY steep hill and its so close to the centre of Barmouth without any of the noise but please be mindful if you have mobility or respiratory issues its probably not the place for you . communication was good

Stunning place with the best views ever , we had a great time

We had read that the hill was steep but it still came as a little bit of shock how steep. Luckily we had arranged to have our luggage and food taken up for us by Rock Runs who were brilliant. The house and the view from each floor made that climb completely worthwhile. We had an amazing stay and loved Barmouth and all the facilities the house had. Our only slight issue was the patio is open by the steps which made it difficult with dogs so a gate would be fantastic. Would definitely rebook

Amazing location and the best views of the beach. Very difficult walk up and down the hill to reach the property. Not suitable for elderly or children in pushchairs. Very comfortable dwellings.
